Have you ladies heard about Third Love? They are a bra company that is known for their “try before you buy” campaign as well as bras that are supposed to be amazingly comfortable because the materials are awesome and they are a perfect fit! They are also known for their technology, but we will get to that in a second.
I’ve been seeing ads for them on my facebook feed (the ads have also been popping up in my blog header recently!). Maybe you’ve seen them too…
But since I have a bra that I already love, I hadn’t paid much attention to the ads. When they reached out to see if I wanted to give their bras a try, I still wasn’t very interested. Again, I already had a bra that I loved. But then I remembered, the bra I’ve been professing my love for doesn’t come in anything below a B cup. And many of you ladies were always super bummed about that! One lady had even written me saying “Small ta tas need love too!”. Thanks for the laugh, Brittany!
Well, Brittany. You’re in luck! Third Love gives love to the small ta tas too (while not forgetting the large ta tas either)! Bras come in 32AA-40F. That’s a pretty impressive range of sizing! And they even come in half cup sizes! I’ve never seen this before, have y’all? Per Third Love’s site…it turns out that 50% of women sizes A-E fall in between standard cup sizes! I mean, of course that makes sense! If you ever had a feeling that you were between cup sizes, I bet you are jumping for joy right now!
Plus, I checked out the site and skimmed through only a small portion of the THOUSANDS of glowing reviews. And I have to say, they were pretty convincing. Anyway, for all of these reasons, I decided to give the program a try as well. And you know what? I’m glad I did. I mean, Glamour called their bra “The most comfortable bra ever”. I pretty much had to try it, right?
So, today I’m talking with Third Love, not just about their amazing bras, but also about their Try Before You Buy program as well as their quick survey and/or app that helps you find the right bra for you! This company is catering to women in so many ways, and I love it.
TRY BEFORE YOU BUY PROGRAM
Let’s start with their Try Before You Buy program.
Readers can return/ exchange/ wash/ wear/ live in the bra for 30 days before paying a dime for it! WHAT? That’s right, you have 30 days to wear it around the house, wear it to work, wear it everywhere you go! If you love the bra and decide to keep it, you will be charged $68 at the end of 30 days. If you decide this bra is not your perfect fit, you can return it, within the 30 day window, and you will not be charged (except for the $2.99 shipping upfront). Updated at 10:30 a.m.: several readers have reported that they were charged $4.99 for shipping this morning. I’ve reached out to Third Love and am waiting to hear back. I will update the post after I receive a response!
And check this out. If a gently used bra gets returned after being worn during their Try Before You Buy program, they wash it and donate it to a great cause! They are working with several charities in California to give women in need a perfectly fitting bra. I love that!
Some important information: *Directly after you place your order there will be a $68 pending charge on your banking statement. It will look like you were charged the full amount for the bra, however that is just a verification of your card on our end and that money was not deducted from your account. You will see that pending charge fall off your statement in the following 1-3 days after you place your order.
FIT FINDER
If unsure of your bra size, the company has created a series of simple questions in their FIT FINDER. And since 9/10 dentists agree that something like 99.99% of women wear the wrong size bra, this could come in handy for many of you. 😉 #sometimesicrackmyselfup
Click HERE to check the Fit Finder out! First, you choose the shape of your breast. And y’all. There are 9 different shapes to choose from (with drawings to help you identify your boobs)! Seriously! Fyi: my boobs are bell shaped. And if “saggy bell” would have been a category, I would have checked that box. 😉 They then give you 7 choices of different types of fit issues you may or may not be having. You can choose “none”, or you can choose all that apply (ex. straps digging in, cup overflow, etc)! Other survey questions: what cup type is your style, and what size is your favorite bra. All questions were easy to answer (thanks to the handy dandy illustrations), and the survey took less than a minute to complete!
THERE’S AN APP FOR THAT!
You can also download the ThirdLove app, where you can size yourself (without the hassle of the in-store experience). All you need is your phone and a mirror. Essentially, it’s a virtual fitting!
From ThirdLove RE: the ThirdLove app: the photos used in the sizing app are never saved (they don’t even remain in your camera roll on your phone). The sizing calculation takes place on the phone and the measurement and size are presented almost instantaneously.
I will say, the app is a little bossy, but I respect bossy. I happy to be fluent in bossy. 😉 It talks to you and tells you exactly where to hold your phone. WHAT A CONCEPT! For those of you that are uncomfortable with the idea of a professional fitting, this is the app for you! It walks you through with pictures and voice directives, and it’s very user friendly! Okay……so you either take the survey….or you use the app….or both….or neither….and then you order you bra!
Third Love sent me their best selling t-shirt bra as well as their full coverage bra. I was planning on liking the full coverage better….and although I do like it a lot, I actually preferred the t-shirt bra, which was surprising to me! Full reviews of both bras below!
Here they are. The classic full coverage bra (in plum) on left, 24/7 classic t-shirt bra (in nude) on the right both c/o Third Love. They’re not crazy sexy or anything….but let’s be honest…neither am I. 🙂 They are practical, and they get the job done. And I like that they do so while allowing me to be comfortable.
The 24/7 T-Shirt Bra
This is their most popular bra. The fit is great (score!), it’s very comfortable, and the memory foam makes the shape very natural. I prefer a really rounded cup, and this fits the bill! The bra doesn’t have any bells and whistles (like a pretty lace or anything), but that’s what I prefer! I want a smooth line under tees. And remember, it also comes in 1/2 cup sizes! That’s really going above and beyond to obtain a perfect fit. And I love the pretty pleated straps.

