This year I’ve been seeing floral patterns everywhere I looked, and yet I didn’t really have anything in my closet that was going to let me participate in the trend!
Florals are so pretty, fresh, and fun…
and I like how you can dress them up with heels, or down with some slip on sneakers or flats.
As you can see, Pinterest is ON BOARD with florals.
And because of the fact that I wear jeans like 90% of my life, I pinned all inspiration pics with floral tops paired with jeans.

For me, one of the easiest ways to add floral to my closet would be with a great floral top.
So I set out to find one.
There are quite a few options out there (more on those in a minute), but I settled on THIS one.
I liked that it was a light blue background with pretty pink, green, cream, and soft yellow accents.
I also liked the casual nature of it.
Click HERE for the top I got.
For size reference, I got a small.
OH WAIT! One of my friends (thanks Kathryn!) found it HERE at Zappos after it sold out at Nordstrom!
Thank you Kathryn!
The 1 review it has is not good, but only because the person that left the review didn’t like the band at the bottom.
The band doesn’t bother me. In fact, I happen to like it!
I paired the floral top with my Sanibel pendant, my fav cuffed jeans, and my new wedges!

wedges HERE (My new GO TO wedges for this spring and summer!)

I paired the top with my new Vigoss skinny jeans (exact pair already sold out) and my favorite nude patent flats!

I broke out my favorite pink quartz necklace, some tall cognac wedges, and some white jeans FROM TARGET that I’m absolutely loving!

And check out THESE that a reader asked me about on Saturday.
I’ve never seen them in person, but they look awesome!
The Lucky ones I have in the above picture are VERY high. I might end up returning them (I’ve only worn them in the house for outfit pictures so far) to get these that have a lower heel. I love the look of the above ones, but the appeal of a lower heel might win out.
And as you can see here, you can wear the top where the fitted grey band shows at the bottom, or for a bit of a dressier look, you can tuck it under!
Notice how when I’m wearing it with the jeans I’ve tucked it under for more of a “blouse” look than a sweatshirt look.
I’ve got some more GORGEOUS options for floral tops for you! One of these would be so fun to add to your closet for spring and summer! Just click on what you are interested in!
And some more here….
Now that we’ve covered the tops, on to the jewelry I was wearing….
I meant to get a close up of my white ceramic watch that I want to marry.
Mine is Michael Kors and no longer available, but THIS one from Fossil looks almost identical!
And it’s quite a bit less expensive, although I did get mine on SUPER sale.
I love wearing my white ceramic watch all spring and summer!
This Fossil version (again, almost identical) has 8/9 5 STAR Reviews!
And y’all. You probably didn’t even notice my earrings in the above pictures, but we need to talk about them.So let’s go in for a close up.
They are studs (smaller than the other ones I’ve been talking about recently), and I love them too!
Those of you that thought the others were too big, these would be a great option for you!
They are more round than the others (I think of the other ones are more square with rounded corners).
I’m wearing the cz on the left and the light green on the right.
Here are the bigger chunkier studs I’ve been talking about for awhile now.
And I’m just tickled that all of you girls seem to love them just as much as I do. Lots of great facebook comments, blog comments, and e-mails about these earrings.
Click HERE for the larger studs.
I’m telling you, best $8 you’ll ever spend!
But remember, if you think these are too big for your taste, choose the new studs I highlighted above!
Before we leave…..we need to talk about some Zella items
And I want to bring it to y’alls attention that nobody told me that once I started buying Zella gear that I’d become crazy obsessed with it…and I’d be checking the site pretty much daily for new colors and patterns. WHY DIDN’T ANYBODY TELL ME?
I forgive you.
I actually like checking the site for new colors and patterns.
Some obsessions are fun. 😉
If you follow me on facebook, you saw thislast night….
For size reference, I wear a small.
Well, during my daily Zella check yesterday, I found several new pairs that I’m cuckoo over.
THESE aren’t on sale, but I’m pretty much dying over them.
How cute is the pattern?
Last night on facebook I asked if anybody could tell me what the difference is between the Zella “Live In” Leggings and these that are considered “running tights”?
Here’s an answer I got:
Heather Hopkins Burns I teach fitness as my hobby so I’m super picky about my work out wear as I cannot be worried about wardrobe malfunctions on top of teaching. I am a big LuluLemon and Athleta fan and we get a discount so that’s a plus. Some of my friends wear Zella and when I started following you I tried my first pair of live in leggings. I ordered my second pair last week and I am thinking of buying the sale ones above. They remind me a lot of Athleta chat tights and after reading I think the live in leggings although are supportive aren’t necessarily compression and it looks like the running ones are more that way with the mesh and reflecting material for wicking and safety. In general a running garment almost always is tighter and more supportive. Thanks for your posts:).
Thanks for the info Heather!!!!
And THESE capri pants look darling.
They come in a ton of different colorways, but my favorites are the grey slate multi and the mint vivid blur print and (both marked with a heart)! Notice that the far right pair has teeny tiny little polka dots!
And there are also new colors of the 1/2 zip layer tops HERE.
All right girls!
That’s it for today!
See you back here on Wednesday (or maybe Thursday this week) for the Bachelor Finale recap!
It’s Spring Break for us this week and we have several activities planned, so it might take me a little longer to finish up the recap!
Also…I’m already saving more floral items (think dresses, swimsuits, scarves, etc…), so we can continue our floral conversation later this week.
