NAIL POLISH COLORS
But after the post went live, I realized I had forgotten to include my nail polish colors. Since March I’ve been doing my own nails and toes at home. I MUCH PREFER getting them done, but I’m still not ready to venture out to a nail salon, so Sally Hansen has been my polish of choice. These Insta Dri polishes have a wide flat brush, which makes them easier to apply than most nail polishes. I’ve stuck with these two colors: Flashy Fuschia on the left (an electric hot pink) and Let’s Jam on the right (a vibrant red). I know Let’s Jam looks pink in the bottle, but it’s definitely red once it goes on.
I have absolutely loved being a Kendra Scott ambassador this year. I’ve been such a fan of her jewelry for so many years, but she really seems to be kicking things up a notch right now! The new designs are SO MUCH FUN (click HERE to see all of the new releases this week)!
Like this star necklace. I wore it on the 4th, but I haven’t taken it off since. You’ll be seeing it in many of my outfit pictures in today’s post. It’s delicate, feminine, and just plain adorable.
These huggie earrings aren’t Kendra Scott, but they are one of my favorite Amazon finds EVER. I bought them in October last year, I squealed when I first opened them with sheer delight, and I love them even more now than I did then. They are only $14.95, and they are SO sparkly and SO beautiful. Two different friends of mine even thought they were real!
I’m sure y’all have noticed, but retailers aren’t adding new inventory all that often right now. And it seems that as soon as something new hits the site, it sells out very quickly.
Well, I managed to grab a couple of things earlier this week that are STILL IN STOCK! WooHoo!
Please read my thoughts about this item though, because it’s not what it seems when you see it on the site. When I ordered it, I thought it was a short asymmetrical peplum top that would look great with both my favorite summer boot cut jeans and my denim shorts. The picture on the site is just the piece on a hanger, and I truly thought it was a top.
Well, when it arrived at my house, I obviously realized that it wasn’t a peplum top. In fact, I’m not really sure what it is. The site acts like it’s a tunic top, but the tag in it says “Free People Beach”, so I think it’s actually a cover up! And as a cover up, I think it’s DARLING. I think I’d be scared to wear it as a straight up dress (just scared you could see thru it), but the darker colors might be good for a dress. It’s short for a dress (on my 5’4″ frame), but I really do love it as a cover up and it would go perfectly from the beach to strolling around town, to lunch, or to dinner on vacation.
For size reference, I’m wearing a small and it’s still very roomy.
And I’m going to tell you again, you need the strappy sandals. You’re going to see them a lot in today’s post. They are comfy, true to size, have a padded foot bed, and they are totally affordable.
This raw edge tee is perfectly oversized and perfectly slouchy, but I would definitely recommend sizing down. The small is still quite slouchy on me (and it’s supposed to be), but I’ve ordered an x-small to compare.
UPDATE: GREAT NEWS! A reader just found this tee ON SALE at Madewell!
The striped cross body bag is adorable. It’s small, but big enough for my phone, some makeup essentials, and a card case with my license and credit cards. You’ll be seeing it with a lot of outfits later in today’s post.
The studded sandals are the ones I’ve been obsessed with since getting them two weeks ago, and the obsession is still going strong. They are comfy, true to size, and the perfect amount of edgy.
AND LADIES! Check out this face mask.
I ordered these 2 earlier this week (there are 6 patterns to choose from), and I’ve since ordered the other 4 patterns.
These masks have nose-to-chin coverage and are machine washable for reusable convenience. After wearing several different masks for the last almost 4 months now, I know I really need my masks to have a metal nose piece that helps to keep the mask in place, and these have the metal nose piece! (I’m told the nose piece also helps glasses not to fog up, for those of you that wear glasses.) This one stays put and I never have to readjust it.
If you are looking for masks for kids, I’ve heard great things about the Old Navy masks for kids. Carter has only had to wear a mask 2 times since it all started……the 2 times we had to stop for him to use the bathroom when we were heading home from the ranch. The one he wore is now sold out, but he didn’t like it anyway. I ordered a pack for him yesterday now that masks are going to be his new normal for a bit. I hope he likes these better, but we are going to start practicing with them to help him get used to them. I think I’m going to start having him wear them for a couple of 30 minute intervals during his day at home.
I did the flat lay of the above outfit on Wednesday afternoon, and then I actually wore the outfit yesterday. I mean, all I did was go grab dinner to go, but I still got dressed even though I wasn’t even getting out of the car. Truth be told, at 5:30 I took off my sleep shirt and put this outfit on because it was still on the kitchen table (where I take most of my flat lays). And then when I got home, I grabbed a quick shower after dinner and quickly put the sleep shirt back on. #thisis2020
AND REMEMBER! This tee ON SALE at Madewell!
I’ve got a handful of really great Amazon finds to share today!
