We all know that the beloved fringe scarf sold out. And we were all greatly saddened. 🙁
I know that sounds dramatic, but it’s true. Ha!
Well, GREAT NEWS. It’s back!

The first version had a larger waffle weave,
but I feel confident I’m going to love this one just as much!
It’s so SO soft, and it styles itself!

Blardigan Review
I’ve been getting a CRAZY amount of questions about the blardigan.
I addressed most of them on facebook yesterday, but for those of you that aren’t on facebook, I thought you might want to see the answers. If you’ve already read this, then just move along to #3! 🙂
1) It washes really well. REALLY well.
2) I wear it with jeans AND leggings.
Yes, it totally covers my hiney when I’m wearing leggings.
3) I promise it doesn’t look like a robe. The fitted arms are what makes it look like it’s street clothes.
4) Lots of people think they are going to be too short or too tall for it.
I have a friend at work that is 5’1″ that wears it and loves it.
I
have a bloggy friend that is 5’9″ that wears it and loves it.
5) Yes, I wear it out of the house ALL OF THE TIME. But I wear it at home even more.
6) I understand it’s expensive, but I think it’s worth EVERY SINGLE
PENNY.
In fact, when I bought it I wondered if it was worth the price
tag, but now I’m SERIOUSLY considering ordering a 2nd one. Because yes,
it’s just that awesome.
Hope these answers help all of you
that are on the fence. As one reader said,
“If you’re on the fence
about the blardigan, GET OFF OF IT!”

It’s Time to Get Pin-Spired
It’s January 3rd?
Well, whatever day it is, it’s time for us to “GET PIN-SPIRED”!
As always, I am partnering up with Shay at Mix and Match Family and Mel at The Larson Lingo and hoping that all of you will join in the fun!
You know I’ve talked about black, brown AND GREY together before…
Well, I saw this picture on Pinterest and decided this was THE EASIEST WAY to mix the colors.
Black Dress + Grey Leggings + Brown Boots = TOTAL AWESOMENESS
via
So, I took all 3 main pieces, and I put together the same outfit. Black tunic HERE When I wore it to church on Christmas Eve, I actually ended up styling it with THIS scarf. The I looked back through my previous posts, and I found several other black, brown, and grey looks. I also really like THIS one (again, same tunic…just different colors). I love all of the below black and grey looks, and I’m really liking the middle look with the pop of yellow!
Click HERE for the grey and yellow tunic. 40% off and only 2 sizes left.
Other two pieces sold out before the post went live. Sorry! But don’t worry, I found some other fantastic options! Click HERE for another long tunic choice. THIS is new and you now how I love a stripe. I found some great Anthropologie options too!
Here is one review on the above dress. Here is another: And here are 3 more options from Anthro: And for one more option, I found this dress on the Goodnight Macaroon site. ***********************************************************************************************
Here are my favorites that are on sale:
And they have 2 different amazing coats on FLASH sale too!
Are you guys in love with Goodnight Macaroon as much as I am?!?
Okay, that’s it for today girls!
3) Have an AMAZING weekend! |

You look so cute in the black tunic and cognac boots, love it! I had never heard of Goodnight Macaroon before you started posting about it. I may just have to order something with the sale!!
Mix and Match Mama says
That first Pin-spired look was amazing! I loved your version even more than the original. And the fringe scarf…the red and grey have been ordered and are on the way to my house! Yay!
Laura says
My blardigan arrived yesterday and I can vouch that it definitely does not look like a robe 🙂 I would even wear it with skinny cords and boots. It's very versitile and definitely worth a splurge!
Katie Paladino says
Fabulous post!! You are a plethora of fashion knowledge! Thank you:)
Paige says

Happy Weekend!!
{Hi Sugarplum!} says
You know I got the bootcut version of the Vigoss, with the flap pocket…I've yet to have them hemmed! Maybe I should just exchange them for the skinny ones you like. Sounds like you had to size up for them, yes?
Christie says
Ordered my jeans last night. I suppose it was only a matter of time.
Sarah says
Love it! The original infinity scarf is back in stock in Teal & Dusty Pink!!! http://shop.nordstrom.com/s/david-young-open-weave-infinity-scarf-juniors
V @ X-tremely V says
I love everything you featured today! I actually ordered the striped tunic and the gray cowl neck tunic the other day! Can't wait for them to arrive 🙂
Beve says
So bummed! I know you always talk about free shipping from Nordstroms……but I wanted to try it on before I bought it! I have been wanting the blue with black bottom Caslon tunic since I saw it on your blog. We don't have a Nordstrom's here in ALabama and I knew I would be near one during Christmas in San Diego. I found it in the store and loved it, but didn't want to add anything else to my suitcase. When I tried to order it after we got back, it's out of stock in my size!!!!!! So disappointed that I am now on a wait list and may not get it. Word to the wise, when you see something that you want that you have on your Must Haves, ORDER it!

