LEOPARD BARREL JEANS
These leopard barrel jeans are a bit out of my comfort zone, but I’m going for it! I mean, I feel like I need to be pushed out of my comfort zone on occasion, and these are gonna be the pants to do it. I feel like a cool mom in them.
The reviews on these are awesome. They’ve got a cropped fit and kind of a subtle barrel fit, so I think they manage to still be flattering. Barrel jeans are so on trend, but even though I’ve tried several regular denim ones, I haven’t found any I liked on me (because I found all of them to add bulk). And come on, who in the world wants to add bulk? BUT THEN I TRIED THESE, and I can totally get on board.
They’ve got a little bit of stretch in them (which I pretty much require these days), so I’m wearing my regular size 4.
Other pros: they don’t seem to wrinkle and you’re going to get a ton of compliments when you wear these babies.

PUFF SLEEVE SWEATSHIRT
Ladies, I knew it. I first showed you this sweatshirt with straight leg jeans and booties a couple of weeks ago, and I totally called it. I knew beyond a shadow of a doubt that this sweatshirt would become one of my favorite and most worn shirts of the season. AND I WAS RIGHT. I’ve already worn it 3x. Is it flashy? No. Is it a great basic that happens to be flattering that I know I will reach for all the time? 1,000% YES.
As soon as I tried it on, I hopped on and ordered the “cherry tomato” too. It also comes in black and navy.
This sweatshirt is soft, it’s cozy, and it’s cute. And while it is a sweatshirt, it is totally elevated with the slightly puffed sleeves (but they’re not aggressive at all) and the banded hem. I LOVE IT SO MUCH. And I’m not the only one that loves it, it has excellent reviews. For size reference, I’m wearing a medium.
I’m wearing my Mother jeans from 2 years ago that I’m still obsessed with, but now there’s an updated non-distressed version of the jeans. They’re the Mother Insiders, and they are denim perfection. I can wear both the 27 and the 28, but I prefer the fit of the 28.

I saw an influencer talking about these Steve Madden sneakers last week, I immediately hopped on Amazon and ordered them for myself, and they arrived in 2 days. I LOVE THEM. They are going to be a great sneaker for denim and sweaters all fall long. True to size and very comfy. These are the “tan multi”, but they come in a variety of colors! I also really love the green multi and the leopard.

I told y’all that I had ordered it in orange too, and it finally came in! Carter’s high school colors are navy and orange, so this will be perfect for me for game days.

This suede hobo bag is very on trend.
It’s a very pretty faux suede, it’s slouchy, it’s roomy, it has a magnetic snap closure, and it fits very comfortably on my shoulder (and stays put). This is the “yellowish brown”, but it also comes in “mocha brown” and black.

OUR RANCH TRIP
We had fall break this week, and we headed down to the ranch for a bit with just our family. Usually we have others with us (and we love it), but it was also nice to be just us for a few days. We managed to grab just a couple of pics one day when we were walking Charlie to the end of our road.
This one is going in a frame for sure.

NORDSTROM SALE
Okay, so one Nordstrom sale ended, and a NEW SALE began. Click HERE to shop everything on sale right now.
This dress is new to me, it’s fabulous, and it’s NOW ON SALE (even though I bought it at full price last week).
It’s a gorgeous fall floral on a black background. It is sheer, but there’s a spaghetti strapped black slip that comes with it, so you don’t have to worry about the sheerness. I love everything about it. The split neck, the sheer sleeves, the wide flirty skirted hem. It’s all really good. For size reference, I’m wearing a 6, so I would say it’s true to size.
I’m loving it with my neutral suede boots, but it would also look great with heels for a different look.

I’ve shown this cardi sweater jacket to you already in red, but this is the first time I’m showing it in the camel.
It’s a viscose fabric with a lot of stretch and give. It is a beautiful camel color and a perfect neutral piece that would be a great elevated basic for just about anybody to have in their closet. For size reference, I’m wearing a small. (I showed it in a medium when I showed it before in red, but I prefer the fit of the small as seen below.) This camel version is 30% OFF, but the red version just went 55% OFF.

SOME SUPER AFFORDABLE HOME FINDS
These stoneware nesting bowls are so pretty, and I’m so happy to have them in my kitchen now. The set is definitely pretty enough to leave out on the counter, but they are also super functional.
Just look at those scallops and fluted sides! And you aren’t going to believe the price.
Y’all. With all that we are learning about the dangers of microplastics now, I’ve been slowly trying to change out kitchen tools, tupperware, baking dishes, serving pieces, etc.
I grabbed this wood kitchen utensil set and am so pleased! It comes with a silver holder, but I happened to pick this crock up at a local antique store, and it was just perfect.
It might still be warm outside, but I’ve definitely switched my candles over to fall scents.

THE LION AND THE BEAR
Melanie Shankle was one of the very first bloggers I ever followed. And in the very early days of Pinterest Told Me To, I reached out to her and asked her to post about my blog, and she did. AND I ABOUT DIED FROM HAPPINESS.
Since that first interaction we had a chance to meet (probably 10 years ago now), we’ve hung out on a handful of occasions, and I’ve become great friends with one of her college besties. Melanie is the real deal. I know y’all know her already, if not from her hysterical podcast, then probably from one of her many delightful books or devotionals.
Well, her daughter Caroline just wrote HER first devotional. AND WOW.
I’ve never had the privilege of meeting Caroline, but I kind of feel like I have now that I’ve read part of The Lion and the Bear. Melanie must want to positively burst with pride, because Caroline’s book is absolutely incredible.
If you have a preteen girl, a teen girl, a college girl, or if you’ve ever been a girl… YOU NEED THIS BOOK IN YOUR LIFE.
Caroline very honestly and very beautifully tackles some really hard topics that most young girls deal with at some point or another, and she does so with a sweet wisdom that comes from going through some hard times of her own.
The book has 100 devotions. I’ve only read 3 so far (the book arrived when I was at the ranch this week), but all 3 made me teary. She writes so vulnerably and with such encouragement.
If you have a daughter, get her this book. It will bless her and you.

It is nutrient rich (yay!) and will absolutely melt into your skin. It provides deep and lasting hydration that I think you will notice after the first use. The hydration absorbs more effectively, lasts longer, and fortifies the skin barrier. It glides on smoothly, and it isn’t heavy. It’s awesome.
