Fall Tops and Jackets with Macy’s

I’m working with Macy’s and ShopStyle today, and I’ve got 4 great Fall outfits to share with you.  I’m wearing the same jeans, the same boots, and the same jewelry with all 4 outfits (earrings,  necklace, and bracelet  )….I’m just switching up the tops and jackets for totally different looks.

OUTFIT #1:  Basic Thermal and Military Jacket

Out of all 4 outfits today, this one is the most “me”.

I love this top both with and without the jacket layered on top.

The thermal is slouchy perfection.  And it comes in plus size too!   It also comes in grey, black, white, and a color that looks like a heathered cranberry (although they call it mauve).  I wouldn’t mind adding another color to my closet!

The necklace is a great basic that can be worn with so many different looks.  I loved it even with this super casual thermal, but it would look just as great with an office appropriate outfit or even a little black dress (I’m totally  intrigued with this one that is reversible).

If you saw my post with Macy’s last month, then you recognize the military jacket!  Y’all know that I think a military jacket is a necessity for your closet, and this is a great one.

Without a doubt, this military jacket is one of my favorites that I’ve ever owned, and I’ve owned PLENTY.

It’s the perfect jacket for those of you that have been asking for one that covers your bum.  After showing two cropped military jackets over the last month, I received many requests for a recommendation for a longer jacket.  I tried several on to find one that I could recommend to y’all (I have a long one in my closet already, but it’s at least 3 years old). Sadly, I didn’t like any of them that I tried.  Most of them were too stiff and/or too bulky, and one of them was a better fit but I didn’t love the color.

And then I found this one!  For size reference, I’m wearing an x-small here, and I’m never an x-small in jackets, so I would definitely suggest sizing down.  Notice how it covers the bum.

The jacket is a great color, a great length, and a great fit.  I highly recommend it….especially at 25% OFF! 

And for those of you that are always looking for a great non-distressed jean, check these babies out!  They come in black too, but I loved this dark blue wash.  They are a thick and stretchy material, and my regular 27s were perfect on me.

OUTFIT #2:

As mentioned previously, although this outfit looks totally different than the above, the only thing actually different is the blouse!  It was already on sale, and with the additional 20% OFF, it’s a total steal!

For size reference, I’m wearing my regular size small.  You know I’m going to wear this with jeans, but I think it would also look great with a pair of grey trousers or grey cords for the office.

The earrings are a simple hoop that are a bit updated with the more oval shape.

OUTFIT #3:

I’ve got another completely different look for you, and once again, all I switched up was my top.  I subbed the peasant blouse for a tunic length sweater.

The colorblocking totally caught my eye across the store with the red and plum color combination.  I love how bold it is!  If you love the idea of the color blocking, but don’t want to go quite so bold, there’s 2 more color combos that are a light and dark grey.  For size reference, I’m wearing a small in the sweater.

OUTFIT #4:

The colors are so rich and pretty in this jacket, and I think it fits like a dream.

It fits snugly across the back and in the arms, but I am very comfortable in this jacket and absolutely love the way it drapes.  I’m wearing a small.

In addition to wearing it with skinny jeans, I also think it would look great dressed up with a black cami, boot cut jeans, and heels!

Okay, let’s talk about the boots .  I get lots of requests for boots that are UNDER $100, but I find that with boots that you get what you pay for, so I don’t usually have any boots in the under $100 price range that I like enough to recommend.  Well, I think that these are awesome!  They have a padded foot bed, a rounded toe, and a block heel which all contribute to the comfort level.  They also come in black.  For size reference, I did size down a 1/2, so consider sizing down if between sizes.

My boot the brown, but I think my pictures are a better representation of the color than the picture on the site.  The brown on the site is darker and more rich, and I think that the boots are definitely on the lighter brown side.  And I like how the light color contrasts against my dark jeans.  The buckles add a nice style element, and the heels are a great height (they give a little lift, but are still quite comfortable for walking).
