Personally I prefer it with the sash, but this is a great option too! And if you’re a taller gal, wearing it this way could definitely give you some additional length you might need.

Okay, y’all. This tweed jacket pretty much stopped me in my tracks.

It’s the perfect marriage of pretty, classic, and modern. The colors are great for fall and OH MY WORD I love a tweed.

It’s got a banded collar and kind of a cropped (but not too cropped) and feminine fit. It’s lovely. I like it with the straight leg jeans below, but I think it might be even better with boot cut jeans.

For size reference, I’m wearing a medium.

This half-button sweater is super soft with a relaxed and somewhat boxy fit. And I gotta say, I love a relaxed and somewhat boxy sweater. It’s just cute and cozy, ya’ know? It also comes in heather grey, raisin (love this color), and a graphic black and white stripe. For size reference, I’m wearing a medium.

I have several more sweaters to talk about in just a sec, but I’ve got a couple of blouses for you that I know y’all are going to love.

This smocked yoke blouse is GORGEOUS. I love it with this regular denim, I’ll love it with black denim, and I’ll definitely be wearing it with my one of my favorite pair of stretchy black pants as well. Paired with black pants, you’ll have a perfect look for the office.

And get this! You also have the option to grab a matching skirt. It’s not a look that I’m sure if I could pull off or not, but I do like it!

So this is the same blouse as above, but in a different pattern and colorway. This is the “green gables blooming”, but I think of it as a beautiful blue much more than I do a green. I’m wearing a medium in this one, and it’s very roomy, so I definitely prefer the fit of the small (that you see in the picture directly above).

This boat neck sweater surprised me in all the best ways.

I’m wearing the “heather oatmeal” here, and it really is a perfect neutral. But if you don’t need a neutral, there are 8 other gorgeous colors to choose from. The scallops on the neckline are beautiful, and the detail all the way down the top of the sleeves is really lovely.

It’s very lightweight and can easily be dressed up or down. I mean, I’d wear it with jeans and sneakers, but I could also wear it with a nice pair of pants and heels. As you can see on the left, it tucks in nicely. As you can see on the right, the banded hem is very flattering and looks great worn out too. For size reference, I’m wearing a medium. I do think it runs on the large side, so I would size down if between sizes.

So I’m clearly a fan of neutrals right now. This one has a great little stripe.

I’m always saying this now, but you could of course wear this cardi over a basic tee, but y’all know I’m loving wearing cardis all buttoned up. This one is on the cropped side, and I would say it’s a medium weight. I’m wearing a medium.

I think this will be super cute with cream jeans too… and maybe brown cords.

This cable sweater is simple, classic, and a perfect basic. Online it’s called “sky gray”, a reviewer said she thought of it as more of a light green, but to be honest I would describe it as a light grey blue. WHATEVER COLOR IT IS, it’s pretty!

It’s 100% cotton, a medium weight, and has a bit of stretch. I would say it’s more fitted than boxy. If it came in cream, I would definitely be grabbing it in cream too. It’s a beautiful sweater. For size reference, I’m wearing a medium.

If you want a big and cozy sweater, this oversized sweater is where it’s at. It’s a cotton blend, but it’s so soft that it feels kind of chenille like to me. The neckline, cuffs, and hem are all ribbed. As you can see, the arms openings are oversized which adds to the cozy vibe. I’m wearing a medium, but I feel confident the small would still be oversized and slouchy, so I would suggest sizing down.

I love a layered look like this, but if I’m actually laying a tee under a sweater, it’s hard to get the proportions right and I feel like it often looks bulky and a bit messy. This sweater is already layered for us, so the proportions are perfection. Just a tiny bit peeking out on the neckline and another tiny bit peeking out of the bottom. SO FLIPPING CUTE. For size reference, I’m wearing a medium.

SOME NEW SALE ALERTS…

This short sleeve cardigan has been on the Top 12 list 2 months in a row, and now it’s ON SALE!

It comes in this tan, but it also come in a light grey.

I figured I was going to love this short sleeve cardigan, but I had no idea how much. I’m smitten. It’s kind of a heavy knit, but although it says it has wool in it, I never would have guessed that. It just feels like a chunky cotton to me. The sleeves come right above the elbow (which I love) and they have a banded hem which is flattering to the arm. The sleeves also have a subtle puff at the shoulders. You could of course wear this open over a tee, but I really like the style now of wearing a cardi all buttoned up without anything under it. This tan-ivory stripe is what works best for my closet, but it comes in a grey-heather stripe as well. For size reference, I’m wearing a medium.

Wanted to show you the cardi with my must have ecru jeans too. Y’all know I’m obsessed with these jeans. They are ON SALE and starting to sell out (some sizes are already gone), so if you’ve been thinking about grabbing them, NOW is the time. Stretchy, comfy, flattering, and a great color for year-round wear. For size reference, I’m wearing my regular size 4.

Seriously, if you don’t have them and they are still available in the size you need, grab them. You won’t regret it. Looks how different the cardi looks with regular jeans and with these! These jeans will really stretch your closet!

This cardi jacket is regularly $129, and it’s been on sale for $90 for a couple of weeks now. But it just got marked down again to ONLY $58 which is an incredible deal.

It’s a viscose fabric with a lot of stretch and give. It also comes in a beautiful camel color (on sale for $90) that would be a great neutral basic for just about anybody to have in their closet. I love it here with jeans, but it’s definitely nice enough to wear with our favorite stretchy black dress pants (true to size, but size down if between sizes). For size reference, I’m wearing a medium. It is definitely oversized though, so you might want to consider sizing down 1. Update: I ended up exchanging for a small and like the fit better.

It’s such a quality piece. Here it is in a beautiful neutral. It’s not as deep of a discount as the red one, but it it’s still on sale.

I love that the wine and plum colors are all the rage right now, and this crossover pointelle sweater is just so pretty. Sadly, this color isn’t on sale, but the light pink and espresso ARE ON SALE.

This sweater is great with a pair of denim, it would be great with a pair of nicer work pants (think black, grey, or neutral), and I think it would also be super cute with a pair of cords. For size reference, I’m wearing a medium.

As you can see, you can wear the banded hem out (like I’m doing on the left) or you can tuck it under (like I’m doing on the right).
