So, let’s get straight to my outfit!
Today’s look is a quintessential Fall outfit, but the deep cranberry and green colors also make it perfect for December!
blouse (plus size blouse)/ military jacket / earrings / necklace / bracelet / leopard belt option / jeans / boots
I fell in love with the rich color of this blouse, and I was so excited when I found that it also comes in plus size! The peasant styling of the blouse is comfortable, and it’s also very flattering to a variety of body types. It is semi-sheer, so you will definitely want to wear a cami under it. I’m wearing a nude cami here, and you can see that it no longer appears sheer.
I definitely love this top worn on it’s own, but it’s also a great weight for layering. For size reference, I’m wearing my regular small in the blouse.
The jeans are stretchy, comfy, a nice dark wash, and an incredible deal. I’m wearing my regular 27s, and they also come in black!
The necklace and the earrings are both wonderful basics that you will find yourself reaching for again and again. The gold has a nice matte finish, so neither piece is too shiny. The bracelet is also one that you can pair with all sorts of different outfits, both casual and dressy.
The blouse is pretty on it’s own, but as with just about every outfit you wear, I think it’s even better with a military jacket layered on top. I’m pretty much the President of the National Military Jacket Fan Club. Who would like to be my VP?
I think my love for this particular military jacket has been proven. It’s one of my favorites I’ve ever owned, and if you’ve read this blog for awhile, you know I’ve owned PLENTY. This is now the 3th or 4th time you are seeing it on the blog, and I’ve only owned it for a couple of months. I love how it’s longer than most of my military jackets, I love the muted olive color, and I love the fit.
For size reference, I’m wearing an x-small here, and I’m never an x-small in jackets, so I would definitely suggest sizing down.
It’s a really great jacket. I’ve heard from many of you over the years that you are afraid of how much use you will get out of a “green” jacket. Well, the answer is, A TON! This olive color really does function as a neutral, and you will find that it goes with pretty much every single outfit you would ever think about putting it with.
We talked about the boots last month, but let’s talk about them again.
I get lots of requests for boots that are UNDER $100, but I find that with boots that you get what you pay for, so I don’t usually have any boots in the under $100 price range that I like enough to recommend. Well, I think that these are a really great UNDER $100 option! They have a padded foot bed, a rounded toe, and a block heel which all contribute to the comfort level. They also come in black. For size reference, I did size down a 1/2, so consider sizing down if between sizes.
My boots are the brown, but I think my pictures are a better representation of the color than the picture on the site. The brown on the site is darker, and I think that the boots are definitely on the lighter brown side. And I like how the light color contrasts against my dark jeans. The buckles add a nice style element, and the heels are a great height (they give a little lift, but are still quite comfortable for walking).
I love all of these pieces individually and know I will be mixing and matching them with a lot of different outfits. But I definitely love them all styled together as well.

And just to further prove my love for the jacket, let’s look at a couple of past outfits with the jacket. I love it here with the blue and leopard!
thermal top (plus size thermal top) / military jacket/ earrings / necklace / bracelet / leopard belt option / jeans / boots
And it of course pairs perfectly with camo.
camo tee (plus size camo tee)/ military jacket / necklace / earrings / side striped jeans / booties / bag option

I tried to use the code to get the military jacket and it says it doesn’t qualify for the promotion.

Yes, there are some exclusions. We just weren’t told what they were going to be. So bummed it’s not included! xoxo, Sheaffer 🙂