24/7 Classic Full Coverage Bra
And here’s my review of the 24/7 Classic Full Coverage Bra, their most supportive bra. So there are two things I love about this particular bra. First of all, the full coverage cups. I can’t see any spillage ever happening with these babies. And the memory foam again provides coverage, without adding additional volume. I DON’T WANT additional volume. Even the straps are lined with memory foam for heaven’s sake, which means no strap digging in and no slipping straps.
And again, here it is doing it’s thing. This is exactly what I look like in it. 😉
I wanted to show y’all a couple of pictures of me wearing the t-shirt bra with a favorite tee of mine. Click HERE to get details on the outfit. Please notice how even with a thin tee, you don’t see any spillage in the front or any bulges on the side or back. That’s what a good fitting and well made bra will get you!
I wanted a close up shot to show you that you can’t see where the cups end. They also give a nice rounded shape, and the tee lays very smoothly over this bra. The memory foam is what I love most about this bra. It gives coverage (if you know what I mean), but it doesn’t add volume. If you want volume, you can try their push up bras that I’m sure will hoist your girl to attention. That’s not what I’m looking for, I just want a comfortable hug from my bra. 😉
Overall, I’m a big fan of the bras AND the company. From the survey questions and the technology used to help you get the perfect fit…to the actual bras. I have tried to buy a bra from them. I received quickly however it was the wrong size. The same day i did an exchange, that was a month ago. Still haven’t received my exchange or to return the wrong size. Can only email customer service, after 2 week i got “we haven’t even processed your return, thx for your patience”. I emailed again a week ago that said forget it just take your bra back. No response. today, now 6 weeks i said again i better not be charged as the customer service sucks!!! Good luck!!!

I was charged $187.01 that same day, it was NOT just the shipping charge. I thought, oh well maybe the bras will be great. Rec’d the three bras, tried one for one day – no go. I went online, notified of the return – nada. did it again, filled the online form, finally got a mail label. Sent them back – I’m told I will only get store credit. Um, I only TRIED one of the three bras. two are UNWORN. Ive gone back and forth with the cust serv rep, who keeps getting it wrong, and will not provide a refund. Today i rec’d and email providing me the mailing label. Um you have the bras. Im out $187.01, no bras, no refund, – at this point i wish don’t want to exchange nor wish store credit. The instructions with my order said: to RETURN… bras must have ALL THE TAGS STILL ON THEM !!! how are you supposed to really try out a bra like that.
i have purchased 6 Third love bras. BUT I only kept 3 to try out. Returned the 32DD and E’s.
I choose the size 34E. The cups on the T shirt and Full Coverage are really large and come up under my arms and it bites and pinches (even with a shirt on)… and the Full Coverage are just like most underwires…i can’t wait to take them off by end of day. I am 5’2 and 125 lbs. So i now have 3 bras i wish i could return but can’t!