Starting with this ruffle sleeve dress. It’s under $30, 100% cotton, and has a darling little flutter sleeve. It’s lightweight with a little bit of stretch and just so darn cute! I’m wearing it here with the strappy sandals (that I think EVERYBODY needs), but it would also be cute dressed up with wedges and even cuter dressed down with Converse. For size reference, I’m wearing a small.
I first showed this turquoise wrap bracelet a month or two ago, and it sold out immediately. BUT IT’S BACK and it’s SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO GOOD! I love all the colors, and the big turquoise stone in the middle makes such a statement.
I’m in absolutely love with this next dress.
This t shirt dress is simple, classic, a totally relaxed look, and a great staple to have in your closet! It’s super comfy, and I love the fit. It would also look super cute with sneakers and a ball cap.
For size reference, I’m wearing a small. For a more relaxed fit, size up. It comes in 7 colors, including black.
Here’s the bracelet again. Y’all, it’s great! I love all the colors and textures.
Here’s the same dress again, but in a blue and white stripe.
There are 13 smalls available right now (the small is currently sold out in the blue), so hurry if you want to grab it! Looks like it’s better stocked in other sizes. The yellow and white stripe also appears to have some available in most sizes.
Who loves a romper? I do!
This one is adorable. It’s a linen/cotton blend and comes in several color choices. Sadly, this one didn’t fit me right. As often happens with things that button up, this romper pulls a bit across my chest. But if I were to size up, I think it would be too large on the bottom half. For size reference, I’m wearing the 6. If you don’t often have an issue with buttons pulling, you should be fine. I think it will be true to size for most.
And you know me, I had to throw a denim jacket on top.
If you don’t have the strappy sandals yet, I beg you to get them. True to size, comfy, cute, and all around amazing. (I promise I’ll stop talking about them. For now.)
Do y’all remember the chevron sweater I first showed a couple of months ago? It sold out, but now it’s back! It’s a lightweight sweater, I love the classic blue and white chevron pattern, and it’s very well made. It looks great with white jeans. I’m wearing a small, but I would suggest sizing up if between sizes.
I linked to these grocery bags last month, but I wanted to show them in action.
They come in a set of 3, but I’m just showing 2 here. They have an awesome hard bottom, but they fold up very easily, and then hold A TON. Last time on the way to the ranch they were full of canned goods for several different dips I was going to be making. They are very sturdy and I highly recommend them.
THE MOST ADORABLE TOP
I’m dying over this top. The square neck! The flutter sleeve! The rainbow colored embroidery! LOVE.
Carter and Buddy are snuggle buddies.
And so are Buddy and Charlie.
Conner’s family came over last week. I hadn’t seen this baby in WAY TOO LONG. Bennett is now 9 months old and he is squishier than you can even imagine. His rolls have rolls, and I love it.
MORE TARGET FINDS
I’m dying over this swimsuit. I ordered it two weeks ago for July 4th weekend at the ranch, and I was so excited when I got it in. I was equally excited when I put it on, because it’s SO DANG CUTE and incredibly flattering! I love the color combo, the floral pattern, and the cute little tie!!!
I also ordered this strapless pique one piece that finally arrived last night, and it is DARLING too.
I first showed you this Be Kind tee in June’s Amazon Haul with regular denim shorts, but I thought it looked great with these blush shorts too. They have a higher rise than I am used to, but they hold you in very comfortably. Size up 1, I’m wearing a 6. They are under $20!
And I think that this eyelet top is very sweet. You can wear it on the shoulder (see the picture on the left) or off the shoulder (see pic on right). For size reference, I’m wearing a small. The jeans and sandals are sold out.
COLLEEN ROTHSCHILD SALE

A couple of items are back in stock that have been gone for awhile, so check it out!
And if you haven’t tried the hair products yet, I HIGHLY recommend them. The Quench and Shine Restorative Mask conditions my hair beautifully and leaves it sooooo soft, while taming fly aways and frizz. I use this product every 3-4 washes. I put the Smooth and Shine Hair Serum on right after I dry my hair at night, AND MY WORD it makes it so smooth and shiny! It’s incredible. The microfiber hair towel works like a freaking charm. After brushing my hair and ringing it out a couple of times, I wrap my hair up in this for at least 10 minutes (longer if time allows). It pulls the moisture out of my hair and really cuts down drying time with the dryer. (I’ve tried the shampoo and it was good, but I really love the products just mentioned.) My mom and sister use them too and swear by them. My mom credits these products for restoring her hair to a healthy and shiny state.
Timehop, you get me every single time. A bunch of 2 and 3 year old babies at the kiddie pool. Some of my favorite memories as a new mama happened around this pool. We spent so much time here with all of our friends several summers in a row!
That’s it for today, y’all! I hope you have a wonderful weekend with your families, and I’ll see you back here on Monday.
