BULLDOG AWARD
Carter wrapped up his soccer season last week with the end-of-year banquet, and he received the Bulldog Award (voted on by his teammates). 
We are so proud of him! This team was so much fun to watch, and we were so impressed with the coaches and the whole program. We are looking forward to hopefully being a part of this organization for years to come!
And I don’t think I ever shared this picture, but how cute are these two cousins at Carter’s last game.

SHOPPING WITH SHEAFFER
I’ve got several outfits to show you today…some from Nordstrom, some from Amazon, and some from Walmart.
I love everything about this dress. I showed it in a sponsored post a couple of weeks ago, and I’ve worn it twice already since them. Is it pricey? YES. Has it been worth it for me? ALSO YES.
It has a bright and happy floral pattern, a swingy fit, billowy sleeves, gorgeous pleating, tassels, and all sorts of pretty little details. And I can’t believe I almost forgot to mention this, but it also has pockets. And my goodness I love a dress with pockets.
The background is a soft lilac color, the floral pattern is orange and green, and then there are navy details throughout. The skirt is short and flirty, and I love it.
For size reference, I’m wearing a small. (I normally wear a medium in dresses, but I took a gamble and ordered a small because I could tell it was going to be an oversized fit. I’m glad I got the small.)

THESE WEDGES ARE FABULOUS.
The platform wedge gives some serious height, but I love that I don’t have to sacrifice comfort for the added inches. They are incredibly comfortable and very easy to walk in. I also love that the strap is adjustable, but it has enough stretch in it that you don’t have to unbuckle and re-buckle them to get them on and off. Just slip them on!
True to size for me. they also come in black and ivory.

I’m not a big Free People person, but this tiered maxi dress /skirt thing caught my eye. When reading about it on the Nordstrom site, I loved the idea that you can wear it as a skirt or a dress. You can see it worn here as a strapless midi dress, but it can also be worn as a skirt with the smocking around the waist. (I took a picture of it worn as a skirt too, but I must have accidently deleted it because I can’t find it!) For size reference, I’m wearing a small.

BUT LADIES! CHECK THIS OUT! After trying on the Free People dress/skirt above, I found these on Amazon AND LOVE THEM. And they are a fraction of the price. The above Free People choice is $148, but these next two choices are ONLY $32.99.
And really, THIS SKIRT IS FABULOUS. It’s seriously fantastic. This one is the “apricot”, but it comes in 12 wonderful color and pattern options. The wide waistband is smocked and is so comfortable. The skirt is so flowy and easy to wear. For size reference, I’m wearing a small. The smocking makes it very forgiving.

This midi skirt has an elastic waist, pockets, and it oozes charm. I’m wearing the “agril” which is a blush pink, but it also comes in a “soft grey” which I think looks more like khaki than grey. For size reference, I’m wearing a small.

These casual wedges are light pink and so pretty. They are low profile, easy to walk in, and true to size.
That’s a cute sandal.
I’m completely smitten with this peasant blouse in this creamy white color. It’s pretty and romantic. I actually fell in love with it a couple of weeks ago in this soft sage green color, and I couldn’t resist grabbing it in this neutral. It’s a super soft cotton gauze, and I love the feminine detailing of the lace across the chest, the billowy sleeves, and the dainty little buttons. It’s easy, breezy, and my idea of a perfect spring and summer top. For size reference, I’m wearing a small.
These mid-rise flare jeans have mixed reviews online, but I happen to think they’re awesome. They’ve got a slight flare leg, which is totally on trend, and I love the wash and the length. I’m 5’4″ with long legs for my height (and no torso! ha!). They are a shorter ankle length on the model, but they are longer on me. I like this length on me, but I think they’d be cute shorter too! They are a mid-rise, and I think they fit like a trouser jean up top with how the waistband and pockets are placed. I rarely find myself reaching for skinny jeans anymore, and I can now confidently say that I’ve fully embraced straight leg, flare leg, and boot cut options. I sized up to a 6 in these jeans for a relaxed feel.

