SOME DARLING SWEATERS
FRIENDS!!!!! I’m soooooooooooo excited about this find, and I can’t believe it’s still in stock, but it is!
This pink and orange sweater is absolutely ADORABLE.
I love it for so many reasons, but first and foremost it is incredibly flattering!!! The V with the color blocking will make your waist appear smaller than it is. And do you see how the color blocking appears on the arm as well? It really slims down the arms too! It’s like a magical sweater. And the colors are happy, vibrant, and just plain fun. It’s super soft, and I know it’s going to become a fast favorite for me. For size reference, I’m wearing a medium.
Here it is with the new $25 crossbody bag that I got this week. The strap is adjustable, and looking at this pic makes me realize it will look better a little bit shorter. You know the Kelly green crossbody that I’ve been showing? This is the same bag, just in a neutral beige color. The shape and size reminds me very much of my Louis Vuitton Pochette Métis! Now, I’ll be the first to say that the “leather” isn’t going to fool anybody, but I still like the bag!
Here it is in comparison to the LV. The material/leather is obviously quite different with these two bags, but I wanted you to see the similarities in the size and design. The shape and size of the bag on the bottom is VERY similar to the LV, and the magnetic closures are similar as well. I’ll tell you what’s not similar: THE PRICE. The bag on the bottom is only $25! It also comes in green, black, and a neutral pattern with cognac trim.
Now I’ll be the first to say, the material is a little bit shinier that I would like it, but it’s still a great bag. Look at the cute buckle detail on the strap!
Back to the sweater for a second…
Maybe you remember the sweater from my outfit planning post or from the September Top 12 collage. Lots of you bought it when I first showed it, but at that point, I couldn’t vouch for softness and comfort. NOW I CAN. It’s sooooooo soft!
Here’s another way to style the sweater. I wanted to show that although it looks great worn casually with jeans and sneakers, it is possible to dress it up a bit! I love it here with cream cords and heeled booties! This could be a fun date night look, but it would also work for a casual office environment.
And to show the versatility of the cords and all of the accessories, look at this outfit where all I did was switch out the vibrant pink and orange sweater for this more muted sweater. So pretty!
And this sweater also looks great worn casually as well.
Back to happy and vibrant colors, check out this darling striped number! It’s so stinkin’ cute. And it’s realllllllly soft and quite warm, although it isn’t thick or bulky at all. For size reference, I’m wearing a medium. It looks good with a half tuck, but it looks just as great worn out!
This coat is one I’ve admired for years, and this year it comes in a handful of new colors including this wine color that I think is stunning.
I’m sad to report that although the coat is beautiful, I returned it. 🙁 The tall collar (which I absolutely love in theory) just doesn’t work on me. I have no torso and virtually no neck, and the collar covers half of my face. If you’ve got a longer neck than me, I can almost guarantee that you will love this coat. It’s a really beautiful coat, very well made, and it’s a great price point (especially when on sale). A reader tipped me off that it runs large, and she was right. This is the size 6, and although I often size up in coats to like an 8, the 6 on this one is still roomy.
If the outfit looks familiar, it’s because you first saw it in this outfit planning collage a couple of weeks ago.
Here’s the same sweater, but in a neutral stripe that is absolutely gorgeous. Again, I’m wearing a medium.
Now let’s talk athleisure! But not just any athleisure… I’m wearing a tee and leggings that I have loved for years. I own both in several colors and would totally consider them favorites. I grabbed this new color and love it. It’s the “red poinsettia”, but in real life, I think it leans like a dark coral.
The slub tee is oversized, thin, soft, and has thumbholes. And it is the perfect length to wear with leggings. For size reference, I’m wearing a medium.
The 7/8 leggings are high waisted with the perfect amount of compression. They suck me in and smooth me out, but they are still comfortable. For size reference, I’m wearing a small.
You can run around town in it if you style it with a denim jacket and cross body.
If the monochromatic look above is too much for you, just switch to a white tee. This is exactly the type of outfit that I wear all fall long.
And here are a couple of other ways to style the leggings…
I love this neutral sweatshirt.
I think this sling bag is too cute.
And if you like the look, but don’t love the vibrant leggings, you can just get a black pair!
SOCIAL THREADS FINDS
Now I’ve got some really great Social Threads finds! Remember you can use the code STMT10 to get 10% off of any and all of these items (and anything else on the Social Threads site).
This matching set is absolutely adorable. Its terry lined and features ribbed hems, raw stitching and a relaxed silhouette. The rainbow detailing is whimsical and just plain cute.
For size reference, I’m wearing a small in both the sweatshirt and the sweatpants. I would normally wear a medium in a sweatshirt like this, so I would recommend sizing down because the small is still oversized on me. I would normally wear a small in pants like this, so I would say the pants are true to size.
