We are going to talk about OUTFIT FORMULAS (drink!) again.
Well, because I employed the formula Thursday. And then Friday. And then Saturday. And then again after church on Sunday.
I guess I decided to practice what I preached. 🙂
Usually a math formula would make my head hurt, but not this kind of math!
OUTFIT FORMULAS (drink!) are EASY!
If you need a little review of what I’m talking about before I expand,
you can see the original post HERE).
So, OUTFIT FORMULAS are easy to complete clothes equations.
And when I was getting dressed Thursday – Sunday, I found that THIS necklace was perfect for many equations.
I highlighted it on Wednesday with lots of other necklaces, but it emerged over the weekend as a PTMT favorite. Why? Well, that’s simple.
BECAUSE IT SEEMS TO GO WITH EVERYTHING.
With the 15% OFF discount (the A.C. extended it for this post!), the necklace will be $32.30 (instead of the regular $38). And I’m telling you, as my Mammaw would have said, you will wear the snot out of this necklace. 🙂
I promise you it will be worth every bit of that $32.30.
I should know. Because I’ve worn it 4 times total since Wednesday.
And I’m not ashamed. 😉
The wooden beads. The multi color tassel. IT’S ALL GOOD.
So like I said, I used the “OUTFIT FORMULA” premise for several days in a row.
And each of the outfits was cute, different, and….say it with me now….EASY to put together!
Tee + Jeans + Tassel Necklace (THIS ONE SPECIFICALLY!) + Flats = EASY and DARLING OUTFIT
So here’s the first oufit:
tee HERE *
*I know we’ve talked about this tee before, but I feel like it needs some more attention from me.
I HEART IT BIG TIME.
When I find something I love, I buy it in several colors…especially when it’s a great price.
So, I now have this tee in this orangey-red color, black, teal, and it’s on it’s way to me in white.
What’s so great about this tee?
Like I’ve said before, it’s not fitted….but it’s not baggy either.
It’s EXACTLY how I like my tees. A tiny bit slouchy (I do not want them tight), but
not sloppy at all!
For size reference, I’m wearing a small.
Also, I’ve now washed both the black one and the orange one, and they wash beautifully!

Now imagine this outfit without the necklace.
NOT NEARLY SO CUTE IS IT?!?
GET THE ABOVE LOOK HERE:
I employed a different outfit formula the next day with my denim jacket, tank, and flats….and I switched out my white jeans for camo pants.
The necklace definitely adds a little extra somethin’ somethin’ to this combo!

SIDEBAR: I’ve had a couple of readers e-mail me lately about footwear for vacations.
I’m probably not the best person to ask (we pretty much just go to the family’s ranch house), but I do own a couple of pairs of Tieks (with the signature turquoise sole) that I love. I don’t talk about them that much on the blog because they are quite pricey, but I know I have several readers that absolutely swear by them and say that you get what you pay for.
Find my ballerina pink Tieks c/o HERE.
If you want to read more about Tieks, click HERE.
I headed to Northpark on Friday to do a little shopping and to meet one of my high school besties who was in town for lunch! Love you Kasey! And when deciding what to wear, I of course decided to employ the OUTFIT FORMULA principals. Again. Because duh.

I had on the above outfit on when I went to Northpark on Friday…and so I was wearing the necklace in the dressing room….and it pretty much went with everything I tried. No lie.
See the next 3 pics for proof!
And this was such a pretty and flowy top. And I know lots of you girls live for pretty and flowy. 😉

I’m not wearing a cami in this picture, but it totally needs a cami. I recommend
these $12 tanks HERE (definitely my favorite camis!)
For size reference, I’m wearing an x-small in the blouse!

