A portion of today’s post is sponsored by Nordstrom and ShopStyle.
Happy Wednesday, Everybody! It’s time to join up today with me and Shay to let everybody know WHAT’S UP with you this fine Wednesday!
Let’s get right to it!
*WHAT WE ARE EATING*
We aren’t eating anything exciting over here. Steaks, burgers, grilled chicken, fish, tacos, salad, repeat.
However… I met girlfriends for dinner last week at The Yard, and I just had to grab a picture of our appetizers. Those are goat cheese stuffed peppers (YUM!) and something they call the picnic platter. The platter has pimento cheese, hard boiled eggs with a balsamic drizzle, spiced mixed nuts, sausage, salami, grainy mustard, pickled onions, and some big crackers on the side. I was a BIG OL’ FAN.
And the drinks? That’s mine on the bottom left. Frose with a fresh strawberry garnish. #yesplease
*WHAT I’M REMINISCING ABOUT*
If you follow me on social media, then you saw me post this picture on Saturday. And I shall post it every Easter weekend from now until the end of time. This little bunny was 7 months old and so adorable. I would give thousands of dollars to have this little guy back for like 24 hours. He was such a cuddle bug. Just look at his bright little eyes and those cheeks!
And now for a picture of my furry kids. Look at these two ding dongs! Charlie has always loved having his belly scratched, so he will roll over and look at you with the sweetest little puppy dog eyes you’ve ever seen. Buddy has recently started doing it on occasion too.
I can’t believe these guys turn 2 next month!
If you’re new here or just in need of some serious cuteness, click HERE to see the post where I announced that we got 2 pups (instead of just the 1 we had originally planned on). The post also has a link to a video where we told Carter that he got to pick out another pup. I tear up every single time I watch it. It’s one of my very favorite moments of my life.
*WHAT I’M LOVING*
If you’ve been following along for awhile, you know that being cozy when I’m lounging at home with my people is EXTREMELY important to me. I take it very seriously. #seriously
When Nordstrom reached out to see if I wanted to talk about pajamas, I couldn’t sign on fast enough. I ordered several new pajamas to try out and share with y’all, and I’m sharing my favorites today, along with an old favorite.
Let’s start out with this set that is incredibly cute, and even softer than it is cute. As I often do, I sized up to a medium in these. Mama doesn’t mess around with too tight pajamas. Life is too short.
I’ve only had these a week, but they’ve quickly become my very favorite. Even though they are pants and long sleeves, they somehow don’t make me too hot. They just keep me cozy! They are very lightweight, extremely comfy, and I even think they are flattering. My pajamas don’t have to be flattering, but it certainly is a bonus when they are. I haven’t washed these yet, so I can’t comment on how they launder.
pajama top / pajama bottom (It also comes in plus size! plus size pajama top / plus size pajama bottom )
Here’s a close up of the pajama bottoms.
Here I am with Buddy last weekend. Just lounging around.
This is a set that I’ve owned for awhile. This is actually an old color that’s not available anymore, but there are 4 colorways that are still available, and of course the stripes are my favorite.
And yes, I sized up to a medium again, but the small does actually fit me in these.
This set is AMAZING. It has 599 near perfect reviews.
And although I’m in love with the pants set above and prefer to lounge around the house with long pants on a chilly morning or night, I prefer to sleep in shorts. Too much material on my legs makes me crazy. #doesthatmakemeweird? I’ve washed this set many times, and it still looks awesome.
I’m not a robe person, but I know lots of you are, because I get requests for robe recommendations pretty frequently. I’ve heard that this is the best plush robe out there, but I’ve never tried it myself.
I decided to try a short and light robe for the spring and summer months, and I landed on this one! I do think that I will start wearing it when I’m drying my hair or putting on my makeup. I love the pretty floral pattern, but if you prefer a nightgown or pajamas in the same pattern, you can click HERE.
This lounge jumpsuit is kind of out of the box for me, but I’m so glad I tried it. And it just went 50% OFF!
The idea of lounging around in a jumpsuit was weird for me at first (because yes, you do have to pull it all the way down to use the restroom), but I found that it’s worth it. It’s a soft jersey material and feels so luxurious on. It’s incredibly soft and cozy, but the waistline and tie sleeves make it cute too!
For those of you mamas of littles that are nursing, the buttons are functional and it’s nursing friendly!
Below you will find pics of all the pjs I highlighted above, just click on what you are interested in:
And some lovely ladies at ban.do sent me this precious striped pajama set along with the neck pillow and the accessories case! They even monogrammed the top for me (which you can have done for yourself at Nordstrom as well)!

