WHAT WE ARE EATING
I was having a hard week a couple of weeks ago, and my sweet friend Jeni thought I probably needed a loaf of her homemade sourdough bread. She was right.
Y’all.
Chris was out of town, but Carter and I were both FREAKING OUT. I can’t even put into words how delicious the bread was. Carter had some slathered with butter for an afternoon snack, then again for a late-night snack, and then toasted the next morning. He kept on saying “Mom, you gotta learn how to make this.”
The boys wanted a sample too.
And while the bread was absolutely delicious simply slathered with butter…. I STEPPED UP MY GAME.
Ladies! These sandwiches!
TURKEY/SWISS PANINI: I stacked honey maple turkey, Swiss cheese, mayo, purple onion, and arugula inside the bread. And then listen to this, I buttered the outside of the bread and sprinkled Everything But The Bagel seasoning on it before crisping it up in the pan. Y’ALLLLLLLLLLLLL.
GRILLED CHEESE: This one was so simple and insanely delicious. I used Swiss cheese, thick grated sharp cheddar, and a tiny bit of thick grated mozzarella. DANG it was good.
Jeni has promised to have me over soon to teach me how to make the bread on my own, so I will be sure to document the process when that happens!

WHAT I’M LOVING
The BEST SELLERS SALE is happening at CR right now where you can get 25% OFF lots of their most popular products, including some of my favorites as well like the radiant cleansing balm, the face oil, the glycolic acid peel pads, the age renewal super serum, and the dual enzyme polish!!!! Time to replenish your faves or try something new!
Code: BESTSELLERS
If you’re a real-life friend, you know I can’t stop screaming and shouting about my newfound LOVE and OBSESSION for the Colleen Rothschild Illuminating Tinted Eye Cream, And although it’s not included in the BEST SELLERS SALE, you can always use the code STMT20 for 20% OFF.
It’s really hard to capture how awesome the eye cream is in a picture, but I really love the plumping effect and the brightness it gives to my undereye area. I don’t like concealer and never use it, but I think this eye cream not only does the job of an eye cream, but it also functions a bit like a concealer does…but it doesn’t settle into lines or crepiness, which is why I don’t like or wear concealer.
I highly recommend this product. And remember, use the code STMT20 for 20% OFF!

WHAT WE’VE BEEN UP TO
We’ve spent 2 of the last 3 weekends at the ranch, and both weekends were incredible.
The first time we went was for the last 1/2 of Spring Break, and some friends joined us. The Harris family has twins that are Carter’s friends and a younger brother that loves the ranch too. The boys had the best time. So did the parents. 🙂
We spent an entire afternoon catching fish, they cleaned and fileted them, and then we fried them up that night for a good ol’ fashioned fish fry with homemade French fries too. YUM.
One day, the boys also found a little area on the land where they decided they wanted to build a fort.
I’m going to be honest, we were impressed.
And then we went back to the ranch the next weekend because Chris’s sister came to town for work, and we snuck away again so we could hang with them! #cousins

WHAT I’M REMINISCING ABOUT
This picture popped up on my Facebook memories this week (remember that my personal page was restored, it’s just my business page that is still hacked). When Carter was in 5th grade we headed to the ranch for Spring Break, and the day before we were going to head back to McKinney, the world shut down. We ended up living at the ranch for about 3 months. It was a crazy time for sure, and I know that 2020 was a terrible time for so many people, but we were able to hunker down at the ranch and just hold each other close. I will always look back on those months as a precious time for my family.
And look how little Carter is! How is that just 3 years ago?

WHAT I’M EXCITED ABOUT
If you’re local, I have some wonderful news for you today! I have a friend who started a service that is going to be such a blessing to you and your family.
My DARLING friend Stephanie (she lives in my neighborhood) is a Family Nurse Practitioner, and she started Tribe Wellness + Concierge. Y’all get excited because the days of house calls are back, baby!!! Tribe Wellness + Concierge can provide your family with all sorts of healthcare services, and you will never have to leave the comfort of your own home. Mamas, can you even imagine?!? You won’t have to drag your sick kid (or yourself) to a germ filled doctor’s office anymore!
My family has been using Stephanie for over 3 years now and we absolutely LOVE her and the services she provides. Stephanie has come to our home probably 10x or so in the last several years, which means that none of us have gone to the doctor for a sick visit in over 3 years. She has personally helped us thru strep throat, an ear infection, Covid diagnosis, a urinary tract infection, and the flu (that almost killed me dead last year). She gave me a vitamin shot when I was having trouble kicking the flu, and I was better the next day! One of my favorite things about Stephanie is that although she can of course prescribe needed prescription medications, she is also quite knowledgeable and passionate about homeopathic alternatives if that is something that you are interested in.
Tribe provides services to Dallas, McKinney, Celina, Prosper, Frisco, Plano, Fairview, Allen Lucas, Carrollton, and Richardson. But even if you aren’t in the immediate area, you can book Telehealth appointments from wherever you are!
Click HERE (go ahead and bookmark their site!) to learn all about Stephanie and Melissa. You will be so happy to have everything at your fingertips the next time you have a sick family member. Services they offer include sick visits and well visits (for both adults and children), physicals, telemedicine, IV therapy or injections (for hydration, energy, and/or metabolism), as well as high quality vitamins and supplements that can be delivered directly to you. You can learn about the services they offer, the fees they charge (everything is simple and transparent), and book an appointment HERE.
Proud of you, Stephanie! And I’m so happy to help spread the word about YOU and Tribe!
In addition to bookmarking the site, you can also follow Tribe on Instagram HERE and on Facebook HERE, Both platforms are a great way to have the information readily available when you need it. And get this! All new followers will be entered into a giveaway for 1 FREE House Call or Telemedicine visit! I will announce the winner on Friday.