HOW CUTE IS THIS LITTLE SWEATER/SHIRT COMBO!
Here’s the deal…
I love a layered look, but I don’t actually love layering 2 pieces like this because it always feels bulky. Well, this piece will give you the look without the bulk!
I’m 5’4″ and it’s a little longer on my frame than it needs to be, but that is great news for you taller ladies! I like it styled casually here with jeans and sneakers, but I think it will look awesome with my Spanx faux leather leggings (I wear a petite medium in the leggings) and boots! When wearing it with leggings, I’ll appreciate the extra length. For size reference, I’m wearing a medium.
Use the code STMT10!
This long sleeve 1/4 zip pullover is classic and a little bit preppy, and I love it. The cable knit is the classic flare, the zippered collar is modern, and it all comes together for a pretty vibe. It’s not cropped by any means, but it is on the shorter size. Luckily, it’s still long enough for a half tuck. For size reference, I’m wearing a medium.
Use the code STMT10.
And how great is this mock neck poncho. The beautiful camel color is one of my favorite colors for fall, and I love the length and super relaxed shape. I’m obviously wearing it on its own here for early fall, but I will layer a long sleeve tee under it when the weather starts getting cooler! I’m wearing the small here, and it’s still very roomy and plenty long. It also comes in black. This will also be great with my faux leather leggings.
Colleen Rothschild is having a FLASH SALE on serums and oils!
My mom called last night to ask me to send her one of my links because she was close to needing a new Age Renewal Super Serum, she saw it was on sale, and the woman doesn’t go without it. Haha! When I grabbed the link to send it to her, I wanted to see if my STMT20 code would work on top of the already discounted price, AND IT DID!
Use the code STMT20 on the already discounted prices to get another 20% OFF! Click HERE to see what all was included.
AMAZON AND ETSY HOME FINDS
We were at my sister’s house this weekend for my youngest nephew’s birthday, and her house was decorated so cute! I took pics of a couple of things she got last year, and I also grabbed a pic of some new items she recently purchased.
I gave her these rattan boxes for a housewarming gift, and I’m thinking I’m going to have to get some for myself as well. They’re just a great look! Her exact pumpkins are sold out, but I’ve linked lots of similar options for you.
Look how pretty these vases are that she styled with these faux tulips on her dining room table. She has both the large and the small vase.
FESTIVE GRAPHIC TEES
I have shared in year’s past how I don’t love a costume, but I do love a graphic tee (and to look festive).
I call this look Halloween Chic.
Because the tee has a pumpkin on it (FESTIVE), but the rest of the outfit is totally normal and I’m wearing leopard mules. #halloweenchic
The pumpkin on the tee and the pumpkin colored cardi make me instantly festive! I’m wearing a medium in both. I accessorized with gold jewelry and loved the whole look. (The earrings and bracelet set are from Amazon, I’ve had both for over a year and y’all have seen them countless times.)
If you’re a Hocus Pocus fan, then this squad tee is for you! Style it with a black cardi…
Or an orange cardi!
And how cute are these ghost earrings?!? You too can be INSTANTLY FESTIVE, y’all.
These multicolor tile bracelets will add some fun to pretty much any outfit, and they are a total steal at under $18 for the set!
And I want to get your opinion on this next tee…
The color is so pretty, and the material is soooo soft, but does it look like I’m advertising that my boobs are “Farm Fresh Pumpkins”? Chris and I couldn’t stop laughing!!!
Here are some other options, BECAUSE IT’S TIME TO GET FESTIVE, Y’ALL! And I know you like options. The tees below will allow us all to be festive during Halloween week and leading up to it, without having to go full on costume. YES, PLEASE! Most of them are kid friendly, but there some that would be more appropriate for an adult only Halloween party. AREN’T THEY SO CUTE!!!
And headbands are PERFECT for when you aren’t wearing a costume, but you don’t want to be party pooper either. Just pop a headband on and call it a day.
You can find lots of headband options HERE.
Now that I’ve shown you the tees and all the accessories, I thought I would style some more outfits for you to get the idea of how I would put everything together.
See???? You don’t have to be in a costume to be in the Halloween spirit!
If it’s cool where you are, you might want to add an orange cardi as a layer. Click HERE for options!
And seriously, you’ll be comfy trick-or-treating all evening in these stretchy jeans wedge sneakers.
And if you wanna be a little bit extra, just grab a headband!
Here’s another SQUAD tee option. And as with all the shirts in today’s post, if you don’t like the color shown, just check the link. All the tees come in tons of color choices!
And again, if you want to go the extra mile, go ahead and throw on a headband.
That’s all for today, y’all! Have a wonderful weekend with your people!