I am also 5’2 and 125, but I ended up with a 36 B1/2 after exchanging 3 bras. ( I made the mistake of not using the try it before you buy). I had the bra for days before I broke down and wore it. IT IS THE MOST UNCOMFORTABLE BRA I HAVE WORN IN YEARS! I spent most of my time tugging and pulling on it. If I adjust the straps so that they don’t slip the bra rides up in front. Also no matter what size cup, it was not wide enough, Half of the ladies were still under my arm pit. I have bought $20 Coobies that were more comfortable.

I have 2 Third Love bras. I got the t-shirt bra first, and after I loved it so much, I got the lace balconette bra. The lace bra is gorgeous, but I don’t wear it under smooth tops. The t-shirt bra isn’t the prettiest bra out there, but it’s my favorite one I own. Glad to see you talking about them!

Hi, Beth! I think it depends on what cup size you are. The Third Love bras come in 1/2 cup sizes and go all the way down to AA, so it allows a larger number of people to try the bra (the MUST HAVE bra only goes down to B and there are no 1/2 cups). Does this help? xoxo, Sheaffer 🙂

Hey Shaeffer, I know you probably won’t be able to answer since you’ve only had the bras for a little while. But any idea of how well they hold up and you expect them to last? I haven’t been very adventurous with my bra selection but my VS bras seem to only hold up for about a year before I can tell they are starting to get worn. I usually have 2 I have in my rotation (in nude and black) and really don’t wash them as much as I should so I know it’s not the washer to blame!

I wash it in the washing machine and then let it air dry (I probably should hand wash it but I have no time for that!). I agree with your about the VS bras – I was getting so dissatisfied with the fit and quality. So far, the Third Love bra has been awesome. Hi – I have bras from Bounce, VS, Title 9. I have about 5 bras plus the $68 classic tee bra i got from thirdlove 9 mos ago. I wear Lululemon energy bras to work M-F so rotate through my hook bras on weekends. After 6 mos, the thirdlove bra cups started to pill and one strap started to fray. All my other bras are still in great shape (after 3 years!). I wash all my bras in garment bags and air dry. I contacted thirdlove customer service – they offered me a 10% coupon. No thanks!

Be aware that you can only “try before you buy” if you order the ONE bra in the ONE size that the survey recommends. If, like me, you have existing bras in different sizes and you order a couple so you can check this brand’s fit, then you can’t “try before you buy” ANY of them. Seems pretty misleading since their website makes a big deal about the free 30-day trial. Having said that, the t-shirt bra does feel pretty comfortable in the A-1/2 cup size — which isn’t what my survey recommended, so I’m glad I tried different sizes. I just wish I could actually wear it for a few days, as expected, before having to commit to it.

I purchased the Racerback Bra and don’t like it at all. Unfortunately, I already took the tags off before I tried it. I guess I was overly excited about the possibility of awesomeness. I feel like you need to put ‘LEAVE THE TAGS ON FOR RETURN” in bold somewhere on the Tags. I tried the one bra in the size they recommended. It is too tight around so I have been attempting to
reach someone for a return label since returns were designated as FREE. I went to the website and completed the form for return. After submission a message said an email would come shortly. The email told me to “click here” for return and then it linked me to the same form I had just completed! I tried to fill it out again and received a message “this item has already been returned”. Then I tried to call them and a recording made it sound as if I was calling after business hours (I was not) and told me to call back.
Has anyone else had the run-around when trying to return the bra?

I tried a few of the tshirt bra sizes but none of them fit. When I tried talking to a fitting expert, third love completely dropped the ball and didn’t respond. I tried to exchange for another style, and couldn’t get a response, so I returned the bra for a refund. I’ve emailed 3 times and can’t figure out why they won’t reply or send my money back.
Is this a legit company or a scam? Their bras were good quality.

I agree the wire seemed stiff and uncomfortable to me. Also a warning: if you want to do the Try Before you Buy be careful because if you click through to buy the bra from your email (after you get your size via email) you will not be doing the Try Before you Buy option. I was not aware I hadn’t chosen the correct option until I tried to return. Luckily they gave me the Try Before you Buy refund. Not a miracle bra for me.

Beautiful, well-made bra, which unfortunately didn’t fit–not even close. But their customer service seems to be on holiday. I received the bra on the fifth and returned it on the sixth, unworn, tags still on. They received it on the 11th, and as of the 30th and three emails (just sent a fourth), I still haven’t had any response. Their website is a bit tricky to navigate, too.

