It’s Friday, so y’all know what that means! It’s time to link up with Erika and Andrea to let everybody know what some of my favorite things are right now.

A COUPLE OF GREAT DRESSES
I teased this dress for y’all a couple of weeks ago in an outfit planning collage, and everybody thought it was so cute. I finally got around to trying it on, AND OH MY WORD IT IS DARLING. It’s expensive, but I’m 1000% keeping it. I typically buy a “special” piece every so often, and this is a special dress. The colors, the patterns, the puff sleeves, the rick rack on the hem, IT’S ALL DARLING. The split neck is a little lower than I’m used to, but I’m still keeping it. For size reference, I’m wearing a medium. I’m 5’4″ (with long legs and no torso), and it’s still short on me. If you’re a taller gal, this probably isn’t the dress for you.

Loving it with this circle handle straw tote from Amazon!

Here’s a detail shot…
Look at the hem! And you can see the dress has texture too! See what I mean? She’s special. 😉
Similar in shape and fit, this next dress is much more affordable. It’s $89 (vs. the $200 dress above), and it also comes in white. Cute on its own and cute with a denim jacket thrown on top as well. I love the little flutter sleeves and the pockets. For size reference, I’m wearing a medium.

DENIM SHORTS YOU NEED
Well, it’s in the 40s where I live today (it was 30 and sleeting at 6:30 this morning on the way to drop Carter off for football), but it was in the 80s earlier this week! In fact, I wore denim shorts on Tuesday! CRAZY!
It got me thinking about how denim shorts season is just around the corner, so I wanted to pull pics today of my three favorite pairs of denim shorts.
Well, I’ve got good news and bad news. We’ll start with the bad news first. The BlankNYC denim shorts that I’ve worn (AND LOVED) for years seem to no longer be available. I guess it’s possible that they just aren’t out yet for the year, but it’s also possible that they no longer make them. 🙁 We’re going to hope that’s not true, but for now I’ve got 2 pairs that I love.
First off, the new Risen pair I got last year. OBSESSED. I’m obsessed. They are very stretchy, very comfy, and I love the overall fit. If you love the Risen jeans, I promise you that you are going to love the Risen shorts just as much (if not more). They’re short, but not too short, and I think they are quite flattering.
Most people size down in these, but I wear my regular size 27.

This next pair was a surprise to me. I didn’t know I was going to love them as much as I do, but here we are.
They are short and very distressed, but I like them like that. AND THEY HAVE AN ELASTIC BACK. Yep, they’re like toddler shorts, y’all. The zipper and button up front are both functional, but the waistband is obviously stretchy due to the elastic back. With a front tuck, they just look like regular shorts.
This relaxed fit tee has been in my closet for a couple of years now, and I still reach for it all the time. It’s super soft and perfectly slouchy, but it lays great so it’s not boxy. For size reference, I’m wearing a small.

SPRING OUTFITS
Did you catch Wednesday’s post? I highlighted 3 great spring outfits that were filled with tons of great spring pieces! I’m going to show those same outfits again today, but I’m also going to show you different ways to style some of the pieces I already highlighted.
So this is one of the exact looks from Wednesday’s post.
OUTFIT #1
This chiffon blouse is pleated with a lined bodice and sheer sleeves. It’s totally classy and quite feminine. The fit is relaxed and flowy, and although cute dressed down with jeans, you could easily dress this blouse up as well. It definitely lends itself to a fancier outfit, and I will show it styled that way on Friday. After reading the reviews, I sized down to a small and I’m glad I did.
“Blanched almond” is the perfect way to describe the color of the jeans because they aren’t white, but they aren’t cream either. They are actually a perfect neutral. And they are from our favorite denim brand, Wit and Wisdom. Get excited because they have the Ab’Solution power mesh panels that we all know and love which means they are stretchy, comfy, and flattering. I love the straight leg, the overall fit, the length, and the slits at the hem. For size reference, I’m wearing my regular 4. (Most people do size down in this brand.)

