MY FAVORITE PONCHO SWEATER

I got this poncho sweater last month, AND I LOVE IT.  I showed it once and it immediately sold out, so I stopped talking about it (even though I was obsessed).  But listen, I popped into LOFT last week, and I saw it!  I immediately hopped online to see if it was back, AND IT WAS!  Grab it before it’s gone again!

It’s chic, it’s cozy, and oh my word I love it.  It’s an oversized dolman fit poncho sweater, so it’s a totally relaxed fit and is super forgiving.  I’m 5’4″ with a short torso and long legs for my height, and I love the length and the overall fit on me.  For size reference, I’m wearing a small.

J CREW and ANTHROPOLOGIE FINDS

A J Crew ad popped up on my facebook feed a couple of weeks ago, and several items spoke to me.  I blacked out, and I placed an order.  Haha!

Don’ you love this DARLING blue plaid puff sleeve top?!? I’m wearing it here with straight legged jeans and cheetah mules, but I’ll also wear it with these awesome boot cut jeans (some examples at the bottom of the post) as well as skinny ankle jeans.  For size reference, I’m wearing a medium.

And if you love the jeans, I’ve heard that they are going to be restocked again next week!  Fingers crossed, and I’ll be sure to keep you updated.

This striped turtleneck sweater caught my eye on the site, and I loved it so much I ordered it in two colors so I could decide which colorway I wanted after seeing them in person.  I’m leaning towards keeping this pink and peony.  I love the orange stripe on the neck and cuffs!  It’s a very relaxed fit and the arms are wide as well.  It does have slits on the sides.  I would describe the fit as boxy and relaxed, but not sloppy.  For size reference, I’m wearing a small.

Above I’m wearing it out (not tucked in) with straight legged jeans, but you can see below that you can also wear it with a half tuck with skinny jeans.  This obviously creates more of a waist for you if you wear it like this.

I LOVE these jagged hem slim jeans.  They are from Wit and Wisdom, which means they boast our beloved Ab-Solution technology.  They are super stretchy, they suck you in in all the right places, and they are crazy flattering.

And these have a super fun jagged hem that’s totally on trend.

I’m wearing my regular size 4, but most people size down in Wit and Wisdom jeans because of the stretch.

And how about this camel colored and totally classic cable knit sweater!  It’s lovely, and the details and texture are both so pretty.  For size reference, I’m wearing a medium.

And here are a couple of finds from Anthro.

This chunky cardigan is super expensive, but it’s also super special.  It’s definitely oversized and chunky, but I actually love that about it because you can just totally wrap up in it.  The colors and the design are absolutely gorgeous. You see you can wear it open (on the left) or you can snap it closed (on the right).

This plaid button down has excellent reviews on the site, and I have to agree.  It’s actually quite long on me, and it definitely covers my bottom at 5’4″.  The official color is “red”, but I definitely think it leans more orange.  It’s lightweight, totally breathable, and has a great fit.

I feel like most plaid shirts are either too stiff or too bulky, but not this one!  It does run large.  I’m in a small, and I am very rarely a small in a button up.

Wit and Wisdom has been sold out of their Itty Bitty Boot Cut Jeans for a good long while.  WELL, THEY HAVE TWO NEW STYLES IN STOCK and I am PUMPED!  I’ve ordered both of them, but I’m totally afraid the popular sizes are going to sell out before I even have a chance to talk about them next Friday.  I love them both, and I can’t wait to review them for y’all.

TRADER JOE’S

I ran up to Trader Joe’s on Tuesday, and I was blown away by their pumpkin selection.  These babies are only $6.99 each and they are GORGEOUS.

I’m super excited about a new item I picked up while I was there. This turkey bolognese is next level.  I’ve been craving spaghetti with meat sauce for awhile now, but I never make it because my boys don’t like it.  WELL, when I saw this in the frozen food section, I immediately threw it in my cart.  I made it the same day for lunch, tossed it in with some pasta, and OHHHHHHHHH MY GOODNESS it is incredibly delicious.  I’m going to try it with spaghetti squash next, because I know I can’t eat pasta every single day…even though I want to.

AMAZON FINDS

This leopard sweater is going to be in heavy rotation again this year, and it just got restocked this week!.  I’m very picky about my leopard patterns, and this one is greatness.  For size reference, I’m wearing a medium.

When styled with either a pair of nice black pants or a pencil skirt, this is definitely nice enough for the office.  And if you’re not a leopard girl, it comes in tons of solids!  This is a really great sweater.  For size reference, I’m wearing a medium.

Y’all know I love leopard, but if leopard isn’t your thing, it actually has several pattern options to choose from. For size reference, I’m wearing a small.

This is the same sweater as above, but in a new pattern!  I love this zebra jacquard.

First of all, this cable knit sweater is 100% cotton and is under $30!  It comes in 8 colors and is so soft and comfy right out of the box.  It’s a classic cable knit and is very well made.  For size reference, I’m wearing a small.  If you want more of a relaxed fit, size up 1.  It looks much more expensive than the price tag says.

This polka dot blouse is the quintessential office blouse.  It drapes beautifully and has a pretty neckline that’s not too deep for office wear.  I like it with jeans too, but it really is a great top for work.  And at under $25 right now, you can’t beat the price.

This long open front cardigan is just what all of you taller ladies have been looking for!  I love the open front styling and the shawl collar.  It’s very pretty and I actually love the way it looks on (even though I’m only 5’4″), but it’s not super soft.  It’s not itchy, but it’s not soft either.

For size reference, I’m wearing an x-small, so I would definitely suggest sizing down.

This fabulous red trench coat is crafted from water-repellant cotton-blend fabric and is obviously perfect for rainy days.  The red is GORGEOUS, and I’m obsessed with the classic trench styling and the oversized collar.  And it’s 30% OFF too!

PINK FUZZY SLIPPERS

I had a lot of people reach out about the slippers that were in my Athleta post on Wednesday. You can find them HERE.  I’m a 6 1/2, and the S/M works perfect for me.  I think they stay on well, and I threw them in the washing machine with great success after Buddy got ahold of one and it was crusty with slobber.  Awesome.  Anyway, they came out looking brand new!

SANTA ALERTS

I told y’all last week I was going to go ahead and start sharing 1 Santa Alert per week.  WELL, with all of the continued news coverage on shipping delays, I decided to go ahead and share several each week.  I think we all need to start shopping asap.

I put this deal on social earlier in the week.  For those of you that didn’t catch it there, this Tyler laundry detergent and candle sampler set would make such a great gift or stocking stuffer.

I haven’t shown you these earrings on yet, but you will see them on Monday’s post.  They are huggie earrings which y’all know I love, but these are CHUNKY!  All of my other huggies are pretty delicate, so I like the bold chunkiness of these.

I put this Bose bluetooth speaker on my Christmas guides every single year.  This is a great gift for anybody, but I think it’s especially great for the men in your life.  We gave one to my brother in law a couple of years ago and it was a big hit.  Chris LOVES his too.  Last year I remember this particular size sold out, so I thought it would be a good idea to post it early.  Chris uses it at the ranch all the time, he uses it by the pool, and he often takes it to neighbor’s houses for gatherings

I think I get Chris a new pair of slippers every year.  I guess he’s just hard on his slippers.  These moccasin slippers have fantastic reviews.