WHAT I’M WEARING
I can’t stop wearing this sweatshirt. I probably need to stop, BUT I CAN’T. It’s perfect for this time of year.
It’s a bright springy color, it’s got a little bit of warmth, and it’s short sleeved! Seriously, spring perfection.
I really do LOVE a short-sleeved sweatshirt. I have several in my closet, and they are definitely pieces that I reach for often. This one is a relaxed fit and super soft with a sleeve that’s got some length (which I also love). For size reference, I’m wearing a medium, but I think I might prefer a small.

On an unusually warm day, I paired it with denim shorts.
sweatshirt / girlfriend shorts / TB Miller sandals (less expensive Amazon option HERE)
These girlfriend shorts are FABULOUS.
I’m wearing the “light indigo destructed”.
They’re very comfy, have a bit of stretch to them, and a frayed hem. I love both the fit and the overall look. And although I’m wearing them with the frayed hem here, you can also roll them up if you would like. They have a 5″ inseam, which I’ve decided is the inseam length I typically prefer during this stage of my life. 😉 For size reference, I’m wearing a 28 petite. I sized up one, and even though the size 27 fit, I liked the fit of the 28 petite the best.

AND CHECK OUT THE MATCHING SET!
I absolutely love it paired with the sweat shorts.
For size reference, I’m wearing a petite small in the shorts. And remember, I’m wearing a regular medium in the sweatshirt. It’s quite oversized, so a small would definitely be fine. Look how cute it is with my favorite sneakers.

And here it is with my must have white jeans and a denim jacket.

SOME NEW FINDS
I’ve got two new THML tops (a favorite brand) from a favorite boutique to share with y’all today! And I’m going to style each of them with denim shorts, with white jeans, and with pink denim shorts. I want you to see the versatility!
This embroidered babydoll top has a super swingy fit and gorgeous embroidery. It’s 100% cotton and beautifully made. The embroidery combines red, lilac, orange, and a creamy white. I most often wear mediums in tops like this from THML because I find there is very little give through the chest. I’m wearing a medium here, but I definitely need a small. There’s definitely room in the chest for me to size down, and I need it to be a little less wide through the body.
Use the code STMT10 for 10% OFF!

Seriously. Look how pretty!

This ruffle sleeve blouse is also a THML piece, and the triple ruffle sleeve is what makes it special. Each of the three ruffles is piped with a contrasting black material which helps them stand out. The neckline has tiny ruffles as well. It’s still a relaxed fit, but it’s not nearly as roomy as the embroidered blouse above. I’m wearing a medium in this one, and I like the way the medium fits.

Let’s talk about these frayed denim shorts.
They are a 4″ inseam (so not too short, not too long), and a great light to medium wash for spring and summer. And I LOVE the casual vibe the frayed hem provides. For size reference, I’m wearing my regular size 4. They have a bit of stretch to them, so they are quite comfy!

If you want to up the fun factor, check out these pink denim shorts.
ruffle sleeve blouse / purple earrings / pink denim shorts / TB Miller soft sandals (size up a 1/2)
They have a 3″ inseam, so they are definitely short, but I happen to like short. They are stretchy, comfy, and they have a frayed hem too. The hot pink color is so vibrant! For size reference, I’m wearing my regular size 4.
I think they are going to look great with a white tee, some gold jewelry, and a tan! 🙂

Look how cute they are with the embroidered top!

And you know I had to style both tops with white denim as well. These are my MUST HAVE white jeans from last year, and I’m thrilled that they brought them back this year!
My favorite white “jeans” are officially called “ankle skinny pants”. Even though they are called “pants”, I totally think of them as just super soft and awesome white jeans. Now that I see that they aren’t called jeans, I get it, because they are SO DANG SOFT and stretchy….but I really do think of them as jeans and will style them like they are jeans. They are 53% cotton, 29% polyester, 15% rayon, and 3% spandex. I think there must be at least 5% unicorn dust in them too because they’re just that good.
Now, full disclosure, you can see the pockets a bit in them. This is usually a deal breaker for me with white jeans, but for some reason it’s not for me with these jeans. I’ve decided that I actually prefer to see the pockets a bit over having white jeans with fake pockets. I really don’t like the fake pockets, so I’m definitely willing to accept seeing some of the pocket.
They are really stretchy, very slimming, and incredibly comfortable. I love the white button and the little side slits at the ankle. They aren’t see thru, but I of course still recommend wearing nude undies. They actually come in 8 colors, and I predict that some of you will like the fit and comfort so much that you will end up ordering them in at least 1 more color.
I’m wearing a regular size 4, but because of the stretch, I suggest sizing down if between sizes.

