Happy Wednesday! It’s time for everybody to join up today with Shay and me and let us know WHAT’S UP with you this fine Wednesday!

WHAT WE’VE BEEN UP TO
For those of you that don’t live around here, we had an ice storm over the weekend. On Saturday, they went ahead and called off school for Monday. And on Sunday, they went ahead and called off Tuesday. And then Tuesday afternoon we got called off for Wednesday. To be honest, I’m not even sure if we’ll go on Thursday. Things keep melting off a bit during the day, but then it all refreezes overnight.
Since we had a heads up on the ice storm earlier in the week, Chris headed to the ranch for the day to turn off the water and do other things to protect the house during the storm. He brought the Ranger back, and it’s definitely come in handy with all this ice. The fam drove around in it Saturday night, and I grabbed this picture of Carter when we got home. It was 11:00 p.m. at night and look how bright it was!
Carter and his friends spent hours sledding on a neighborhood hill both Saturday and Sunday, but no moms were around, so there’s no picture evidence. Haha!

Charlie wasn’t sure what to think, but he went with it.

WHAT IS ON SALE
* There are some NEW MARKDOWNS at Nordstrom! Click HERE to see them all.
If you’re a lover of Mother jeans, this pair is perfect for spring!

* Colleen Rothschild is having a HUGE SALE on a really big selection of products. Click HERE to see everything on sale. My Top 2 recommendations from the sale are the following:
Dual Enzyme Polish — $27.50 → regularly $55.00 (that’s 50% off right now!)
My absolute favorite new routine right now is to wash my face at night before I get in the shower (with the balm) and then I rub the Dual Enzyme Polish in circulation motions all over my face. It’s grainy and gently exfoliates LIKE A DREAM. Then I hop in the shower with it on. I leave it on during the shower, and then at the end of the shower, I do a little more circular rubbing and then splash water all over my face to get it all off. Pat your skin dry and YOUR SKIN WILL BE STUPID SOFT and feel incredibly soft and clean. It’s such a treat.

Face Oil #9 — $59.50 → regularly $85.00 (that’s 30% off right now!)
The Face Oil #9 is a product that I absolutely cannot live without. Like I would absolutely freak out if they ever discontinued it. If you’ve never tried it, you really need to! I’ve given it as a gift several times, and everybody that I’ve ever given it to is now a devoted user.
When I first started using it years and years ago I only used it at night, but now I use it in the morning too. I just mix it with my moisturizer and my skin absolutely drinks it up. YOU WILL LOVE IT. It is a must have product for me for sure.
Colleen touts it as the ultimate in skin luxury, and I have to agree. It improves radiance. RADIANCE!

WHAT WE ARE EATING
We’ve been iced in since Saturday morning, but don’t you worry… I had two separate Walmart deliveries and ran by both Trader Joe’s and Market Street to make sure we had plenty of yummy food to get us through.
Our meals during our days at home have included the following:
*steak, twice baked potatoes, and roasted green beans
*Mississippi roast with carrots, potatoes, and leftover roasted green beans
*Chili
*birria tacos (I take the leftover roast and season it with birria seasoning. Then we pile the meat in corn tortillas with pepperjack cheese, finely chopped purple onion, and avocado. YUMMY.)
*smashburgers

WHAT I’M WEARING
So since we’ve been iced in since Saturday, I’ve only been wearing Vuori, Zella, and my favorite Walmart pajamas.
But I did order a ton of stuff before the ice storm, and a handful of items did come in before everything shut down.
Let’s see what I got…
February is just around the corner, and I’m totally dying over this fair isle heart sweater. It’s a beautiful soft pink with vibrant red accents, and it combines hearts and bows in the most adorable fair isle pattern. And look at the little hearts around the sleeves and the hem! For size reference, I’m wearing a medium, but I think I would prefer a small in this one.
NOW LADIES… THESE JEANS. They are so SO good. They fit like a glove… but like a really comfy and stretchy glove that still has some structure to it. I think they are super flattering, and I’m so glad I took a chance on this to new (to me) brand. Thanks for the suggestion, Conner! #connertoldmeto
They run true to size. I’m wearing a 27.

This striped sweatshirt is going to be a closet staple for me. It’s got an oversized slouchy fit, and I love it. This one is a creamy ivory with a navy stripe, but it also comes in a navy with a white stripe. It’s really soft and it has a little bit of stretch (which is awesome). For size reference, I’m wearing the medium. The small would definitely fit too, but I liked this fit.

I love a short sleeve sweater. Always have, always will. They are the just so versatile! Great on their own all the way through spring, but also great to layer under jackets.
It comes in a “vanilla white” too, but I couldn’t resist this gorgeous “tulip red” color. It’s a tiny bit of a boxy fit, but it’s not too boxy at all. The sleeve length goes down to the elbow, which I love. For size reference, I’m wearing a small.

This cropped jacket is fabulous. Like seriously fabulous.
It’s made from a performance fabric that has a water-resistant finish, but I’m telling you it looks and feels like a lightweight and super soft leather. It’s beautifully made, and it looks very expensive and totally luxe. The cropped silhouette is so fun (hits mid-hip), and it’s got a swingy little fit. Pleated details across the shoulders, the back, and the cuffs are so pretty and feminine. And y’all know I love the stand-up collar. Ooh! And the tortoise shell buttons are a great touch too.
For size reference, I took the online advice and ordered 1 size down and it was perfect. I’m wearing a small.

WHAT I’M REMINISCING ABOUT
We went to my parent’s house last weekend, and they had a picture of Chris in a frame that I hadn’t seen in awhile. The moment I saw it, I thought about the picture above.
I think Chris was about 24 in that pic.
