WARBY PARKER

Have y’all ever ordered from Warby Parker before? I’d heard of the brand of course, but I’d never even been on the site. Well, like I told y’all last week I got on two weeks ago and ordered this pair for myself in tortoise. But before I settled on this pair, I “tried on” several different pairs with their virtual try-on technology.

I had so much fun exploring their site and “trying on” the glasses I was considering. There were several glasses that I was drawn to and thought I liked, but once I “tried them on” I got a really good feeling for which ones I wanted and it really was so helpful to “see” them on me.

FYI: I knew I wouldn’t like the bottom right pair on me, but I thought it would be fun to show that pair so you could see how you can really get an idea of what the frames will look good on your face! Yeah, the Armando frames are gonna be a NO for me dog.

So I decided on the Rosie frames, they arrived this week, and I’M CRAZY ABOUT THEM. The quality is top-notch.

Now listen, they are more expensive than any other readers I have, but they are also the nicest BY FAR. They are super lightweight, they don’t hurt my head at all (even when I wear them for long periods of time), and they come packaged beautifully in a great box with a really sturdy case.

FATHER’S DAY GIFT

I told y’all on Wednesday that I got Chris 2 Poncho shirts and a Poncho hat for Father’s Day last year. He wore the shirts alllllllll the time and raved about them every single time he wore them. If you’ve been following along for a while, then you know that this type of top is a long-time favorite of mine.

So no surprise here, I’M FULL BLOWN OBSESSED with this olive tassel tie top and right now it’s 30% OFF! It has a swingy fit that looks great with both a 1/2 tuck and worn out. It has subtle puff sleeves with an elastic band that reach almost to the elbow, and the colors and pattern on this one are totally unique with the navy, olive, cream, and rust color palette. Because of the seam near the chest, I need a medium for some extra room, but otherwise I think I would prefer the fit of the small.

I’ve been having so much fun styling and wearing my cream wide leg jeans that I knew I had to grab these olive wide leg jeans the second I saw them. These are incredibly comfy and have quite a bit more stretch than the cream ones, and the wide leg isn’t quite as wide. I actually like the fit of these better. And my goodness they are the perfect match for this top. For size reference, I’m wearing my regular size 4. I’ll style these pants with solid white, solid black, light pink, and stripes… and that’s just off the top of my head.

This floral dress surprised me in all the best ways, and now it’s 30% OFF! When I ordered it, I clearly didn’t read the description because in my mind it was a crisp cotton. Imagine my surprise when I pulled it out of the box and realized it was denim. To be honest, I was super disappointed at first, BUT THEN I PUT IT ON. And even though it’s quite a bit different than I thought, I put it on and loved it! I’m wearing a medium here, but although you can’t really tell here in the picture, I definitely need a small. Also, it is definitely on the shorter side, so keep that in mind when ordering.

THIS DRESS IS DARLING and 30% OFF right now!

It’s a brown and white gingham with a smocked top and a tiered bottom. AND THE SLEEVES (which you can see in the next picture) are absolutely adorable.

See what I mean about the sleeves? Or maybe I should say straps?

They are wide with a double ruffle, and I love them. Also notice the teeny tiny pleated ruffle across top of the smocked bodice. This dress feels like pajamas, but it’s so stinkin’ cute I can hardly stand it.

I would suggest sizing down one for sure. I most often wear a medium in dresses, but I knew this one would be forgiving, so I ordered a small and I’m glad I did. If you’re normally a small and can’t size down because there’s not an xs, this dress will most likely be too big on you.

This garden shirt mini dress is a totally different look. It feels very Tommy Bahama, don’t ya think? And right now it’s 30% OFF! It’s a 100% crisp cotton, and I love the shift fit. It does run on the short side, but I happen to love that. 😉 I would totally wear it to church with wedges, but it’s very tropical and would also look great on vacation with flat sandals and a raffia bag. For size reference, I’m wearing a medium.

This striped ruffle sweater is what Americana dreams are made of, and right now it’s 30% OFF! The navy and white stripes and the little flutter sleeves are absolutely adorable. I love the red necklace with it. For size reference, I’m wearing a medium. It’s very stretchy, so I think a small would have been fine. Definitely size down if between sizes.

These Risen jeans are everything we know and love about the Risen brand. They are stretchy, flattering, and oh so comfy. This pair in particular has 256 reviews, and almost every single one of them is 5 STARS (a 4.71 average!). They are a fantastic pair of straight leg jeans with no distressing. Dress them up with wedges, dress them down with sneakers or flip flops, and find yourself wearing them on repeat. I’m telling you, this will become a GO TO pair of jeans for you. Because of the stretch, you can definitely size down in these jeans if between sizes. I’m wearing my regular size 27.

I thought it was super cute with the drawstring pants I showed you a couple of weeks ago too.

These are the J. Crew famous linen pants. I’m wearing the “flax” and think they are a perfect neutral, but them come in 9 color options. I’m wearing the petite medium, but they are a little roomier than I’d like them to be. I actually think I’m going to exchange them for a regular small (I’m 5’4″ with long legs and no torso). I would like them to be a little slimmer and a little longer.

ST. TROPEZ PIECES and J. CREW SALE

I think they look great paired with this bright top, but I’ve also ordered this lightweight white crewneck beach sweater to style them with for a super casual vibe.

This linen boatneck top is light, it’s airy, and it’s perfect for spring and summer. I love the boatneck and the boxy fit, and you know I love the color. I’ll be wearing this top with regular denim, with white denim, with cream denim, and hopefully with an array of drawstring shorts (both solids and patterns).

MINI JANE NECKLACES

GIRLS! I’m so excited that Baublebar came out with mini Jane necklaces. I have and love the original Jane, but the beads are quite big and I know they weren’t for everybody. These mini Janes are fabulous!

You can of course wear them one at a time, but I find that stacking two together is my favorite way to wear them. You’ll be seeing them stacked in lots of upcoming posts.
