Affordable Spring Outfits (Head To Toe)!

Happy Monday, y’all!

I don’t know about where y’all live, but spring has officially sprung in my neck of the woods. It was 82 yesterday, and tomorrow the high is supposed to be 88. EIGHTY EIGHT. But don’t worry, Texas is still confused because Wednesday the high is supposed to be 49. Haha!

I know that dressing this time of year is often confusing because of the huge temperature swings, so the question that often comes up is do you dress for the temperature or the season? Well, I typically dress for the temperature, but within reason. For example, over the weekend I wore joggers, a short-sleeved sweatshirt (a springy pink), and sneakers. I mean, even though it was summer temps, you weren’t going to catch me in a sundress quite yet. 😉

So here’s what I typically do when it’s warm, but I’m not ready to rock sleeveless tops and open toe shoes…

I usually cover up either on top or on bottom. Like I might wear a long sleeve sweatshirt with denim shorts. Or maybe I wear a short sleeve tee with jeans and sneakers. OR if I’m wearing long sleeves and long pants, I at least try to incorporate springy colors. For example, instead of a rust sweater, I’ll wear a lilac one!

None of this is rocket science, but I just wanted to give you some tips to think about as you are picking out your outfit for the day.

Today I’ve got a great pair of jeans, some perfect spring accessories, and a variety of shoes and tops that will make dressing this time of year a breeze. And EVERYTHING you see is great quality and super affordable! We’re talking EVERYTHING is under $25, most is under $20, and some of the accessories are under $5! WOW!

OUTFIT #1: Jeans, a Spring Cardigan, and Sneakers

This first outfit is such an easy look to throw together.

And do you see how I look ready for spring even though I’m covered from head to toe? The pretty violet color immediately makes you think SPRING! The light-colored tote bag and the white sneakers further help my case.

This cardi is from Time and Tru, one of my favorite Walmart brands. I own tons of Time and Tru pieces, and although it wasn’t intentional, today’s post should actually be a Time and Tru brand spotlight. With the exception of the white tee and the tote, EVERYTYHING I’m wearing today is Time and Tru. The brand consistently puts out on trend and affordable pieces.

The material and weight of the cardi also make it perfect for days that might start on the cooler side but end up being quite warm in the afternoon.

And check out these jeans! They seem to be going in and out of stock, so if they’re out of your size right now, make sure to check back. They are stretchy, comfy, and a great light wash for this time of year. The fit is totally on trend with the straight legs with a little flare (that isn’t too aggressive) and the frayed hem. For size reference, I’m wearing my regular size 4.

I first showed this twisty bangle bracelet last year, and I still love it. It’s easy to slip on and makes a huge impact for under $6.

These platform sneakers are a bright white and will pair well with jeans, skirts, dresses, or shorts. They are quite comfy with a cushioned footbed, and I love the little bit of height they give. They are true to size for me.

OUTFIT #2: Jeans, a Spring Jacket, and Sandals

In outfit #2, I switched out the cardi for a jacket and the sneakers for some heeled sandals. The jeans, tee, and all of the accessories remain the same.

And y’all already know that I think EVERYBODY needs a military jacket they love. It’s a perfect layering piece for both spring and fall. They often come in several colors, but I always lean towards the olive green options. I can’t believe it, but this one is on sale for only $14! The quality is awesome, it’s got a bit of stretch in it, and it has internal drawstrings that allow you to cinch the waist in if you would like. For size reference, I’m wearing a medium.

This jacket is also a great choice. It’s a more relaxed vibe, and I love it.

These are the sunglasses I’ve been wearing for at least 5 years now. I’ve bought other pairs of course, but these are the ones I always reach for.

And look how cute these sandals are. They’ve got a nice chunky heel, they are easy to walk on, the braided detail is simple and pretty, and the cognac color is perfection. True to size for me and under $25! The reviews are excellent.

OUTFIT #3: Jeans, a Lightweight Button Up, and Slides

Outfit #3 is easy breezy and super happy. I love pink and green together.

The shirt is gauzy and very lightweight. It also comes in violet, a light green, and black. I’m showing it worn super casually here worn out tunic style, but it would also be cute tied at the waist or with a 1/2 tuck. I actually think it’s too long on me worn like this, but I’m keeping it for a swimsuit cover-up! For size reference, I’m wearing a medium. If I was keeping it to wear as a shirt (and not a cover-up), I would grab a small instead.

I’m sad that this crossbody is no longer available, but I know lots of you purchased it when I highlighted it the first time, so I wanted to show you how well it goes with my new green slide sandals.

OUTFIT #4: Jeans, a Floral Blouse, and Heeled Sandals

For Outfit #4, everything is the same as outfit #2. I just switched out the tee and military jacket for this pretty floral blouse.

This blouse is a lovely navy, creamy white, and sea foam green floral. It has a split neck and a great little gather detail at the bottom of the sleeves. For size reference, I’m wearing a medium.
