December Top 12

Today’s post is one of my favorite posts each and every month. Today I’m going to share your Top 12 picks from December.

Not surprisingly, many of y’alls Top 12 picks are in my top picks for the month as well. All 12 items I’m featuring today are items that I added to my own closet or makeup drawer, and because of that, they are items that you will continue to see on the blog (as long as they are in stock). And I’m guessing that several of the items that made December’s Top 12 list are items that y’all gifted to loved ones for Christmas. I love that!

I actually just realized that three of December’s Top 12 were in November’s Top 12 too (#2, #3, and #8). Hey, I get it. THEY ARE AWESOME.

So, what were our favorites for the month?  Let’s look and see…

1) Barefoot Dreams dupe blanket / This cozy throw is FABULOUS. Every single person in your home will love it. It has an average 4.8 star rating with over 500 reviews left, AND IT’S JUST UNDER $20! It’s a dupe for the $180 Barefoot Dream blanket, and it’s soooooooooooo good. It launders perfectly, and I really do believe that it is every bit as good as the $180 blanket. I gave it to both my dad and my sister-in-law for Christmas. And I bought another one for our house as well. (My sister-in-law got the leopard seen below, my dad got the grey stripe, and I got the plain cream for myself.)

2) boucle bomber jacket ON SALE / This jacket totally gives Vuori vibes, but for a fraction of the price. Y’all know that I absolutely LOVE and ADORE Vuori. I’ve been wearing it for years, I love telling everybody how amazing the brand is, and I stand by that. HOWEVER, I know that Vuori pieces are pricey, and I’m thrilled to say that I’ve stumbled upon some great options that are much more affordable.

This jacket is very similar to my Vuori Cozy Sherpa Jacket that is $168.

But this little boucle bomber (seen below) is MUCH MORE AFFORDABLE. It’s regularly $70 (which is already a great deal), but it’s ON SALE right now for ONLY $49!

It’s lightweight with a relaxed fit, and it’s not bulky at all! It’s lined with a warm fabric which I appreciate, because jackets lined with silky fabrics make me crazy because they are so cold when you first put them on!

It’s got a bit of a cropped fit (but it’s not cropped cropped if you know what I mean), and it has a stand-up collar that y’all know I love. Do you see the front pockets on the bottom half of the jacket? They fold over with snaps, so you can store things in them if you need to. But the great thing about the pockets is that they also have side slits, so they function like a normal pocket. Jackets without real pockets annoy the fire out of me, so I was happy to realize that these pockets were actual functioning pockets.

I’m wearing the “lilac bellflower”, but it also comes in beige, a dark olive green, and black.

For size reference, I’m wearing a medium.

I’m telling you, it is so cozy and so cute that you are never going to want to take it off. And again, it’s 1/4 of the price of the Vuori jacket I love. That’s quite a deal.

3) toiletry travel bag ON SALE / This bag was one of my top finds from Amazon last year, and I continue to highly recommend it. I’m actually about to talk about not only the travel toiletry bag in the collage, but also the matching travel jewelry organizer (not pictured in collage). I never travel without these two bags and they are BOTH ON SALE!

Let’s start with this travel jewelry organizer. I’ve ordered a lot of jewelry organizer in my day, but this is the best one by far. It holds so many earrings, rings, and necklaces. Notice on the left how the necklaces can be snapped in and they have elasticized holders to keep them from getting tangled. There are also two pockets to hold more earrings and bracelets as well as a couple of fabrics rods for you to slip rings over. It really is awesome.

The travel toiletry bag is totally legit. It holds sooooo much, keeps things super organized, and you can just hang it on a towel bar, in a closet, or on any bathroom hook. Look how much it holds! And then it folds up and zips closed with ease.

 

4) lip mask / I’m OBSESSED with this lip mask and have been for years and years. It truly is a product that I cannot live without.  “Gummy bear” is my new favorite. I sweep this on my lips every single night when I get into bed, but on days I’m at home and not wearing makeup, I wear it during the day as well. It keeps your lips super hydrated and will leave them feeling so soft and so smooth. TREAT YOURSELF. FOR REAL.

5) stain treater / This is the best stain treatment I have ever used. I haven’t found a stain yet that has stood a chance. I used to buy the 3 pack in the small bottles, so I was thrilled when they recently came out with the bigger spray bottle. It’s pricey, but it’s worth it.

6) must have strapless bra ON SALE / I named this strapless bra a MUST HAVE years and years ago, and it most definitely is. You won’t have to pull on it, you won’t have to tug on it, and it will give you a nice and rounded shape. Here’s the kicker, it’s so comfortable that you might even find yourself wearing it when you don’t have to wear a strapless. WOW.

7) hard sole slippers ON SALE / Let’s talk about these sandals/slippers. They are actually called sandals, but for me they function more like slippers. They’ve been taking the internet by storm. They have a hard sole, so they are definitely made to be worn out of the house (but I haven’t done that yet – except to the mailbox). Because of the hard sole, they feel more like a shoe than a slipper when you have them on. When I first put them on, I thought they weren’t cozy enough, but I ended up wearing them a majority of the day at home and actually ended up really liking them. They don’t come in 1/2 sizes, and I’m typically a 6 1/2 and sized up to a 7.

 

8) drawstring pants /Ladies! I can’t believe I’m saying that they are back again…. BUT THEY ARE BACK AGAIN! Back in September I posted some outfit plan collages with a pair of drawstring ponte pants. They sold out immediately, and I was so sad that so many of y’all wanted them that couldn’t get them. Well, they  came back on November 15th….and they sold out again.

WELL, THERE’S BEEN ANOTHER RESTOCK!!! And this right here is your sign to grab them. NOW. This is me telling you to.

They’re from Wit and Wisdom, they are an awesome ponte fabric (which means they are so stretchy and comfy), and they are DARLING.

They will be great for those of you that work in an office environment, but you can see here that I also think they look great styled casually with sneakers.

Plain and simple, THESE PANTS ARE FANTASTIC. And the readers that were lucky enough to grab them already think so too! I’ve received countless messages singing their praises. They are a substantial ponte knit, but they aren’t too thick or bulky. They are incredibly flattering, super comfy with the drawstring waist, and just a cool look! You can easily dress them up for the office with a nice sweater and flats, but I also love them worn super casually here with sneakers.

A perfect mix of comfy and polished, these stretchy ponte pants feature a drawstring waist, full-length legs and ‘Ab’Leisure shaping pockets for a smooth fit.

9) cardigan / This oversized cardi is ON SALE! It’s a beautiful soft lilac, but it also comes in beige, black, and a soft blue. It’s got a ribbed texture and a relaxed fit. For size reference, I’m wearing a small.

10) must have joggers / My must have joggers are probably the most worn item in my closet. Seriously, you MUST own a pair. I know they’ve been in the Top 12 several times over the last year. They are pricey, but they are sooooooo worth it. Great for running around town, great for lounging at home, and great for travel days. For size reference, I’m wearing a small.