The second I saw these belted shorts they immediately reminded me of the vibrant colors and whimsical patterns that you get with the Farm Rio brand, and I scooped them right up.

LOOK HOW DARLING THEY ARE! If they were Farm Rio (which they totally could be), they would be around $180. BUT LADIES! These shorts are ONLY $20!

The quality of the shorts is phenomenal, I love the fabric (a linen blend), and the pattern and color combination are adorable. They look much more expensive than they are.
I’m wearing the medium, but I was really between sizes. I liked how the smalls fit throughout the hips and the thighs, but I definitely needed the mediums for a comfortable fit in the waist (even with the elastic back). The O-ring belt is adjustable and so chic paired with the paper bag waist.

This raffia knotted bag was such a great find. I thought it was smaller than this when I ordered it, but I actually love this size. It’s plenty big to hold everything I need, but it’s not too bulky or cumbersome.

I’ve been talking about these studded sandals for a couple of years now because they are awesome, and I will continue to talk about them because they continue to be awesome. Comfy, true to size, and extra cute because of the studs.
And talk about a vibe… check out the shorts styled with the matching tie front top! The sandals and bracelet are from Walmart too, but I have to shout out a warning for the sandals because they are slippery as all get out. Like I almost busted my tail on my wood floors in my house, so even though they’re cute they are going back.

Let’s talk about the tie front top. As you can see, this top is wayyyyyyyyyyyyy too small for me. I accidentally ordered a small (because I would never wear a small in a top like this), and it obviously doesn’t fit. I’m still showing it though because I think the set is too cute! I am a little concerned that the small is so tight that the medium might not be big enough, but we’ll see.

This dress has EXCELLENT reviews, and it’s ONLY $26. It comes in 3 colorways including this vibrant palm print, a solid black, and a super similar purple and orange leaf print like you just saw in the shorts above.
This dress has a beautiful double ruffle up top and can be worn on or off the shoulder. There’s a thin elastic band at the waist that helps to give some shape, and the dress has pockets.

I love a sleep shirt. I especially love an $8 sleep shirt.
The undies are covered, but I’m not wearing shorts or pants with a waistband, and I stay cool all night long. The material is so soft and silky. I’m wearing a small/medium. It’s very oversized, but it’s a sleep shirt, so I’m okay with that.

MY BEDSKIRT
Did y’all see my bedroom refresh last week? 95% of it was from Wayfair, but the sheets are from Boll and Brand and the bed skirt is from Amazon!
I got lots of questions about the bed skirt. Mine is the “neutral”, and it really is a beautiful neutral color. Putting it on your bed is super easy because there’s a double elastic band that lets you fit it on the bed without having to take the top mattress off. It’s GENIUS.
For years I’ve used these sheets on all of the beds in our home (and I still love them!), but I asked for these Boll and Branch percale sheet set for Christmas, AND I’M OBSESSED. They are cool and crisp, and they get better with each wash.

Summer is almost here, which means July 4th is pretty much right around the corner.
I know that we all like to dress festive for the 4th for all of the parties and barbecues, and I know that patriotic colors are also often worn on Memorial Day as well. Today I have lots of red, white, and blue outfit ideas for you…
This ruffle sleeve blouse is adorable. First of all, it’s a perfect red. It’s much more vibrant than in the pictures, and I love it. The fluttery sleeves are feminine and flirty, and the lace inset and tiny ruffle on the collar are just plain cute. This top also comes in navy and white! This chiffon blouse is adorable. It comes in 8 color options, but I went with this red because I wanted it to be festive and an option for patriotic holidays. This is the “wine red”, although I think it’s a very true red (and not burgundy like I would typically thing of as “wine red”). It’s flowy with a peplum hem and has a double ruffle sleeve. It will be great with white denim too. For size reference, I’m wearing a medium.