Here are some other pajamas I’ve been eyeing:
And you know I think that these are the best lounge wear items IN THE HISTORY OF EVER. If you don’t have one, save up and get one. I promise you they are worth EVERY PENNY. I have worn one almost every day for like 5 years. And if your mom doesn’t have one, grab her one for Mother’s Day. They make THE ABSOLUTE BEST gifts.
*WHAT I’VE BEEN UP TO*
Just same old, same old around here. Nothing of note really!
*WHAT I’M DOING THIS WEEKEND*
I hope that Carter finally gets to play soccer this weekend! We’ve had several games cancelled due to rain, and the little guy is ready to play!
*WHAT I’M EXCITED ABOUT*
The new Gibson collection with Living In Yellow!
This DARLING jumpsuit went live yesterday morning.
Get it NOW, because it will definitely sell out! It’s a great ponte knit, and I LOVE THE FIT. I mean, it makes me feel taller and skinnier than I’ve ever felt in my life! #FORREAL
It is effortlessly chic, and I cannot wait to wear it. It feels like luxurious pajamas. I’m telling you, it’s AMAZING. It’s stretchy, comfy, has an elastic waist, AND POCKETS!
I’m wearing a medium because I ordered up to make sure I had plenty of room in the chest. I need to get it hemmed, but I didn’t want to get the petite and have it be too short. I’m 5’4″ and wearing really tall wedges! (If you don’t need extra room in the chest, I wouldn’t size up. Just stick with your regular size.)
And now that we are heading into off the shoulder and spaghetti strap season, go ahead and get this strapless bra. I’ve talked about it on the blog countless times, but it will change how you feel about strapless bras. It’s so comfy, I don’t have to pull it up, and I sometimes wear it even when a strapless isn’t required. IT’S THAT GOOD.

I’m totally smitten with this dress from the collection. I’m in a medium because that is what Gibson had available to send me. It’s a little big, but I love it so much that I jumped online yesterday and ordered this print and the solid green for myself in a Medium petite. I’m thinking the petite medium will leave me plenty of room in the chest, and it will be a bit shorter, which I prefer.
The dress is fully lined and beautifully made. Perfect for church, showers, graduation, etc.

The cut of this blouse is great and has lots of wonderful feminine details such as the split neck, the tiny ruffles at the collar, and the sweet little pleats on the shoulders and back. I was initially drawn to the vibrant color, and it comes in 3 other colorways as well. I am wearing a medium, but I need a small.
It has paper bag shorts that go with it too, but they just didn’t fit me right. I needed a medium to fit my waist, but then they were too big everywhere else. I was so sad because I thought the matching set was too cute for words!
Still, I thought the top was great with white jeans. To see this bag in another outfit, click HERE.

*WHAT I’M WORKING ON*
I’m SO EXCITED about Monday’s post. I teased this a bit on Monday, but I’m going to have some bag straps and an awesome code! I took lots of pics today of several different outfits with several different bag straps! GET READY and GET EXCITED!
*WHAT I’M WEARING*
You saw this cardi the first time in my bags and bandanas post, and I can’t stop wearing it. And yes, I’m wearing the jeans again too. #thisisanojudgementzone
I’m wearing a medium in the tee, a small in the cardi, a 27 in the jeans, and the sandals are true to size as well. If you want to see the cardi styled with a white tee and my pointy toe leopard flats, click HERE and scroll to the bottom of the post.

I put this picture on social media last week, but I wanted to make sure it made it to the blog too. You saw this same shirt and pair of jeans styled 2 ways in a photo shoot a couple of weeks ago, but I know some of you prefer the selfies! Here you go!
leopard button up / fringe earrings / $16 sunglasses / jeans / cross body bag/ blush-coral bracelets / green bracelets / must have wedges
I ALSO WANTED TO SHOW YOU A FAVORITE FROM LAST YEAR THAT IS BACK IN STOCK!
This outfit made me happy. Really happy, apparently (see pic below). Ha! Side note: Chris told me I looked a little bit crazy in this picture, and he thought I probably shouldn’t post it. #whatever #thedressandshoesmakemehappy #yourenotthebossofme
I’m wearing a petite small here, and I’m 5’4″.
t shirt shift dress / similar cross body bag / shoreline converse / my favorite no show socks
*WHAT I’M LOOKING FORWARD TO*
It’s time to register for the Manda Strong Golf Tournament! I volunteered last year and had a great time, and I’ll be there this year too!
The fee is $100 per player or $400 per 4 player team. Click HERE to register, and click HERE to meet some of the local moms that the Manda Strong Foundation is supporting. They are doing GREAT things for these sweet mamas.
A huge thank you to Nordstrom and ShopStyle for sponsoring the pajama portion of this post.

When I saw you write “the new Gibson Collection Living in Yellow” I stopped scrolling and immediately clicked the link and ordered a few of the Gibson items. I had to step away from my computer for a minute and when I came back to check out the dress I wanted so badly was sold out. WAAAHHHH!!!!! Imagine my surprise when I came back to finish reading your post AND you were wearing the VERY dress and in my size. I’d happily purchase yours AND pay for the shipping. :oD I’m not one to shy away from groveling. LOL
Sheaffer says
Hi, Karen! The petite medium is supposed to arrive to me today! If that size works for me, I’m sure we can work something out! E-mail me at pinteresttoldmeto@yahoo.com 🙂

Thank you for highlighting items for nursing mamas! That is the story of my life ALL NIGHT LONG. The pajama jumpsuit is darling.
Betsy says
This isn’t about this post but I have to tell you I love so many of your recommendations but I was confused by the shoreline converse and thought I was nuts because mine were SOOOO uncomfortable but everyone else loves them. I was ready to give up on them and then all of a sudden they loosened up and now they are AWESOME! Have you ever had this problem with them before? It was like they knew they had one last chance!
Sheaffer says
Hey, Betsy! I don’t remember ever having that problem, but I’m sure glad they came thru for you at the last second! 🙂 Laughing so hard! xoxo
Brittney says
Sheaffer, what size are you wearing in the lounge jumpsuit? I tried to go back and read it several times…I hope I am not overlooking it! Thank you!
Sheaffer says
Hi, Brittney! It’s a medium! I always size up in pajamas! 🙂 xoxo
