GIFT #1:  A BLARDIGAN

We’ve given blardigans away every single year for 5 Days of Fabulous, and we weren’t about to stop this year.

Or ever.

THEY ARE THE VERY BEST GIVE TO GIVE, so we are going to continue to give them from now until the end of time.

This particular blardigan (officially called the CozyChic Lite Long Cardgian) is like the hooded blardigan from last year, but without the hood.  When this olive color popped up on the scene earlier this year, I scooped it up immediately.  This one comes in 6 colors.

It’s definitely one of the longer blardigans, so you taller ladies need to pay attention!  It has a consistent hem length all the way around, and it’s definitely long enough to be worn with leggings outside of the house.  At 5’4″, it comes very close to grazing the tops of my tall boots, so I usually wear it with booties for a better proportioned look.  I hear lots of ladies say this is their favorite because of the fact that it can be worn with leggings so easily. The fit is also on the slimmer side.  There’s not a lot of extra fabric, so I would say it’s the most streamlined of the blardigans.

The light is messing with the color here, but it’s a beautiful medium toned olive, and it’s definitely a bit darker than it appears in this picture.

One of the most frequently asked questions I receive is “Do you wear your blardigans outside of the house?”

The answer is HECK YES!

And while my favorite way to wear them is cuddled up inside on the couch (I’ve even been known to head to bed with them on especially cold nights), I wear them outside of the house often!

I know the pictures on the website have all of them styled with lounge wear, but get that out of your head and just style them like you would a regular cardigan.  The arms are fitted which makes them street ready.

You can of course always throw on a blardigan with leggings, joggers, or even a night shirt or pajama pants.

But as you can see above, you can dress it up too!

I wear blardigans all the time casually with jeans and sneakers, but all you need is a pair of boots and a bag to really dress it up.  When you style a blardigan like a regular cardigan, it looks just like a regular cardigan!

Simply put, a blardigan truly does function like a regular cardigan, it just happens to feel like a cozy little piece of heaven.  So while I think it was first thought that these pieces were just lounge wear, many of us have learned that you can most definitely wear them out of the house.

If you are the lucky winner (or her friend!), you can pick any Barefoot Dreams cardigan that is $130 or under.  There are so many different styles to choose from and lots of different colors for each style.

One of my favorite blardigans I own is a neutral baby blardigan.  I ran across a couple of pictures from years ago when Shay and I met for coffee, and I was wearing the baby blardigan out and about.

The baby blardigan is quite a bit shorter that the other blardigans, has a rounded hem, and it has pockets!  It doesn’t envelope you like the original blardigan does, but it’s still super cozy and you can definitely still wrap yourself up in it.  If you are on the petite side, I recommend this blardigan.  Especially if you are going to wear it out of the house. The sleeves are still fitted with this one, and I wear this one out of the house all the time.  If I had to pick only one blardigan (BUT PLEASE!  DON’T MAKE ME CHOOSE!), I think it would be this one.

GIFT #2:  A FRINGE THROW BLANKET

These fringe throw blankets are soooooooo soft, they launder perfectly, and they make fabulous gifts for everybody on your list. Need one more gift for somebody? GET THEM THE BLANKET. Need just one special gift for somebody? GET THEM THE BLANKET. Your kid. Your mom.  Your dad.  Your son in law.  Your grandma.  Your sister.  your brother.  GET THEM ALL THE BLANKET.

This is a picture I took of Carter a couple of weeks ago.  I’m telling you, THE BLANKET IS FANTASTIC.

If you’re buying it for your own home, don’t just buy 1.  Because people will fight over it.  And not just the little people.  So will your and your husband.  This blanket is that good.

GIFT #3:  SOREL WEDGE BOOTIES

I’m going to go ahead and name these Sorel booties as one of my Top 5 favorite purchases from the entire year.

ALL. YEAR. LONG.

That’s something.

Shay and I both wore them in Boston, and it was there that we both decided that they needed to be part of a 5 Days of Fabulous giveaway.

These booties are fully waterproof, have an elastic insert on the inside and asymmetrical zip closure on the outside.  They are easy to get off and on, and they have a removable padded insole.  I love the wedge heel and the chunky textured sole.  They give me some height, elongate my legs, and are still incredibly comfortable.  True to size for me, but after reading reviews online, it seems like if you are between sizes that you should go up a 1/2 size.

In addition to the functionality, let’s talk about the fashion.  Because they function great…BUT THEY LOOK GREAT TOO!

They somehow manage to be sporty, yet chic.

I ADORE THEM.

And OH MY WORD, I’ve also received hundreds of messages about these booties since I first introduced them at the very end of October.  Everybody is so incredibly impressed with their comfort level and how they are so good at keeping our feet warm and dry.

    1. I was at a holiday event last night at my local Nordy’s and saw that Kurt Geiger bag in person. It literally stopped me in my tracks; even more stunning in person!!
