Happy Monday, y’all!
I had THE BEST weekend. It was my high school reunion, so I stayed in Dallas with one of my high school besties who is still a bestie (shout out, Kasey!) :), and it really was just the sweetest weekend. It was so good to see people that I hadn’t seen in so many years, and catching up with everybody was just a blast. Everybody looked amazing, and I loved hearing about everybody’s kids, where everybody is living, what they’re doing, etc. There was even talk of starting to do the reunions every 5 years (instead of every 10), and I would totally be down for that!
Okay, so for today’s post, I’m highlighting some favorite things I recently found at Anthropologie. Two of them I wore this weekend to the reunion, so you know I loved them!
But before we get to the clothes, Anthropologie Christmas has been released and can be found HERE with some impossibly darling and festive gifts, clothes, and holiday decor. I promise you that you will be singing Christmas carols in your head as you scroll through all of their holiday goodness.
And I want to talk specifically about something that I know will sell out soon. Because OH MY WORD the Anthropologie Beauty Advent Calendar is absolutely amazing.
First of all, it’s a beautiful presentation.

This is $300 worth of products!

And look how great the products are!!!
Anyway, I know there are lots of you that grab one of these every year, so now is your chance to carry on the tradition (before they’re gone)!

We all know that the western vibe is big right now, and this chambray dress is adorable. I love the Peter Pan collar and the subtle puffed sleeves trimmed with the tiny gathered ruffles. It’s 100% cotton, lightweight, and when styling you could really lean into the cowboy vibe with cowboy boots and turquoise jewelry, or you could go a little more subtle with some simple gold jewelry and suede boots. I’ll be wearing this both ways. This would be a perfect dress for a country concert for sure! For size reference, I’m wearing a regular small here.

This is one of the outfits I wore to my reunion!
And as you can see, this is the same dress as the one above, but in a beautiful fall floral. I think the colors are absolutely gorgeous. I’m really loving plums and wines this season. As you can see, it has the same feminine details as the chambray dress above. The site says this dress is 100% cotton too, but I totally thought it was a thin corduroy. I mean, it totally has the texture of a thin corduroy, and that’s 100% how I would describe it. I’m wearing a petite small here (I’m 5’4″), but I ended up exchanging it for the regular small for a bit of extra length. (I bought the chambray dress above in a regular small and this one in a petite small to see which fit I liked better. I definitely liked the regular small better on me.)
Also, just to be on the safe side, I bought these boy shorts to wear under it. The last thing I wanted was a wardrobe malfunction at my high school reunion. 😉

This leopard blouse was a top contender for the first night of the reunion, but I ended up going with a lace peplum blouse you’ll see later in the post. Leopard is huge this season, and I thought the overall shape and style of this one was so fun! The little puff sleeves, the tiny pleated and gathered details, the short and swingy fit… it’s all good. It is a bit sheer, so I will either wear a nude or black cami under it. And although I love it with regular denim, it would also look great with black denim or even black coated denim for a bit of an edgier look. Oooh! Maybe even a pair of leather pants or leather shorts, y’all! I will say this top is on the shorter side, so it might not work for you if you have a long torso. For size reference, I’m wearing a medium.
These Aliyah jeans are fabulous, and although they aren’t on sale, they are only $68. They are stretchy, comfy, flattering as all get out, and what I consider to be a perfect straight leg option. And since they are clean without any distressing, they are appropriate for jeans days at work! I know that wide leg jeans and barrel jeans are all the rage right now, but I have to say, I still find a nice straight leg jean to be the most figure flattering by far. These are a mid to high rise with a slightly frayed hem. I like the length with these booties, but I might actually cut a bit of length off so they will show a little ankle on me when wearing sneakers or flats. For size reference, I find them to be true to size. I’m wearing a 27.

