WHAT WE ARE EATING
Nothing new. Just the same old same old over here, and I’m over it. Haha!
This is all I’ve got for you today…
I bought a package of 3 veggie kabobs from Market Street. We usually grill them, but since it’s like 137 degrees outside, I just pulled everything off the skewers, cut everything into smaller pieces, and sauteed it all up in some olive oil.

The Market Street kabobs have zucchini, squash, mushrooms, green peppers, red peppers, purple onion, white onion, and pineapple.
I served this little veggie hash with rice and teriyaki salmon. YUM!

Now these are from Walmart, and I’m going to put these in my next Walmart order to try them out, but I do think I’ll miss the pineapple that are in the Market Street ones.

WHAT I’M WORKING ON
Y’all. I’m not working on anything. I’m kind of mourning the end of summer over here and trying to really soak up what’s left. That means the blog is taking a bit of a back seat right now. I’ve got Friday’s post figured out, but I’m not sure yet about Monday’s. I’m hoping to be inspired soon. 😉

WHAT I’M REMINISCING ABOUT
Earlier this month Chris and I celebrated our 25th anniversary! And since we dated for 7 years before we got married (we met our junior year of high school), we’ve actually been together for 32 years. #letsactlikeiwasachildbride
I loved every second of our wedding and reception and wouldn’t change a thing about the night. The ceremony was so sacred, and we truly felt married before God. Something else that was special is that we were married in the same church that Chris’s parents were married in!
I love looking back at pictures. I took some pics with my phone of the pics in our wedding album, so the quality isn’t great, but I still thought it would be fun to take a walk down memory lane. I’m not sure if I’ve ever shared the pics on the blog before (maybe I have?), so enjoy!

Me and my girls 🙂

The whole crew.

And this is one of my favorite pics of the night!!! We got married two years after we graduated college, but so many of our college friends from OU came to Dallas for the wedding. What a night! Goodness I miss these people.

WHAT WE’VE BEEN UP TO
The weekend after July 4th we headed right back to the ranch for the annual Sims family reunion. It’s always a good time catching up with everybody, and this year was no different. I did manage to snap a handful of pics on Friday evening before heading out to the first of the festivities, but that was it for the pics for the rest of the weekend. I’m at least glad I have these from Friday!
Sweet cousins. Aren’t they the cutest?!?
Carter (17), Eliah (almost 10), Shawn (4)

And you know I had to grab one with Carter and Charlie.
I would like to ask all of you HOW IN THE WORLD is this boy about to start his senior year???!!! And he turns 18 in just a little over a month.

And since I figured I would get some questions about Carter’s outfit, I convinced him to let me grab one solo pic. 😉 He looks thrilled, right? Haha!
J Crew Factory has definitely become one of our GO TO stores for him right now.

WHAT I’M EXCITED ABOUT
When I changed affiliate networks earlier this year, I was excited to find out that the new network had a program where companies were encouraged to connect directly with creators and offer gifting opportunities. I was excited about the potential, but I didn’t really know exactly what it was going to look like. WELL. Several months in, I can tell you that it is better than I could have imagined.
Several times a week I receive a message from a company asking if I want to try something from their brand.
Now, I don’t always accept the gifting because it’s not always something that I’m interested in trying, but some stuff I’m super excited to try!
And I can honestly say that some of the recent PR packages I’ve received have been things that I’ve absolutely fallen in love with! (Some – not so much… but that’s the beauty of gifted product… there’s no obligation to talk about anything!) So anyway, y’all can be assured that I’ll only be highlighting things that I absolutely LOVE.)
So, today I’m going to highlight a handful of items that I’ve seriously fallen in love with.
Like this makeup bag! First of all, it’s adorable.

This bag holds everything I use to get ready in the morning (+ extras)!
I know it’s a travel bag, but I have actually started just leaving it packed and sitting out on my bathroom counter at home.
I love how all of the compartments keep everything super organized, but still visible. I have a system for where I put everything, so I know exactly where to reach when I need something. There’s so much room in the middle, and I think it’s great how the products stand up on their own and are all super easy to access.

SERIOUSLY. Look how much it holds. And there’s actually room for quite a bit more.

This is apparently a limited-edition collaboration, and once it’s gone it’s gone.