So this next item I saw across the store and was so excited to get to it!
I tried it on and thought it was the cutest dress!
And I also thought that it would be just precious with skinny white jeans and either flip flops or tall wedges. And I mean come on…how cute is it with the tassel necklace?
And then I went to grab the link from Nordstrom for this post, and I saw that it’s actually a tunic.
Not a dress.
It totally works as a dress if you would like it to be a dress.
And if you would like it to be a tunic? Well that’s good too. 🙂
chambray tunic HERE / necklace HERE / earrings HERE
For size reference, I was wearing an x-small in the dress/tunic. 🙂
I left the store without it, but as I’m looking at the pic, I’m thinking that was a mistake.
It’s kind of haunting me. I don’t have anything like this in my closet and am thinking it would be a nice addition!
Okay….so enough about what all looks good with the necklace…because I pretty much could have 87 more pictures here if you need more convincing. Please take my word for it and don’t make me post further
proof hard cord evidence. 🙂
Now remember, if you are going to order THIS necklace….the nice girls over at Accessory Concierge were sweet enough to extend the 15% OFF code for today.
ptmtspring15 will get you 15% OFF of your entire order!
Click HERE if you want to scan over my last A.C. post in case there might be anything else you want to throw in your basket. My other new favorites right now include THIS necklace and THIS necklace. You already know that I love THIS bracelet and THESE are calling to me (totally the same vibe as the necklace, but in bracelet form).
And don’t forget about the newest splurge vs. steal that I showed you last week!
Hi Sheaffer-My best friend Kate used to teach with you in McKinney ISD!… I have taken lots of your style advice and looooooooved all of it. (Seriously – those Callisto wedges in Putty – life changing!!)I am a huge fan of the Barrington Gifts tote bags, and totally drooling over the Florence leather one in your latest post. I wanted to ask about it durability. Do you think it will hold up against toddler mess and it being a Mama bag full of the whole kitchen sink of stuff? Does the leather scratch easily? Anything you can tell me, I’d love to hear. I want to order one, but am looking for a durable leather bag and don’t want to waste $$.Thank you for all your awesome posts!Happy Easter to you and your sweet family!Kelley
Hi Kelley! Kate is DARLING and you are so sweet! The Barrington Bag can totally hold up to LOTS of stuff being in it….but it does scratch easily. I kind of freaked the first time it happened, but now I truly think it just adds to the beauty and character of the bag. I love it more now than I did when it was brand spanking new. The straps are thin, so I was kind of worried that they wouldn’t hold up (I load that baby down), but they’ve been great! I LOVE it. In fact, I got a “big girl” (“big girl” is code for expensive) bag for my birthday last year…but I carry this one 98% of the time! I’m attaching a picture so you can see how pretty it is (rubs, scratches, and all!)! 🙂
I think that now they monogram a tag they attach to it instead of monogramming the actual bag. I wish mine was like that, but oh well!Let me know if you have any other questions! Don’t forget to use the 10% OFF code (PTMTSAVE10) if you order!!!!Thanks for reading!xoxo,Sheaffer 🙂
And here are some close up pics of my bag! Rubs, scratches, and all.
It’s just one of those bags that’s going to get better and better with time.
Barrington bag HERE (PTMTSAVE10 for 10% Off your Barrington order!)
It really is a gorgeous bag, and the “imperfections” it has now are what makes it pretty.
I adore it.
When online yesterday, I saw that THE STEAL DISC NECKLACE HAS BEEN RE-STOCKED IN GOLD! I know lots of you ladies were upset when it sold out so quickly, so this is good news! Hopefully it will last a little longer this time.
Gorjana Disc Necklace available at Nordstrom HERE/
Nordstrom Disc Collar Necklace HERE
They aren’t EXACTLY alike, but they are pretty dang close!
And since the steal version is $53 cheaper, I’m thinking many of you might even prefer it.
There are differences, but I definitely like the “steal” version too.
The original Gorjana is much more dainty. It doesn’t have as many discs, and the discs are smaller.
If you are really going for a dainty necklace, I think you should stick with the original.
But if you are just wanting the look, I think you will love the steal version!

And I’m wearing my favorite Gorjana hoops in both pics. You an find the earrings HERE.
And you can find my orange Madewell tee HERE.
I tried on this scarf at Northpark and though it was really great.
(Actually, I saw another customer try it on and thought it looked great on her…so I was next!)

And do you remember the white jeans that Ashley (a sweet reader) told us about last week?
(You can find her cute top HERE! It’s sheer in places, so you will have to wear a cami under it! And you can find her leopard wedges HERE. )
Well, I saw the jeans while at the mall on Friday, so you know I had to try them on for all of you!
I realllllllllly liked them!
Just like my Target ones, they are super soft and stretchy!
The front pockets are fake on these too, so you don’t have to worry about seeing the pocket liners! Wahoo!
For size reference, I’m wearing a 27. So I would say they run true to size.
(I’m normally a 27, but the size chart says that a 27 is a 2…and I’m normally a 4. So go by the measurements in inches when deciding what you need!)
If you are one of the ladies that didn’t want to give the white Target jeans a shot, give THESE a try.
They are a great deal at $54!
OH HOLD UP!
I HAVE to talk about the LOFT sale!

Or, see below for some of my favorites…
I wore my new favorite pants to Easter service at church yesterday.
I mean really, I should have named these pants a MUST HAVE…
EVERYBODY needs these pants….but especially if you have an office job.
They fit like a dream, are super flattering, and don’t wrinkle AT ALL!.
Click HERE for the pants in the Marisa fit (what I’m wearing) in both red and black.
For size reference, I’m wearing a 2 REGULAR in these pants.
The Marisa pants are perfect for me (I’m straight up and down), but if you are a bit more curvy, then the Julie pants might be better for you!
Click HERE for these pants in the Julie fit!
You can also get them in khaki and olive as well:

Notice the really wide waistband. It’s one of my favorite features of the pants! And they are also the perfect length to wear with flats, wedges, or heels.
WELL DONE LOFT!
If you are looking for some new shorts, you HAVE to check out LOFT.
I have the first pair (the black and white), and I’m sure I’ll add another patterned pair soon.
I love their shorts and have several in my closet from the last 2 years.
Click HERE for all of their shorts (available in 4″, 6″, 8″, and 10″ lengths)!
And most importantly, when talking about shorts, I shared some GREAT NEWS last week that warrants another share due to the HUGE SALE!
After looking for the last several years, I’ve finally found the perfect pair of denim shorts!
LOOK NO FURTHER.
I’VE DONE THE WORK FOR YOU.
THESE BABIES ARE PERFECTION.
They are stretchy (woohoo!), comfy, a light denim, a little bit destructed…..and most importantly…..THE PERFECT LENGTH. On the left and the top right you can see how they look after being cuffed twice. On the bottom right they are cuffed once, which is how you buy them. Hooray for denim shorts that don’t show your booty!

For size reference, I’m wearing a 26 and they still have some room (because they are so stretchy). Consider sizing down in these shorts.
