This post is sponsored by Nordstrom and ShopStyle. The product selections are my own, and I only highlight and promote pieces that I truly love. Thank you for supporting the brands that support Sheaffer Told Me To! (There’s a giveaway today too, but only the content of the post is sponsored by Nordstrom, not the giveaway.)

You can choose the sneakers on the collage, or you can choose any other Golden Goose that are available at Nordstrom with a max of a $530 value.
ARE YOU DYING?
BECAUSE I’M DYING.
I used to think Golden Goose sneakers weren’t for me.
I’ve got to be honest.
I’m totally into them now.
I’ve always admired them on others, but I never thought I would be able to justify their price tag. Well, although I still don’t have them, I have to say that I’m getting closer and closer to justifying a pair for myself.
MORE AFFORDABLE FASHION SNEAKERS
So, since I was loving the fashion sneaker trend but not wanting to spend the money, I decided to dip my toe in with some more affordable choices and I grabbed these sneakers.
I think they are an awesome option for those that want to try out the trend without spending the big bucks, and I’m really loving them! I’m styling them several ways today so you can see how versatile they are!
First up, I paired them with a colorful cardi and denim.
The striped cardi is DARLING. It’s beautifully made, a nice heavy knit with a bit of stretch, and the colors are awesome. In addition to the bold stripes, I also love the ribbed detailing. For size reference, I’m wearing a small.
BUT SERIOUSLY. How cute are these sneaks? Let’s be honest, they are very Golden Goose-esque, don’t ya think?
AND in addition to being darling, they are also insanely comfortable. The foot bed is very padded and even seems to have a bit of a lift. I don’t wear them with socks, but I tried on my favorite no show socks with them, and they worked.
The foot bed is so soft it’s almost squishy, and I love it.
For size reference, I’m typically a 6 1/2, but sometimes a 6. I got a 6 in these because I felt like after several wears that my first pair of DV sneakers stretched out a bit (you’ll see them at the end of today’s post). Most people are reporting they are true to size.
This outfit would obviously work with booties or flats, but I really love the casual vibe the sneakers give it.
There’s nothing really special about this outfit, except for the sneakers!
Don’t get me wrong, I love the basic crewneck sweater, and you know I am always reaching for these black Wit and Wisdom jeans.
But it’s the sneakers that give the outfit some pizzazz!
This is the tote that you’ve seen on the blog time and time again, and you know I love to always switch up the styling with a new bandana! This black floral one did not disappoint.
I’ve got another basic jeans and sweater outfit for you, just sassed up a bit again with the sneakers.
The oversize v neck sweater is what my sweater dreams are made of. It’s lightweight, has a relaxed fit (without being sloppy), and the v-neck and overall cut are very flattering.
It comes in 8 total colors, and it just went ON SALE!
For size reference, I’m wearing a small.
These sunglasses are my ride or die shades and have been for a couple of years now. I love them, and I love the price too. I actually think they would make a great gift!
I can’t stop tying bandanas on my bags. It’s such an easy and inexpensive way to add some color and a whole lot of style to an otherwise basic bag.
I mean, it’s just jeans and a sweater, but the bandana and the sneakers totally pull the outfit together.
I couldn’t style these leopard sneakers several ways and not pair them with hot pink.
The outfit is super fun, super casual, super easy, and super cute.
This hot pink sweater is low in stock, but you can click HERE for lots of hot pink options.
Here’s a look at the sneakers one last time. There’s just no denying that they’re cute.
And to give you another affordable sneaker option, I want to remind you of this pair of funky sneakers I got back in early Fall. I wanted to really highlight the sneakers here, so I went with an all black outfit.
The sweater is very lightweight with a relaxed fit. It’s super soft, has horizontal ribbing which gives it great texture, and can be dressed up or down. The v-neck is pretty deep, so it would actually look great with a cami or bralette under it as well. For size reference, I’m wearing a small.
These jeans are so stretchy and comfortable that they actually don’t even feel like denim. They feel more like a jegging, but they definitely look like a regular pair of jeans. I’m wearing my regular size 4 here, and I turned up just the tiny little hem to make them just a bit shorter.
To be honest, the reviews are mixed on these. Some complain of a really strong chemical odor, but I don’t notice a smell at all (and there are others who agree with me). I don’t wash these after every wear, so they’ve maintained good color. But as with all black jeans, over time they will most likely fade.
NOW LET’S TALK ABOUT THESE SNEAKERS.
They have all the bells and whistles that the designer sneaks do at a much more affordable price point. They are also insanely cushy and comfortable. I’m a big ol’ fan. I’m wearing my regular size, but if between sizes, I would now suggest sizing down a 1/2. Now that I’ve had them for a couple of months, they’ve stretched out a bit.
One more outfit today for y’all!
This outfit isn’t as edgy as the all black outfit, but the sneakers still kick the fun factor up several notches!
I love darker denim in Fall and Winter, and the raw hem on these jeans gives them a really casual vibe, which makes them perfect for sneakers! They’ll also look great with flats, mules, and booties.
And yes, they’ve got the Ab-Solution technology that we are all obsessed with. The power mesh panels slim and hold, they suck you in, but the jeans still manage to be super comfortable. Here’s the deal, I only wear jeans with stretch in them now. Life’s too short to wear non-stretchy jeans. For size reference, I’m wearing my regular size 4 (not petite).
I love them.
Click HERE for other options from the same brand, all much more affordable than the designer inspiration.
This exact same outfit would look great with flats or booties too, but I really do love the overall look with these sneakers.
So, what do you think? Are you fully committed to the sneakers trend? BECAUSE I AM. One thousand percent.
If so, are you a designer girl, or are you looking for more budget friendly options?