Another gifted product that I’m now straight up obsessed with is the tanning water from Salty Face.
The face set includes their tanning water and the application brush. And I’m telling you, it gives me a natural color that’s “just enough”. You apply the tanning water directly to your brush and blend it evenly into your face. Make sure you blend it into your hairline, down your neck, and down your chest. You will LOVE the results.
This is a product that I will be using all year long.
I was trying to figure out a way to describe exactly WHY I’m loving it so much….
This is what I came up with…
My face just looks better with it.
How’s that for a glowing endorsement! 🙂

This brand also sent me a dry shampoo, but I didn’t really care for it. (To be honest, I don’t think I’ve ever found a dry shampoo that I really like. Even if I think I like it at first, I end up not liking it.)
But this Heat Bounce product is AWESOME. I spray it on after I towel dry my hair, but before I use my dryer on it. It contains both heat protectant and leave-in conditioner, and it’s become a must have product for me.

Check out all the benefits…
protects up to 450 degrees! 85% less breakage after blow drying! softens + detangles even damaged hair! hair feels more moisturized! provides increased manageability!

After receiving gifted product from Lake and Skye, it appears I’m now addicted to their hair and body spray. I’ve only tried the fragrances so far (there are more to choose from), but I’m a huge fan of both.
The scents are lovely, and I’ve been amazed at the staying power they have. I’ve received tons of compliments in real life, and I’ve shared the brand with a bunch of people already, so I knew it was time to share it on the blog!
Use code SHEAFFER15 for 15% OFF if you want to give them a try!

WHAT WE’RE WATCHING
We need a new show, y’all! Please leave me tons of recs!
We’ve probably watched all the true crime documentaries on Facebook that you can think of, but I would love a new series to binge! Help a sister out!

WHAT I’M WEARING / SHOPPING FOR
First, I want to highlight a handful of things I’ve ordered this week. I’ll of course share them on me when I get them in.
I have no doubt this leopard cardigan will be a fall staple for me, and you won’t believe the price! I’ll wear it with regular denim and with faded black denim. It will look cute all buttoned up, or it will look cute worn up with a black or white tee under it. I can casual it up with sneakers, or I can dress it up a bit with booties.
leopard cardigan (you won’t believe the price!)

Catch me wearing this on game day! I’m so excited about it! We’re going to an OU game or two this year as well as an A&M game…. and although I think it’s more crimson than maroon, I feel like I could make it work for both!

This pintuck swing top is going to be perfect for early fall. It will be great with regular denim, cream denim, and maybe even grey denim… but I’ll be wearing it even now with denim shorts.

Y’all. I don’t own a pair of cowboy boots. I KNOW. I was born in Texas, grew up in Dallas, went to college in Oklahoma, then moved straight back to Texas… and yet I’ve never owned them. I saw these have amazing reviews, they’re reasonably priced (for a cowboy boot), and I think they are super cute. What do y’all think?

I couldn’t help myself. I mean, look at the collar! And it’s ON SALE.
I’ve got a NOONDAY code!
Years and years ago I featured some really unique Noonday pieces on the blog, and everybody loved them. I actually kind of forgot about the brand, but then last month I saw some of their unique pieces on the Nordstrom site, and I was quickly reminded how much I loved the brand and their stuff.
Remember this necklace? I wore it in tons of outfits this last month! It’s sadly now sold out at Nordstrom, but I found it on the Noonday site and it says it’s COMING SOON!
poplin bow top / raffia flower earrings / sabrosa necklace (coming soon!) / white denim shorts / bracelet stack / raffia buckle sandals ON SALE

Noonday reached out after they saw me featuring the above necklace and asked if I’d like to check anything else out on their site! I was immediately drawn to the necklace stack and the bracelets below. Aren’t they fabulous?
The code SHEAFFER10 will get you 10% OFF anything on the site, so you definitely need to check it all out.
Their pieces are so fun and unique, but I really love the story behind the brand and the good they do. If you don’t know about their passion and their mission, it’s worth checking out for sure. It’s inspiring!

Here are just 2 more outfits with the Noonday necklace from Nordstrom. And remember, I’ll be sure to let y’all know when it finds its way to the Noonday site.
