December Top 12

Today’s post is one of my favorite posts each and every month. Today I’m going to share your Top 12 picks from December.

Not surprisingly, many of y’alls Top 12 picks are in my top picks for the month as well. All 12 items I’m featuring today are items that I added to my own closet or makeup drawer, and because of that, they are items that you will continue to see on the blog (as long as they are in stock). And I’m guessing that several of the items that made December’s Top 12 list are items that y’all gifted to loved ones for Christmas. I love that!

I actually just realized that three of the items on December’s list (#1, #10, and #11) have been on at least 1 other month’s Top 12 list as well.

So, what were our favorites for the month?  Let’s look and see…

1) must have sweater / I think this is actually the 3rd month this sweater has been in the Top 12. It’s a good one, y’all. However, I don’t want to talk about it too much, because it looks like almost every color and size are sold out. 🙁

So instead, let’s talk about the pants. Although they didn’t make y’alls Top 12, they were in my Top 5! When wearing these pants, you will look great AND it will basically feel like you are wearing lounge wear. I wasn’t sure I was going to love them because of the pleats across the front (and my tummy is my problem area), but in addition to being on trend they are also incredibly flattering. They are very stretchy, and I’m telling you, if you work in an office you will want to wear them every single day.

2) v-neck sweater / I know there are tons of people out there that prefer a v-neck sweater to a crewneck sweater, so here’s an option for you! This one comes in 5 colors and is right under $60. Actually, right now it’s ON SALE for just under $45. It’s a bit boxy, but I happen to like boxy. I can’t do a half-tuck with this sweater (and y’all know I love a half-tuck), but this one hits me at the perfect spot to be worn out. For size reference, I’m wearing a medium.

I love this “red grape” color, but it also comes in black, ivory, an olive (that leans mustard), and a really pretty greyish blue.

5) cute and cozy socks / So this is kind of crazy, but these socks were actually the #1 seller on the blog in December!!!! They are incredibly cozy, and my goodness they are DARLING!!!! I’ve been wearing them non-stop all break long and will continue to.

Pair them with the platform slippers for a seriously cute combo!

6) cozy platform slippers / These cozy platform slippers are a SUPER AFFORDABLE alternative to the chestnut Ugg slippers that have gone viral. The ones I’m wearing are on super sale right now for just $19.99, and they are a really great option especially since the UGGs seem to be sold out everywhere.

Athough not all of the reviews are great, I’m actually pretty freaking impressed with them. The first day I wore them all day around the house and then even wore them out to dinner (just like all the kids are doing). 🙂 And now I’ve probably worn them 20x since then. I got this affordable option because I couldn’t imagine the real ones would be worth it to me because of the price tag. But actually, I totally get the allure of them now.

7) cross necklace / The necklace is beautiful and something you could wear every single day.

8) multicolor beaded necklace / This is a necklace I added to my closet back in October I think, and I’ve worn it over and over and over again. I love it so much.

9) must have pajamas / I’ve honestly never been more excited to put pajamas on at the end of the day. There’s NOTHING I would rather be wearing at home. I wear this brand of pajamas all year round (because they have all sorts of materials and styles), and although I love all of them, I find this particular pair to be far superior and they are the only ones that have earned MUST HAVE status.

There’s nothing softer.

They are soooo comfy and reallllllly warm and cozy, but they don’t make me too hot either!

I’m telling you, they are pajama perfection. That’s right, I said it.

They might look like your standard issue flannel pajamas, but they’re not. They are SO MUCH BETTER and although they look flannel, THEY AREN’T FLANNEL. Flannel is not my favorite. These are soft, stretchy, warm, cozy, but not too hot. #justsaynotoflannel

And great news, they launder perfectly. I’ve washed them countless times (I mean you have to when you’re wearing them every single day),  and they still look and feel brand new. For size reference, I’m wearing a small

It’s the material of these pajamas that make them so positively dreamy.

I now own 3 different pairs. A white and green and red plaid pair from last year, the buffalo check you see here from last year, and then this year I grabbed the “urban green holiday plaid”, which is green and pink. Several patterns are very Christmassy, but there are others that don’t scream holiday (like the plain black, the celestial, the silver plaid, the leopard, and the black and white buffalo plaid).

I’m telling you, this will be the best seventeen dollars you’ve ever spent.

I am in total agreement. These have been a must have for me since I got them last year. I own 2 pairs, and I’m getting a 3rd today for myself and I’m going to get them for my sisters and mom too. They’re the best! – Sarah

I’ve purchased countless numbers of items from your blog over the last 8 years or so (just ask my husband), but these pajamas from Walmart just might be my favorite purchase ever. I’m like you, they just make me happy. – Samantha

I’m telling y’all, you need to try these pajamas. Here I am in the new ones I grabbed this year. This picture was taken after a night of sleeping in them. As you can see, they don’t wrinkle at all. They are THE BEST PAJAMAS I HAVE EVER OWNED. And they are ONLY $17.

10) must have boot cut jeans / I’ve been talking about these exact jeans for years now. Seriously, YEARS. They are the most flattering pair of jeans I have ever owned. I named them a must have quite a while ago, and years later they are still one of my most worn pair of jeans. They are super comfortable and very stretchy (but they totally hold their shape throughout the day). Their claim to fame? I promise you that you will look 2 inches taller and 10 pounds lighter. I know that’s a bold claim, but I stand by it. 😉

You will have legs for dayzzzzzzzzzzz.

Many people size down in these jeans because of the stretch, but I wear my regular size 4.

11) faded black jeans / These washed black Wit and Wisdom jeans have added some much needed dimension to my closet. They’re a heavier denim and have a bit more structure than most of my WW jeans, and I’m so excited to have them. They’re good with booties, with flats, with mules, and with fashion sneakers. They hit at the ankle and they have a frayed hem. True to size for me, I’m wearing the 4.

This sweater is a heavier mid weight and quite warm. And I’m dying over the argyle! I love the chunky hem, and the length is perfect to just wear out. It is a very relaxed fit and is a bit oversized, so I would suggest sizing down. I’m wearing a small.

This top is the perfect soft chambray, I love the wash, and I’m obsessed with the fit and the ruffle collar and neckline. Plain and simple, this top is fabulous. It’s not stiff at all, and it’s got a little bit of give to it. For size reference, I’m wearing a medium.

This cardi is incredibly soft, it has a good amount of stretch in it, and it’s very well made. You could of course wear it open with a tee underneath, but I like the look here all buttoned up too. This color combination really is swoon worthy. For size reference, I’m wearing a medium.

12) striped cardi / This striped cardigan is absolutely adorable. It’s got a fabulous neckline, oversized tortoise buttons, a great ribbed hem and cuffs, and I love the fit. The green looks a bit festive, but it also comes in red and white if you want to be more obviously festive. It actually comes in 8 color options. For size reference, I’m wearing a small.

13) fair isle sweater / There’s just something about a fair isle sweater. And the colors on this one are so fun! Vibrant blue, green, pink, and white come together in a classic fair isle pattern. I love the light grey of the sweater, but I really love that the pattern is continued on the cuffs as well. Such a nice detail! For size reference, I’m wearing a small and it’s still roomy, so I do think it’s oversized.
