Hello, Ladies!
Well, we are half way through Spring Break now, and it’s that time when I’m already starting to get sad that it’s about to be over. Do y’all do that too? I start panicking that we only have 5 more days…then 4 more days…then 3…you get the idea. But I’m going to do my best to live in the moment and not get wrapped up in the fact that it’s almost over! We’ve still got plenty of days left to pack full of relaxation and fun!
I’ve planned 5 outfits for today’s post to help us all get ready for warmer weather, and I had an absolute blast putting them together. I own several of the pieces seen in the collages below, and the collages inspired me to buy some new pieces as well. The olive blouse and white jeans in outfit #2 are both on their way to me as is the rust blouse in outfit #3.
Let’s get started!
OUTFIT #1
Y’all know these leggings in black are what I named a MUST HAVE back in November. They are so stretchy, so comfy, and SO INCREDIBLY SOFT. And get this, THEY HAVE POCKETS. They fit like leggings, but they are styled like a jogger, and I absolutely love them. In fact, I got two pairs of the black (that are more like a really dark grey) so I would always have a pair to wear when one was in the laundry. Because they are just that good.
So getting this new pink color was a no brainer for me.
For this look I paired them with a white long sleeve tee and a great neutral sneaker, and I thought the floral gym bag was so pretty (and just under $40!).
I own both the earrings and the necklace and think both are awesome. The earrings are so dainty, and they somehow manage to be a little big edgy too! I love wearing them, and even though they are so small, I’ve received several compliments on them.

UPDATE: While surfing Facebook Wednesday morning, these Tretorn sneakers popped up as a sponsored ad. They are at Nordstrom Rack right now! Regularly $125, ONLY $59.97 right now! Reviewers say true to size and SO COMFY! And they are PERFECT for the outfit above! They’re not gym shoes, but they are definitely look adorable while running around town shoes.
OUTFIT #2
First of all, I love the neutral palette of this outfit. Nothing but olive, white, browns, and golds. How pretty will this look be with a tan! Oh, and then a pretty floral bandana to top it all off.
I think this outfit is just so classic. I ordered the blouse and the white jeans for myself, so I’ll be showing the pieces after they arrive. I own the earrings, the necklace, the sunglasses, and the bag and highly recommend them all. And the beaded hoop earrings are 25% OFF today! Mine are the vintage gold.

OUTFIT #3
This outfit is SO ME. I love a flowy and breezy top with denim shorts, and this shirt checks all the boxes! And the blouse is 40% OFF today with the code OMG!!! Plus, these shorts are my favorite cut offs I’ve ever owned. I think this is my 3rd year with these shorts, and I know without a doubt they will still be my most worn shorts of the summer. This year I was also able to grab them in the bleached maritime wash (although almost sold out now) and the distressed and faded black pair.
I personally own and love the sunglasses, and they are 2 for only $20 on Amazon! The straw tote is from Target and I think the handle is so chic!

OUTFIT #4
With lots of people I follow on instagram at the beach right now, I was inspired to start looking around for swimsuits and cover ups! HOW DARLING is this strapless floral number. I have a J Crew swimsuit with this exact fit from last year (it was blue and white seersucker) and I love it. It’s comfy, it stays up, it hides a multitude of sins (thank you to the ruching across the tummy), and it has a detachable strap.
I thought it would look great with a plain white cover up and some hot pink flip flops, and I was right! The teal lucite bracelet is perfect for the beach or pool, the large straw tote is from Target and only $40, and I wanted to remind y’all that the Supergoop Glow Screen is my GO TO face sunscreen/foundation for summer. Sometimes I wear it on it’s own, and sometimes I wear it under my Magic Cream and Bronzing Drops (used to be called Sunshine Drops) combo.

OUTFIT #5
I saw this sassy black swimsuit with STELLAR reviews and I couldn’t resist creating an entire look around it. I love the low cut legs, the full coverage back, the adjustable straps, and the pretty ruffles. I love it all. I think it looks amazing paired with this vibrant cover up, gold jewelry and sandals, and fun turquoise fringe earrings that are 25% OFF today! The black straw tote ties it all together!
And now that it’s warming up in my neck of the woods, I’ve already broken out my favorite sunless tanner a couple of times. You apply it with a mitt, and you can see the color go on, which allows you to apply it evenly without any trouble. And if you do miss a spot, just simply fill it in when you notice it. The color is a pretty bronzy brown (it’s not orange at all) and gives me so much confidence when showing my arms and legs.

That’s it for today, y’all. Hope you got some inspiration today and are starting to get excited for dressing for warm weather! I know I am!

Do you find that JCrew swimsuits tend to run small?
Sheaffer says
Hi, friend! YES. I typically wear size 4 jeans and I typically order J Crew suits in size 8. Hope this helps! xoxo

The last time I used a self-tanner (during high school in the 80’s) you could definitely tell when someone applied it… first clue was the distinct smell even hours later and the second was the gorgeous streaky orange color. I’ve been wanting to try to self tanning again since I spend so much time outside in the summer. Your color looks so natural! I don’t mind if my legs get a bit messed up in the process, especially since it’s still cold here and not shorts weather for a while. But I’m nervous about my face looking unnatural.
Sheaffer says
Hi, Sandi! I do not use this product on my face. For my face, I use Isle of Paradise tanning drops (that you mix with your face moisturizer). I get them at Sephora! I get them medium shade and put about 3 drops in the moisturizer. After you get used to that color, you can use more drops if you want to deepen the color. Hope this helps! xoxo