For a much more casual look, how fun is this Go Team tee! It comes in this blue, a red, or a green. And it’s ON SALE! If one of those colors is good for your kid’s team, you should totally grab it. It’s 100 % cotton with a relaxed fit and a cropped length (but it’s not too cropped at all). It’s got short sleeves, but they go almost down to my elbow, and I actually love the length. For size reference, I’m wearing a medium.
I saw these patch pocket jeans on Shay, and they were so cute on her that I had to grab them for myself! So here’s the deal, I love the stretch and I love the patch pockets, but I’m unsure about the length on me. I ordered the regular sizing, but I think the petite sizing will be better on me. I’m 5’4″ (with long legs for my height and no torso), so I think I need a petite so a little more of my ankle can show. I’m wearing my regular size 27. I’ve ordered the petites, but they haven’t arrived yet, so I’ll be sure to report back when they do.

Okay, ladies. I KNOW ME, and I know beyond a shadow of a doubt that this sweatshirt will be one of my favorite and most worn shirts of the season. Is it flashy? No. Is it a great basic that happens to be flattering that I know I will reach for all the time? 1,000% YES.
As soon as I tried it on, I hopped on and ordered the “cherry tomato” too. It also comes in black. The cherry tomato was on backorder and isn’t supposed to arrive until next week, but I can’t wait. This sweatshirt is soft, it’s cozy, and it’s cute. And while it is a sweatshirt, it is totally elevated with the slightly puffed sleeves (but they’re not aggressive at all) and the banded hem. I LOVE IT SO MUCH. And I’m not the only one that loves it, it has excellent reviews. For size reference, I’m wearing a medium.

And in case you aren’t a fan of the patch pocket jeans, I wanted to show it to you with one of my current favorite pairs of straight leg jeans. I think it looks awesome with this pair.
It’s a simple look, but it’s classic, and I think it’s so cute!

And how fun is this plaid mini dress! This is their best selling Somerset mini dress that actually comes in a ton of colors, patterns, and materials. We’re talking organza, denim, velvet, long sleeve, short sleeve, and strapless.
But let’s talk about this super cute plaid. It’s ivory, green, black, pink, and oh so cute.
It has a flattering smocked waist, a flirty tiered skirt, pockets, and a great neckline. Do you love it? Because I love it. I’m wearing a medium petite and like the fit on me. If you’re over 5’4″, I would recommend the regular sizing instead of the petite sizing.

This lace peplum blouse was what I wore to the first night of the reunion, and I felt cute and comfortable in it. It has 40 reviews, and the great majority are 5 STARS. Y’all know I often adore a little peplum hem, and this one is definitely worthy of my adoration with the lacy material and subtle scallop hem. The sleeves have a bit of volume (but just a bit), and the lace is gorgeous. I did wear a neutral cami under it, and it was perfect. For size reference, I’m wearing a medium.
I obviously liked the casual look with denim, but this baby could easily be dressed up tons of different ways. It’s a really great top, and I’m so happy to have it in my closet! I think it will be great with one of my favorite pair of stretchy black pants, and it would also look great under a blazer.
(And as Anthro pricing goes, I thought it was very affordable for what it is.)

Because I’m apparently really digging the Western vibes these days, check out this plaid button up that kinda makes me wanna say yee-haw! 😉 This one also has excellent reviews. It’s 99% cotton and 1% elastane. I don’t know how that 1% makes a difference, but it totally does. It’s got a perfect little bit of stretch to it that I really appreciate in a button down. These sleeves are part ruffle and part puff, but totally darling. (You can see an up close and detailed shot of the sleeve on the site, and you can see it actually looks a little tailored. It’s realllly cute.) I’m in love with this shirt. For size reference, I’m wearing a medium and liked the fit. Some reported they sized down, but the buttons at the chest definitely would have pulled if I had of sized down.

Okay, that’s all y’all!

The jewelry you picked is just perfect-especially the heart toggle necklace! It adds such a sweet, stylish touch to the outfit. Loved how you styled it both ways so effortlessly!