Sold out of gray and red already!! I gifted the original one but didn't get one for myself and I'm dying for one!!!
Tiffany {A Touch of Grace} says
There are so many things I have to say about this post!!! #1, the fringe scarf looks like it's sold out in red and grey. I only see white and black left 🙁
#2 Your first pin-spired outfit is adorable. Love that tunic! I got it in grey for my mom for Christmas and she loves it! #3, the blardigan is the greatest piece of clothing every made by man. I love mine! And I think I may get it in cocoa as well. You can't have too many blardigans in your closet (can I get an amen?!)
#4, the grey collar draped cardigan at goodnight macaroon is perfection. I can already picture myself in it. And finally #5, my heart did a little flutter when I saw that shearling moto jacket. OMG I need it on my body right now!

Love your pin-spired look, Sheaffer! Just curious…with the new Bachelor starting this Monday, are you going to do re-caps again? They are my favorite and I'm sure there will be a ton of drama with Juan Pablo! Keep up the great work and have a fabulous weekend!!
Andrea says
My Vigoss clean cuffed jeans came in the mail today. I was a little concerned about the size since I didn't size up so I tried them on immediately. They are amazing! When I showed them to my teenage daughter, she said "this is just like the 30 Rock episode where Liz Lemon gets those hot jeans that make her butt look so good!" Sold!!!!!!
SarahN says
My Vigoss jeans came in the mail today too! They are A.Ma.Zing! I'm mad it took me this long to get them but I'm so happy I finally did! Also – black-grey-brown is my absolute favorite color combo. Loved your outfits today!
Jenna Watley says
I really love that fringe scarf! I'm seriously debating it, but saw they are sold out of the red already! Thanks for the great "pin-spiration" and for hosting such a fun link-up! 🙂

Just wondering, do you have the Nordstrom credit card or the debit card? If you have the debit card, do you need a pin number? I plan to sign up for a card but am on the fence whether I should do credit or debit… Any thoughts?
Sheaffer says
Hi there! I have the Nordstrom Visa, which means I can use it anywhere. LOVE the convenience of having 1 card. I got rid of my other credit card when I opened this one. Hope this helps!
xoxo,
Sheaffer 🙂

So I have FINALLY talked myself into buying a blardigan! I know, I know – what has taken me so long?! I really like the gray ombre one that you have, but am tempted to buy a solid color because I'm clueless as to what to pair the ombre one with! Can you wear it with more than just solid colored tops?! HELP! I can't wait to experience the blardigan!!
PurseONality says
Hi Shaeffer! I love following your blog! You have such great ideas, tips and advice!
Your outfit and accessory advice is so helpful I was wondering if you have any advice for choosing a handbag? I am looking for a perfect everyday bag.
Kelly says
This is my first Pin-Spired link up! Thanks for always giving inspiration! I have bought a few of your must haves and love them! especially Hue leggings and fringe scarf! Thinking about Blardigan… there is a similar sweater at Anthro that I have debated getting instead…. decisions!
Crystal D says
Hi Sheaffer! I've been reading your blog for months and love it. I appreciate the common-sense fashion tips. (Sometimes magazines and runway fashion is a little to out-there for a normal person!) I work full time, but live much farther north than Texas. My request… can you give advice on work attire that doesn't expose tons of skin/ ankles. I love booties and flats, but my poor feet and legs freeze in them. Would you wear boots every day? On days that it is cold, I struggle to find wardrobe that is trendy and warm.
Thanks!
Crystal

Broke down and bought the blardigan today. Went to Nordies to try it on as I'm only 5'1" on a tall day. It is perfect and I love it!!! I got the amethyst color and it's so pretty and goes perfectly with the fringe scarf in dusty pink. I'm so smitten, I already want another color 🙂
DetroitDuchess says
I love your Pinspired look! I never would have thought of putting those colors together like that. It looked so nice!
mel @ the larson lingo says
LOVE, LOVE, LOVE gray, black & brown. I have been wearing so much of that combo this Fall/Winter!
Hooray for 2014!
Ginny says
Add me to the list of Blardigan fans. Mine just arrived today, and it is by far the most comfortable, soft and warm cardigan I have ever owned. I'm 5'4, and and very short waisted…the s/m fits perfectly.
Also, I too love black/grey/brown combos. I've been doing this for a long time, and I'm happy to see more people like that combination!
lilyv says
Ok – so my cocoa blardigan came today – I opened the package and pulled it out and it was freezing cold from being on the UPS truck. I didn't care, I put it on and immediately understood why all the love. It is the most comfortable piece of clothing I have ever put on. It's totally worth the $90 and I am now firmly a member of the blardigan club!
April Cenora says
I want to be a part of the blardigan club to badly! I think I need to see it in person to be sold. I love all of the outfits that you put together and have purchased multiple pairs of the HUE leggings and the waffle scarf. I even gifted a pair of leggings and she loves them!