This set is soooooo soft and sooooooooooo comfy! I’m wearing a medium, but both the top and the bottom are pretty roomy, so I think a small would be fine too. This set has a long ship time, but it’s worth the wait.
If you don’t like a matching set, then wear the sweatshirt with your favorite cut-offs!

I love a great set of kitchen towels. I know I’ve shared this before, but a new set of kitchen towels can inspire me to clean the entire house. FOR REAL. I clicked “add to cart” the second I saw these. The pattern, the colors, the ruffle, the vintage look. IT’S ALL SO GOOD. And yes, I cleaned the house. 🙂

This USA tee is super soft and super cute. I’m wearing the blue, but it also comes in white, pink (which looks more like a heathered red), and army green. It’s a simple tee, it’s under $15, and I absolutely love it.

And since summer is upon us and we will all start to spend considerable more time in the sun than we have been, I thought I would review a couple of awesome products. Y’all know I love my eltaMD sunscreen products (recommended by my dermatologist) but I love these products too…
The Unseen Sunscreen IS AMAZING (you can also find it on Amazon HERE). I used it for the very first time 3 summers ago, and I became an immediate fan. It’s weightless, invisible, scent free, and gives incredible coverage and protection for your face. My skin absorbs it very quickly (like IMMEDIATELY!) and there is NO TRACE of it. It’s not oily or greasy, it gives a matte finish, and it doesn’t leave any white residue behind either. I think it goes on like a primer! It’s velvety in texture and it totally just glides on your skin, both under and even over your makeup. Also, from reading reviews it seems it’s awesome for people with super sensitive skin. I’m telling you, the product is absolutely incredible.
Another product I love is the Glow Screen. I used to only use Supergoop Glow Screen as my “foundation” when I knew I was going to be in the sun for a prolonged period of time. (You can also find it on Amazon HERE.)
HOWEVER.
I came to love the product so much that I wore it pretty much every day last summer. I love the color, the glow, and the level of coverage it gives! And please don’t let the “GLOW” in the name scare you. It’s very subtle and just really pretty! And the SPF is just a huge bonus.

SOME DENIM SHORTS
I’m sorry to say that my cute Texas tee is no longer available, but I want to talk about the shorts BECAUSE IT’S SHORTS SEASON BABY!
First up, I LOVE THESE DENIM SHORTS. I got them a couple of years ago and LOVE them, but they typically sell out. They also come in a darker wash and white on the same link.
They are fully stocked RIGHT NOW, so don’t miss out this year!
They are cute, soft, AND OH SO COMFY. They have a functional zipper and button….BUT GET THIS…..there’s elastic across the back of the waistband. Yep, they’re basically like toddler shorts. And they’re awesome. If you fully tuck in shirts, then these shorts aren’t going to be for you because the elastic waistband isn’t cute. But since I only 1/2 tuck shirts, nobody will ever see the waistband and I’ll just benefit from the comfort!
And this year they added light pink and black to the mix. SO CUTE!

These have a 5″ inseam, which I’ve found to be a really nice length as I’m getting older. Not too long, not too short, and fully covers the bootie with a couple of inches to spare! These have a frayed hem and only have a tiny bit of distressing on the side seams and the back pockets.

MY FAVORITE SUMMER ATHLEISURE PIECES
This tee is one I now own in 3 colors. It’s a great tee and it launders perfectly. It’s super comfy and soft, and it has 4 way stretch and moisture wicking technology. It’s very roomy with a relaxed fit all over and drop shoulders. It also has UPF 30+ sun protection! This marsala color is now sold out, but it comes in 3 other colors. For size reference, I’m wearing a medium.

Let’s talk about the running shorts. I LOVE THEM. They are very comfy and really flattering, and I love how lightweight they are. But I’m going to be honest, they’re never going to get to live up to their full potential because the most activity they will ever see is a brisk walk. 🙂 I wear a small in the MUST HAVE joggers, but I didn’t want these too tight or too short so I ordered a medium. I’m glad I did because I’m in love with the fit.
