2018 Nordstrom Anniversary Sale: MORE FAVORITE FINDS During Early Access

I highlighted many of my very favorite items yesterday (click HERE for yesterday’s post if you missed it!), but I’ve got MORE ITEMS today! If you’re new around these parts, the NORDSTROM ANNIVERSARY SALE introduces fall and winter items at a deeply reduced introductory price.  The items are introduced with SALE PRICES, and then when the sale is over, the prices go back up. It’s Nordstrom’s way of encouraging us to start buying fall stuff when it is still 100 degrees outside.  AND IT WORKS.  Because the deals are fantastic. #andweareallsuckersforagreatdeal

So… Turn off the t.v., get your kids a snack and tell them to go read quietly (or let’s be real, hand them an iPad!  ha!), and ignore your husband for the next several minutes.  GAME FACE, GIRLS. Because here are even more of the best Nordstrom Anniversary Sale items.

MORE EARLY ACCESS ANNIVERSARY SALE FAVORITES

I couldn’t share everything yesterday, but these are still items that I absolutely adore. I’m wearing the same jeans, shoes, and jewelry that I introduced you to yesterday, so none of that is new (click HERE to see my thorough reviews on my favorite jeans and shoes).  Today is mainly new tops and sweaters!

GREAT BASIC SWEATER FOR UNDER $30

I showed y’all this sweater yesterday, but I styled it with a scarf, so it was hard to see the sweater in all it’s glory. (Click HERE to see it with the scarf.)

Now that you can see it properly, LOOK HOW GOOD THIS SWEATER IS.  It’s ONLY $29.90 and comes in 3 additional colors.  It’s a perfect relaxed fit and is long enough to cover your hiney.  And it’s soooooooooooooooooo soft.  It will be great on it’s own early fall and spring, and it’s thin enough to layer under all sorts of jackets when you’ve got a chilly day.

Let’s talk about the jewelry for a sec.  I ADORE THE EARRINGS.  I can’t believe they didn’t sell out yesterday, and they still seem to be available in all 3 metal colors!  And although I couldn’t find it yesterday, I finally found the link for the long necklace.  This is a great basic to have to wear on it’s own or to layer.

I wasn’t excited about the selection of bags this year, but I really do like this grey satchel, and it’s a great price at $45.90! I love the studded black Frye bag too, but I have a similar Vince Camuto bag (without studs) from last year, so I just don’t need it.

Sizing Tips:  I’m wearing a small in the sweater and there’s still plenty of room.  I’m wearing my regular 4s in the jeans (I’ve ordered the petite to see if I like a shorter fit), and you need to size down a 1/2 in the booties.

SOFT CASHMERE PONCHO

This poncho is luxurious.  It’s just plain yummy.

It comes in this beige or a grey color blocking, and it’s just so dang chic!  It’s regularly $149, but the SALE PRICE is just under $100!  It is completely open on the sides, and I will put it up on stories today so you can see exactly what I mean.

Sizing Tips:  The poncho is one size fits all, I sized up to a 28 in the jeans, and the wedge sneakers are true to size.

I couldn’t find the close up of these AG jeans yesterday, but I found the pics last night!  These are the pair that I’m wearing in the outfit above, and the 1 pair of designer jeans I picked up from the sale.  You know I’m loyal to AG, and these did not disappoint.  I did have to size up to a 28 (and nobody ever likes to size up in jeans), but the fit made it worth it.  There truly is a difference with premium denim.  Find all AG jeans in the sale HERE.

SUEDE MOTO JACKET

Okay, I have another great jacket for y’all today!  If you weren’t a fan of the $65 black moto jacket from yesterday, this could be your jacket!  I really love this olive color, but it comes in a crimson as well.  I’ll show it on my stories today so you can see it in action.  I thought it looked great with this floral blouse!

Sizing Tips:  I sized up to a medium in the jacket, but I most often size up in jackets like this.  I’m wearing a small in the blouse, and it was still oversized.  I’m wearing a 4P in the jeans, and the booties are true to size.

So I loved the jacket with the floral blouse above, but I also loved it with a plain white tee.  This is just a good looking jacket, and the price is right!  I love this whole outfit, and I have to say, it made me feel cool.  And who doesn’t want to be a cool mom in a moto jacket?  Ha!

I’m so bummed that the short star necklace sold out already, but I’ve also ordered this one that will give the same look and is still in stock.  I ordered the gold.

