JEANS BACK IN STOCK! AGAIN! HURRY!
Last time I posted these jeans, I mistakenly said they went live an hour later than they actually did, and they sold out almost immediately. THESE JEANS GO LIVE AT 8:00 a.m. CST TODAY! And I’m telling you, if last time is any indication, they will be gone by 9:00 a.m. CST. SET YOUR ALARMS, LADIES! But set them for like 7:55…and be ready!
VINTAGE WASH STRAIGHT LEG JEANS
Here’s a reminder…
Do y’all see these jeans? They are FANTASTIC and they are ONLY $59!!!
I’m wearing my regular size 27, but they strongly suggest sizing down 1 size. I read a lot of the reviews left on the site, and it does seem as if just about everybody needed to size down. My stomach is my problem area, so maybe that’s why I stuck with my regular size. I suggest taking the advice to size down.
They are described as mid rise on the site, but since I have a non-existent torso, they fit like high rise jeans on me. They are very stretchy, but they don’t sag…. and they are super comfortable. They are straight leg with some distressing, AND I LOVE THEM.
They are very on trend and super affordable, which is a great little combo.
You can see below that they look great with heels, but I’ll most often be wearing them with sneakers, mules, flats, and booties.
SWEATERS, JEANS, and MULES
If you read my blog regularly, I shared this picture last Friday. I’d unpacked a HUGE Amazon order last Wednesday, and even though I hadn’t had the time yet to try everything on, I knew I loved the pieces and wanted to share them…even if they were just in a flat lay.
Well, I styled everything in outfits, and I’m showing you today!
This green sweater is TO DIE FOR. It’s sooooooooo soft and I love the relaxed, but not sloppy fit. This sweater has fantastic reviews, and I totally agree. There are actually TONS of colors in this sweater, but you are going to have to click around to find the size you need (and just hope it isn’t sold out yet)! As I predicted, these babies are flying off the shelf.
For size reference, I’m wearing a small. I would say it runs a bit oversized, which is why the small works for me (often times in sweaters like this I would require a medium for room in the chest). I predict this will be one that you will buy in additional colors after you receive your first one.
There are a lot of options on this one necklace link, but the one I’m wearing (although you only see 2 necklaces here) is actually the 3 Layer-Snake Chain&Link Chain&Coin. The necklaces are all separate, so you can wear just 1, you can combine different pairs together, or you can wear all 3.
These are the same jeans I spoke about above from Social Threads (in the pic with the black sweater and heels)! Again, they go live at 8:00 a.m. CST today, and I just hope they last longer than they did a couple of weeks ago. I thoroughly reviewed them above, and remember that the overwhelming suggestion is to size down 1 size.
Y’all know I’m so excited about my new sling bag from Anthro, but I also was curious to try this backpack purse from Amazon. I’m going to Round Top in a couple of weeks (a huge antique fair in Houston), and I’m going to be so happy to be hands free with my bags. This backpack is obviously bigger than the swing bag, so if you need your bag to hold more, this one might be for you!
If you don’t like the black, it also comes in bone, cognac, and pomegranate.
This cuff bracelet is an Amazon find from a couple years back, and it’s still going strong in my closet. (FYI: The lighting is messing with the color of the sweater in this picture. The picture on the site represents the true color. It’s not nearly as lime as it appears below.)
Here you can get a bit better look at the jewelry. The prices are incredible.
And here’s a detail shot of the earrings. They are so lightweight, and I love the chain design.
You saw this hoodie in the cream in the flat lay above as well as a couple of weeks ago in the rust color, officially called “caramel”. I loved it, so I wanted to add this creamy beige to my closet too.
This hooded pullover is fabulous and looks much more expensive than it is. It comes in 6 colors, all great for fall. For size reference, I’m wearing a small. Size up for a more generous fit.
Oh…one more thing…I absolutely love the matching joggers you see with several of the hoodies, but I can’t find them online! If you have more luck than me, drop the link in my comments please!
I’ve got another great pair of jeans for y’all! Pay attention!
These jagged hem slim jeans are from Wit and Wisdom, which means they boast our beloved Ab-Solution technology. They are super stretchy, the suck you in in all the right places, and they are crazy flattering.
And these have a super fun jagged hem that’s totally on trend.
I’m wearing my regular size 4, but most people size down in Wit and Wisdom jeans because of the stretch.
See how fun the hem is?!?
And how cute are these cheetah mules! They are my newest Amazon purchase, and I’m totally in love. They are classic and simple with a great pointy toe. They are comfy too! I ordered up 1/2 a size and they are fine, but I initially wished I would have stuck with my regular size. However, after looking at them in this picture, I’m not sure if I could have gone any smaller? I’ve already worn them several times and I’ve actually received a handful of compliments already! People die when I tell them they are from Amazon.
And the last sweater from the flat lay, this totally classic fair isle sweater. It’s soft, thick, very warm, and comes in several different design and color options. It’s very well made and looks much more expensive than it is. In addition to this pattern, I really love the olive/blue/cream nordic stripe. For size reference, I’m wearing a medium.