Some of the worse bras and panties I have tried.
The design is off for my frame size at 5’2″, 140 lbs., and a 32F.
They fit at band and strap yet cups are all wrong, my breasts are pushed out the top middle and cut under my armpits.
Plus the return process on Web site needs addressed as the system program is not accurate with multiple returns…the email for returns is not clear, and the customer service told me they will refund every one of my six (6) items purchased, four not worn with tags….. and yet they are giving me the run around and sending me exchanges… when I told them their items DO NOT FIT ME!
And please note their panties sizes are not what is normal as my Medium is their XL!!

You stated they have bras up to 40f, which I was excited about as I have been looking for a new one that isn’t a grandmas bra… but I could not find a single bra that size. If there is any that size please let me know which one.

So glad I came across this, I was getting ready to enter my information for the try it first. I do seem to wear different sizes in different bras, so I thought this would be great. I will not be placing an order with them after readying all the reviews on the lack of customer service. It’s a shame because I love to have loads of bras and not having to go into a store is a plus for me. However, I would much rather go into a store then have to make several calls a day, only to not get a response. Thank you ladies for sharing your experiences and I am sorry you had to deal with issues in the first place.

I’ve actually had a great experience with their customer service so I was surprised to see so many negative experiences! I did the Try It, the bra that came didn’t fit well, filled out exchange info online, returned it yesterday, and got an email saying they had received it and would be sending any exchange order asap. No problems whatsoever!

BUYER BEWARE! I bought two bras and they did not fit and i returned with tags on. I wore one for 15 minutes with tags on after clean skin in the shower and the other I never touched. I returned both within a day and they have not refunded me 3 weeks later. They then said that the bras arrived damaged and worn! Are you kidding me? This is them trying to make up for their return policy. I am taking it up with my credit card but super disappointed I have to waste the time.

face it – Thirdlove marketing is a lie. i waited 5 months for a bra after i was told it would come back in stock. i had to contact Thirdlove several times. They never reached out to tell me that one of their signature items was being discontinued so all the time i had waited was for not, they had no intention of stocking my item again. This after the first one they sent me was defective. (bra was nude 3, 24×7 push up in 36 c). When I reached out to customer service I was placed on hold several times and the manager told me the best she could do was put me on a list for a bra that doesn’t even exist yet and give me a marginally better discount than was currently being offered on the public website. The fact that they claim you can find you perfect bra may be true, but don’t expect them to keep producing it or have any customer service what so ever. For the price of one bra here, you can buy 3 at Victoria’s Secret, and you know what, they allow returns too.

I am so glad I read this blog and the reviews! I have never paid more than $20 for a bra, and of course, have never been happy with fit. I finally was deciding to try something expensive like this, as you typically get what you pay for. But hearing all these problems people are having with Customer Service, I am going to look elsewhere for a quality bra. I have to say if you are going to pay $70 for a bra, then you darn well should have an easy time returning an item, or talking to a person in Customer Service!

Hi there! So, I placed my first order with ThirdLove. Because of all the good reviews I saw on the site and the fact that I was desperately needing more bras. I purchased five bras. When I received an email confirmation showing what I purchased, it said that I should be getting an email shortly confirming that my order has shipped and the expected delivery date. That was three days ago. I tried calling there customer service number and got a voicemail. So, I tried the texting option. The customer service representative informed me that my order has been processed by their team and they are saying that it could take up to an additional week for them to decide to ship it out. When I questioned why it would take an additional week even though my order has already been processed by their team. They just said that’s an estimate and don’t have any answers for me. I just wanted to find out when I should be expecting my package, but I can’t get any answers. It’s making me very concerned as to why they don’t seem more organized like a company should be. Almost to the point where I question my discussion, if I should have even bought anything from them.

I ordered 4 different bras on November 20th, as I wanted to try different options. It is now December 7th and I haven’t received my order. A few days ago, I texted the number for customer service and although I got fast responses, the answers weren’t really satisfying. I got a 10% off discount for my next order (thanks, I haven’t even received my first order- I certainly don’t think I’ll be ordering again!) and a message noting my order will be shipped out soon, due to warehouse delays. After waiting a couple more days with no change in my order status, I called a human this time. After a minimal hold period, I was transferred to Christina. She was sweet and helpful and listened to my concerns. She did note the warehouse issue, but said it wasn’t an excuse. She refunded 10% of my purchase due to the delay. She was very helpful, bravo Christina. Now, I just hope to receive my bras before Christmas, since I ordered them before Thanksgiving! Fingers crossed they fit better than my current bras.