SHORT SLEEVED TURTLENECK SWEATER

This short sleeved sweater is super soft, it comes in 5 total colors, and I love the slouchy turtleneck.  I left the store without this one, but I ordered it in the red yesterday (but I’m kind of wishing I would have ordered the pretty blush instead).

Sizing Tips:  I’m wearing an x-small in the sweater in the picture below, but I wanted a little more room, so I ordered the small for myself.  I sized up to a 28 in the jeans, and the booties are true to size.

HEELED BOOTIES

I didn’t get these for myself because I still love my Vince Camuto heeled booties from the sale last year….BUT THESE ARE GOOD Y’ALL.  If you need a dressy bootie, look no further.  The heel is definitely thinner than last year’s version, but they are still comfy. Size down a 1/2 size in these.

SUEDE WEDGE BOOTIES

While we are talking about favorite shoes, I want to highlight these too.  I have a cognac wedge bootie I got 2-3 years ago, and I still love them, and I still reach for them all the time.  I rarely show them on the blog though, because every time I would, an influx of questions would come in about where to get them.  And for the longest time, there wasn’t anything similar that I could find.  These wedge booties fill that void.  These come in 5 colors and are true to size.

SNAP WRAP/ WATERFALL CARDI

This wrap thing is a departure for me, but I’m so glad I tried it.  I know lots of you are going to absolutely freaking love it.

The site is calling it a “jacket”, but I think of it as more as a wrap/cardi combo.  You can wear it snapped close (the snap is up by the neck), or you can wear it open like a waterfall cardi.  It drapes beautifully worn both ways, the fabric is soft and dreamy, AND IT HAS POCKETS. Look for it to be shown on instagram stories today!  It also comes in black and a merlot.

I’m definitely going to try to style this with tall boots and the Spanx faux leather leggings I ordered from the sale (lots of people are talking about the camo ones too)!

COZY FLEECE TUNIC

The nice people over at Gibson sent me this as a sneak peek before the sale went live, and I knew it would be a crowd favorite for sure.  Gibson does COZY FLEECE sooooo well.

The grey is a great basic, but I’m totally crushing on the gorgeous magenta color!  It comes in 6 total colors, so there’s something for everybody.  I love both the high low hem and the exposed center seams.

Sizing Tips:  I’m wearing a small, and there’s plenty of room.  If you want it more fitted, I suggest sizing down.  I’m wearing my regular 4s in the jeans (size down if between sizes) and the booties are true to size.

And good news!  This top comes in plus size top!

EARLY ACCESS BEAUTY FINDS

I didn’t even mention beauty yesterday, but there are of course AMAZING beauty deals to be had!  There’s been so much buzz about the devices/tools available, so I’m going to make a point to check them out.  There’s tools ranging from magnifying mirrors, to curling wands and hairdryers, to a teeth whitening system, and a personal micrdermabrasion device.

NEULASH

A NEULASH VALUE PACK IS IN THE SALE, Y’ALL!

The pic on the left is of my sister’s lashes. She’s the one who told me I HAD to start using Neulash. The picture on the right is me. I received several DMs wanting to see MY lashes after showing my sister’s so often, so here you go! Even though I haven’t showered and I’m wearing a nightgown and a men’s fleece, I threw on some eye makeup to show y’all! 

I’m not as diligent as I should be about using the Neulash, but I’ve still had great results!

ANNIVERSARY SALE QUESTIONS I’VE BEEN RECEIVING

I’ve been receiving lots of questions from y’all through e-mail and via social media, so I thought I would answer some of them here on the blog today.

Many of the questions have been about one of my most popular FAVORITE FINDS:  my undies.  I promise you, you will forget you are even wearing them.  And after you try one pair, you will want to replace your entire underwear drawer with them.

Many of you were wondering if I hand wash them, per the guidelines. I DO NOT HAND WASH THEM!  No Way!  #aintnobodygottimeforthat  I don’t treat them special at all, I just wash and dry them with a regular load.

There has also been some confusion over these because they are called “Bliss Cotton Girl Briefs”.  Lots of you are assuming that they are for little girls…but I promise they are not! These are ladies sizing!

I fielded lots of questions on if the blardigans would resotck.  SO MANY of you were disappointed that you had already missed your desired color and size for a blardigan…but GREAT NEWS!  Some have been restocked, and others are available again on backorder, but they’re just on backorder for 2 short weeks!  I’m wearing the x small/small.