I love a colorful top with white denim.

Simple summer dresses are my jam because they are so easy to just throw on and go!
This one is easy, breezy, flattering, and I have no doubt it’s going to be a GO TO dress for me all spring and summer long. For size reference, I’m wearing a small. If you remember, I showed it in white a couple of weeks ago, and it was then that I immediately hopped on and ordered it in black too. This dress would be cute with heels, with wedges, with flat sandals, or even with cowboy boots! It’s a blank slate and can be styled virtually any way you can dream up!
dress / multicolor necklace / purple earrings / TB Miller soft sandals (size up a 1/2)
The white one is lined, so it is very well made. I’m wearing it casually here with flat sandals, but it could easily be dressed up a bit with wedges and jewelry. Again, I’m wearing a small.

Ladies.
This tiered dress is absolutely adorable. It’s 100% cotton, has flutter sleeves, pockets, a tiered skirt, and a split neck. This is the “coral rose”, but it also comes in a light blue, a green floral, and a black floral. The material is lightweight, and the fit and design are very feminine. I’m wearing a medium, and I think I need the room in the chest, although I do wish it was a little less roomy and a little shorter.
And get this….the dress is under $20!

How cute it is styled with this SUNSHINE tote! It has perfect reviews and is under $25.

If you want the look to be a little less beachy, you can pair it with a classic everyday bag.
woven bag (on left) / designer inspired tote (on right)
tiered dress / multicolor teardrop hoop earrings / TB Miller soft sandals (size up a 1/2)
Here are 3 pairs of earrings I grabbed to usher in the new season! I’m wearing the two right ones in the outfits above.

Also, I just ordered this Texas tee this morning! I think it’s DARLING!

WHAT I’VE ORDERED ON AMAZON LATELY
* My front porch needs a refresh, so I ordered this blush forsythia wreath and this white floral wreath! They arrive over the weekend, so I’ll show you next week and I’ll let y’all help me decide which one I keep!
* Do you have a butter crock? If you don’t, GET ONE TODAY. Not tomorrow, not the next day, TODAY. With this crock, you can keep a softened stick of butter fresh and spreadable on your countertop for (at least) a week. It’s a MUST HAVE for my kitchen.
That’s some beautiful butter, y’all.
* I think I’ve only talked about this stain treater once before, but I don’t know why, because it’s one of my favorite products.
You won’t believe the stains this removes. Stubborn stains that I thought would never come out? GONE. POOF.
And if you don’t believe me, maybe you’ll believe the over 30,000 5 STAR reviews. It’s branded like it’s for kid’s stains, but it’s for ALL STAINS, including red wine. It’s a miracle worker.
I ordered my first 3 pack in June of last year, and I’m just now ordering my 2nd 3 pack. I’ve been most impressed with its ability to remove oily and greasy stains. It’s a thing of wonder.
Somehow these next two coverups didn’t make it to my March haul, but it’s only because I ran out of time.
I mean, how boujee is this coverup! This is the “C-Dark Navy”, and it’s gorgeous.
And this is the “ginger flower”. I think it’s FABULOUS. It’s giving Ms. Roper vibes, and I’m here for it.
I also restocked 3 of my most used beauty products, and I ordered the Clarins Depuffing Mask for the first time. I kept hearing beauty bloggers talking about it, and I was finally #influenced. They weren’t lying, y’all. If I wake up puffy, I slather this on and leave it on for as long as I can. I try to do at least 30 minutes, and my face is definitely less puffy after I wash it off! I’m a believer!

Well, I’m super impressed by the fort too. Carter would have laughed at my fort attempts growing up if this is what he can do.

I really need Jeni to learn how to make it gluten-free!!

I love the CR Illuminating Eye Cream! Full disclosure though- it took me about a week to figure out the right amount to put on.. less is more. If used properly I absolutely agree it works better than concealer. For your readers, don’t give up if you feel it’s too heavy- it took me a full week to figure out exactly how to work the product.
Sheaffer says
Hi, Amy! Okay, so that’s the opposite of what happened with me. At first, I wasn’t putting on enough!!!! Haha! I guess everybody needs to find their sweet spot! 🙂 xoxo

Oh that bread and your sandwich look amazing!! There is nothing better than fresh bread. You have so many cute spring outfits.

Oh no, now I’ve got the Three’s Company theme song stuck in my head! Thanks a lot Sheaffer! LOL
Gotta love a good mumu!

Our family was so lucky to be able to hang out together and make some good memories during the quarantine days of 2020, even though in general it was a no fun period of our history. I LOVE sourdough bread – one of my favorite things! My friend recently gave me a fresh starter, so I need to get it going and bake sourdough myself. Oh, and you’ve reminded me that I really should have a butter crock, I think. Thanks for hosting!