Here’s another casual look with the blouse.
pleated black blouse / light wash cuffed jeans / beaded bag / raffia slide sandals / green earrings / layered necklace / lip gloss / gold bracelet stack
And here’s the same pleated blouse dressed up! Looks how great it looks with my favorite must have black pants and some classic pumps. You could wear this outfit to the office, to a date night, to an after-work event, or even to a funeral. Not many outfits could go all of those different places, but this one could.

So above I styled the blouse from Outfit #1 a different way, now I’m going to style the blanched almond jeans from Outfit #1 in several different ways.
Here they are with a white tee and denim jacket I already had in my closet. I’m wearing a medium in both. Do you prefer the neutral tote or the circle handle straw tote?

These are the bracelets from Wednesday’s post too.
I love both bracelets, and while the turquoise bracelet set is lots of fun, the pave coil bracelet is GORGEOUS in person.

I’m completely smitten with the raffia sandals. The texture! The buckle! The scalloped edge! It’s all soooo good! True to size for me. They also come in a neutral, a Robin’s egg blue, and a gorgeous orange. The names don’t do the colors justice, you need to click over to see them. There’s also a version with a small heel HERE.
Here’s another way to style the jeans…

And yet another way…

Next up, we have Outfit #2 from Wednesday’s post.
The sweater is a super soft cotton blend with a rolled neck, rolled cuffs, and a rolled hem. It’s one of those pieces that’s just easy to wear, and it will be just as easy to style in tons of different outfits. I know I’ll definitely be wearing it with both white jeans and frayed hem denim shorts. It’s a great basic piece that would serve you well. For size reference, I’m wearing a medium.
These are cuffed boyfriend jeans and are also from Wit and Wisdom. What can I say? I’m pretty dang loyal to this brand. These are a modern fit with a wider leg and a really large cuff at the bottom. A totally updated look for spring! And you guessed it, they also have the Ab’Solution technology. WooHoo! For size reference, I’m wearing a 4.

Here’s the same jeans and the same sweater, but now they are styled with more colorful accessories and some really fun silver Mary Jane’s!

Here’s the sweater from outfit #2 with the “blanched almond” jeans from Outfit #1.

And here’s the cuffed boyfriend denim from Outfit #2 styled with both a simple white tee and a simple black tee.

OUTFIT #3
I had to have an athleisure outfit in my 3 Spring Outfits post.
These wide leg pants are sporty, stretchy, elongating, and slimming! They are incredibly comfortable and a very soft material. They don’t have a lot of compression, but sometimes I just like a nice and comfy pair of pants. For size reference, I’m wearing a small.
This ribbed pullover is one of my favorite new additions to my closet. It’s similar to the Vuori pullover I loved wearing all fall winter and long, but this one is much lighter weight and a pretty spring color! It’s also quite a bit less expensive than the Vuori one (this one is $69 vs. $118). For size reference, I’m wearing a medium.
ribbed pullover / wide leg pants / sunglasses / chunky hoop earrings / similar On Cloud sneakers
Throwing a denim jacket on top was a no brainer. I’m wearing a medium in the jacket.

And here I’ve switched out the long wide leg pants with the must have joggers that I’ve been screaming and shouting about for several years now. They’re expensive, but I’ve found them to be worth it. I won’t tell you how many colors I have, but this “charcoal heather” is my favorite color. I like them even more than the classic black.

And because today’s post is about showing you different ways to style things, look how cute the pullover is with jeans and fashion sneakers. See? Even pullovers can be versatile.

MY FAVORITE NO SHOW SOCKS
My favorite no show socks are ON SALE right now, but I have no idea for how long. Grab them today! (I love them so much, I even gave them to one of my besties for part of her birthday gift.)

THE FURRY GUYS
Charlie and Buddy are two of the sweetest and most cuddly fellas you can imagine. and their cuddles are always a favorite.
If any of us sits on the couch, both dogs are up on the couch AND ON TOP OF US within mere seconds. Last Saturday I was going to plop on the couch and scroll my phone for just a minute, but these two made that impossible. Because not only are they on you, but they insist that you are rubbing their heads constantly. Good times. Haha!
But seriously, how could I say no these faces?

That’s all for today, y’all! Have a wonderful weekend with your people!