Just an update here… It has now been a month and still no bras. I called again today and spoke to Emily at Third Love. She was very apologetic to my month long bra saga. She offered to create a new order with my same products in hopes it would get processed quicker. She noted the new order would be processed in 3 days plus 5-9 days in shipping, which would add (at most) 12 more days to this saga. I kindly requested for Third Love to expedite the shipping, given, at this point, it looks like I won’t receive my bras until January. Hopefully my new order is processed without drama and I receive my much anticipated bras.

Do not buy from thirdlove! I purchased a bra on November 10 and was charged for the purchase. It is now December 13th and I have yet to get a shipping confirmation. I have contacted customer service a few times and been told that they are switching warehouses and that they item will be shipped “shortly”. I don’t know what the company’s definition of shortly is but a month is not mine. Furthermore, they refuse to refund me and cancel the order because supposedly they item is packed for shipment and awaiting for fedex for pick up. Is the warehouse on the moon? Because I sure fedex can get anywhere. Do not buy from them, they will just take you money and lie to why you cannot get your purchase. I currently have a dispute filed through my bank for my purchase.

Very disappointed. I am in desperate need of bras and I too went through their online size guide and was advised to order a cup size LARGER than what I wear. It arrived in 2 days and I was initially thrilled until I tried it on. The band size fit very well and I was thrilled as I’m using bra extenders on the bras I do have. But the cups were big! Like I should’ve gotten the 40. I called the company service who told me They would send me a shipping label and to send it back but that there was nothing they could do about replacing it until they saw it with tracking and even then it might take some time. How long they were unable to say. I was going to just place an order for what I think is my appropriate size, but felt a little bit leery after reading all these comments and decided not to I will just return the bra and continue to search for the perfect bra out there somewhere. Very disappointed in this company I had very high hopes.

Hi, so I have been seeing THIRDLOVE for a while now & am really interested. I have tried several times to fimd the fitting app on my iphone to no avail.
It there an issue? did they discontinue it.
I went thru the fitting questions. I would still love to use the app to make sure I am ordering the correct size, as it appears from many reviews the Guarantee and or money back offer may or may not work & I am not al all interested with being stuck with an expensive bra that does not fit

Personally I haven’t had any problems with customer service on any of my orders (made since Feb 2018), and shipping has always been reasonably efficient.
My issue is that they don’t have the smaller end of the size range the way this review seems to state they do. Not sure if it’s a change in the past years, but I’m hard pressed to find one that fits my petite frame correctly. 32B should not be the smallest option! Do you know if they changed the range of sizes they provide, or better yet, if they’ll expand the range to be more inclusive?

Hi, I tried one T-shirt bra and liked it then gained weight and bought 4 in a size up. All size 36 bras were different lengths and only one fit. The size m underwear were different sizes. I returned bras and will not receive refund for 15 to 30 days. I would never buy from this company again. Big ripoff and waste of time. Only thing I like is the half size cups but I don’t want to waste my time and $$ with this company. No thanks!

I love the fit of the tee shirt bra and when someone asked if it had an underwire I had to feel for it because it is so comfortable…my problem with it is the straps squeak when I make any kind of movement. I was hoping once it was washed and worn it would work itself out, but no such luck. If it doesn’t before my 30 days are up I guess I will have to return it and this will make me sad because again I love the way it fits!

“Try before you buy” is false advertising!!! I tried my bra for two days and decided a bigger size would be more comfortable. Well. I was told that because I had taken the tags off and worn it but wanted an exchange rather than a flat return, I’d be charged the full amount. Got an email today telling me they’ve processed my request for the bigger size and it will ONLY BE RETURNED OR EXCHANGED IF THE TAGS ARE STILL ON AND ITS UNWORN. They don’t mean it when they say you can “try before you buy.” They’re lucky I loved the bra or I’d be done with this company for good. The customer service rep literally told me to only wear it with the tags on if I thought I *might* want to return it. WEAR IT WITH THE TAGS ON! I guess their “we give the worn bras to a good cause” is a bunch of bologna.