SANTA ALERT! Okay, so here’s what’s happening. I’ve seen all of the reports that shipping around the holidays is going to be an absolute nightmare, so I’m going to start sharing SANTA ALERTS today!
We’re kicking things off with this adorable pair of bootie slippers. Aren’t they so much fun? I love how bright and colorful they are, and they have great reviews! And they are obviously super warm and comfy. I wear a 6 1/2, and I got the medium.
I think these would make a super festive Christmas present.

KENDRA SCOTT SALE
Kendra Scott is having a HUGE SALE! This discounts are SUPER DEEP. Jewelry that is ON SALE is an additional 40-50% OFF!!!!! The deals are AMAZING.
Like these paracord hoop earrings are ONLY $34.98 right now! They come in 3 colorways and they are all awesome.
Recently I’ve had a lot of readers asking me for statement pieces, so I went on a hunt. And where do I always go for statement pieces? ANTHROPOLOGIE! Their prices are often quite a bit higher in price per item than I normally feature, but the pieces are special, and I’m sometimes willing to pay a premium for special.
Check out this colorful cardigan. It’s definitely pricey, but it’s FABULOUS. The cardi is so warm, so cozy, and incredibly beautiful. The colors are vibrant and gorgeous, and I like the relaxed fit and think the big oversized collar is fun. For size reference, I’m wearing the xs/s. I actually ended up not keeping this one for myself, but I did keep this one. You’ll see it on the post where I launch my holiday bracelet collection!
This lace top is a deep and moody purple. I don’t normally love purple, but this purple is different and I do love it.
I think it’s going to look great with all denim (blue, grey, black), but it’s definitely nice enough for the office. It’s beautifully made and has such pretty details. In addition to the gorgeous lace on both the bodice and sleeves, there are covered buttons on the shoulder, pretty pleats near the neck (see online pic), and a nice wide cuff at the wrists. For size reference, I’m wearing a medium.
I initially showed this top to you a couple of weeks ago with grey jeans, but today I’ve styled it 2 additional ways.
This abstract knit pullover is cute, but it definitely runs small. I’m wearing a medium, and I think I could actually use the large.
And here it is dressed up just a bit with black straight legged jeans and chunky heeled booties. The top is actually nice enough to wear with slacks or a pencil skirt at the office as well.
I love a great utility blouse, and this is a great utility blouse. However, like the blouse above, I think it runs quite small. I’m wearing the medium here. I’m doing a 1/2 tuck, and it’s fine for me, but if you have a long torso I think it will definitely be too short. I think the pink and brown combo is so unique and pretty for fall.
There’s a BIG SALE going on over at tarte today! We’re talking $10 mascara, lips, and more with the code BDAY! TEN DOLLARS. INCREDIBLE. And there’s a free bag with a $55 purchase! I’ve got to get Carter ready to get out the door right now, but I’ll add favorites a bit later. I LOVE the juicy lips seen below. Click HERE to check it all out!
LUNCH WITH FRIENDS
I got to meet my sweet friends Jamie and Jenn for lunch a couple of weeks ago, and it was good for my soul.
There’s a cute story behind our friendships. Jenn (in the hat) used to be a speech therapist in Frisco, and remember I used to be a speech therapist in McKinney when I started the blog. Jenn was a blog reader, and she reached out and asked if I would come talk to her little lunch group at school one day. I was still working part time and running the blog, and I told her I just didn’t have the time, but to maybe reach out the next year because I knew I would no longer be working as an SLP.
WELL. She reached out the next year!
She asked her sister (who lives in Dallas) to come too, she did, and the rest is history! We all instantly connected and became real life friends. They are the sweetest, they are so much fun, and I’m just incredibly lucky to have them in my life. Love you, girls!
When we meet, we almost always meet in downtown McKinney, and we ALWAYS get pie.
We headed to the ranch with some friends last weekend, and we all had a blast. These boys lived their best lives.
We had a busy week with all sorts of activities for just 1 kid. I have no idea how all of you with multiple kids do it!
On Monday night, the Eagles came from behind with a score of 2-0 at half…and we won 4-3! These boys battled it out and we were so proud of them!
On Tuesday night we had football, and we came away with a big win!
On Wednesday night, Carter had his first choir concert.
And on Thursday night, he had Huddle group (the weekly bible study he does with friends from school). We are so thankful for the Harris family and the way they pour into this group of boys! (It was too dark to grab a pic when I picked him up.)
FRIDAY AFTERNOON ADDITION
I knew I needed to add this sale to the post as soon as I saw it!
Click HERE for the Sam Edelman shoes that are on SUPER SALE for the next 2 days! The sale even includes these fashion sneakers (with incredible reviews) and the Penny boot (a classic cognac riding boot that has been wildly popular for several years now).
That’s it for today, y’all! Have a wonderful weekend with your family!
