Happy Monday, everybody! I hope everybody enjoyed the Justin Timberlake concert (man, that boy can dance!), the commercials (Eli Manning freaking won the internet with his Patrick Swayze moves), and the yummy snacks yesterday! I heard there was football too, but I wouldn’t know much about that. 😉 We were supposed to go to a party, but that fell through, so we opted just to stay at home. (It was just as well, because mama tried a new product and I have a bit of a rash on my face. Boo.) And purely FYI, we are still eating super healthy over here, so we literally had NO FUN SNACKS and for dinner we had tilapia and veggies. THAT’S WHAT YOU CALL DEDICATION, PEOPLE. #imissqueso
And by the way, I’m still recovering from This is Us last night. I BAWLED MY FACE OFF. That show rips my heart out just about every episode, but it also manages to bring me great joy. And my goodness it surprises me.
So what’s up for today?
Well, I have 4 awesome tops to show you! 4 tops that are great to wear now and all the way into Spring.
First up is the striped sweater I showed on social media over the weekend. The site describes it as a tee, but I think it’s much closer to a light weight sweater. It comes in this color combo, and a great black and grey stripe too. AND IT’S ONLY $39.
I showed it over the weekend because it was all over Instagram, and I was afraid it was going to sell out before today. I’m hoping for a restock soon, because the color combo below is already selling out. (I’ll be sure to let y’all know if I see a restock.)
As far as sizing goes, I got the small. It says the small is a 0-2…and I’m NOT a 0-2, so I would say ignore the numbers and just go with your regular small, medium, or large!

And here I am in the outfit!
I’m doing a 1/2 tuck here, but it’s got a rounded hem and is quite flattering worn out as well.
Concerning the jeans, I had a reader ask if the slit in the jeans was bothering me, and the answer is “yes, it totally is.” However, I have to stop wearing them to take them in to get patched, and I haven’t stopped wearing them yet. So there’s that. 😉 I’m wearing a 27 in the jeans, so they are true to size. The booties are true to size as well and ON SALE!

This next top comes in 11 total color combinations, but I was a sucker for this light blush. I’m pretty much always a sucker for blush, but I was drawn to it especially during this month o’ love. 😉

I’m wearing a small in the tee, and it’s definitely an oversized fit. If you don’t have a large chest, you might want to consider sizing down.
When it came time to actually wear the outfit I planned above, I mixed it up just a bit. I got these awesome pink sequin earrings, and I was wearing my circle charm necklace (because I rarely take it off).

I think it’s a great casual look.
Also, I just got the navy Shoreline Converse, and I know we are going to live a long and happy life together. I size down in regular Converse, but in shoreline Converse I go with my typical size. (Just FYI, I ruined my white Converse at the end of summer. I tried to bleach them, and I did something wrong. It was a sad day, but I decided to replace them with navy!) They look great with denim jeans, white jeans, grey jeans, and I know I’ll wear them constantly with denim shorts as well!

This tee is DARLING. DARLING, I SAY. And how cute is it with my new navy Converse?!? #theanswerisreallycute
The tee also comes in grey, and you can get 30% OFF right now with the code xoxo.

I think I’ll be wearing this to Carter’s Valentine’s Day party at school. If it’s cool that day, I’ll throw a cardi on over it!
It will be great all year long (I’ll definitely be wearing it with cut-offs in the summer), but it’s especially awesome for February because of it’s message! It’s incredibly soft and fits just right. I sized up to a medium for a little more room in the chest.
And I think the pink sequin earrings add just the right amount of whimsy!

Next, I switched it up for a little bit dressier of a look. I switched out my Converse for heeled booties, I switched out the pink sequin earrings for my new favorite circle hoops, and I added a leopard belt. A leopard belt is almost always a good idea. 😉

And my final look today is one you already saw this weekend if you follow me on social media. I just couldn’t wait to show you until today because I was afraid the top might sell out! I showed this top with leggings on Friday and loved it, but I think I love it even more with a 1/2 tuck and jeans!
And I have to say, I feel a little edgy with the bralette peeking out!
thermal swing top / lace bralette / $12 necklace / earrings / high wasted jeans / similar booties
For size reference, I’m wearing a small in the top. HOWEVER, I want to see how the x-small fits, so I ordered that one too. I love how the small is long enough for leggings (as you saw on Friday’s post), but I think the x-small might be long enough as well….and I want to see if a smaller size might be better overall for my 5’4″ frame. If you are planning on only wearing it with jeans, I would recommend to DEFINITELY size down at least 1 size.
The sleeves have thumb holes (which I love), and it has a great swing fit. The neck is wide, so I think it’s best worn with a lace bralette peeking out. On Friday’s post, I shared that although I loved the look of the bralette, it didn’t have nearly enough support for me…so I asked for bralette recommendations.
I got some tips that the Target bralettes and the Soma bralettes are awesome, but I also got a recommendation that BLEW. MY. MIND. I had a reader tell me to wear my regular strapless bra under the bralette I already had. I MEAN. It’s sooooo simple, but I never would have thought of that myself. #genius
I did it and it worked perfectly! I’m so happy I was given the tip, because I really like the cut of this particular bralette. As you can see on the picture below, the lace straps angle in towards the neck, which is very flattering.

And just in case you are new around these parts, we need to take a second to talk about the best strapless bra EVER. Like in the history of the world EVER. Since we are about to head into Spring and Summer, you need to add this baby to your closet if you don’t already have it.
If you need a strapless, look no further. Even if you already have one and don’t think you need one, I would like to respectfully disagree. 😉 You won’t believe how this strapless stays put. You will seriously wear it and not even want to rip it off at the end of your event. You might even wear it on days where you don’t have to wear a strapless bra! I know that sounds crazy, BUT I’M NOT EVEN KIDDING. Click HERE for a version by the same maker (that readers have recommended to me) for those with a smaller bust.
All right. One more thing before you leave. Have y’all seen these sneakers? I wasn’t sure about them the first time I saw them, but they are definitely growing on me. I went to facebook to see y’alls thoughts, and man…these babies are polarizing! Seems as if people love them or hate them, but lots of you already have them and love them! AND they have excellent reviews online. If you want to see what my readers had to say about them, click HERE. If you want to check out the shoes for yourself, click HERE.
All right…that’s it for today, friends! Now, go out and OWN Monday. 🙂
