It was last year that I first fell in love with this blouse. In fact, I loved it so much that I bought it in olive, wine, and taupe. And I wore the heck out of all 3 colors. It can be easily dressed up or down and can be worn with shorts, skirts, jeans, colored jeans, and if you want to dress it up…pencil skirts and slacks.
The cut of the top is great and the overall fit is amazing. It does this kind of crossover thing in front where it drapes, and it’s so flattering (and totally hides a tummy). It’s a little bit shorter in the front (it kind of looks like it’s tucked even even though it’s not), and quite a bit longer in the back (which hides your tush). It has 3/4 sleeves (my favorite sleeve length) and it barely wrinkles at all.
I promise you can wear it all day, throw in on your chair that night, wear it all day the next day, and it will still look fresh and like it was just picked up from the cleaners. #notthatiwouldknowanythingaboutthat 😉
I’m telling you, it’s a great shirt.
I don’t have a cami on with it in any of my pictures today, but some of you might be more comfortable wearing a cami under both colors because of the neckline. Also, the white is a little sheer, but not sheer enough that I felt a cami was required. I did have to wear a nude bra (which I wear most of the time anyway! check out the reviews!). Also, I’m wearing a small in the top, which is true to size for me. If you don’t have a large chest, I would recommend sizing down.
This blouse was so popular last year that it sold out pretty early on in the season. I’d been checking to see if they were going to restock it for fall this year at Nordstrom, but I had not seen any evidence of a restock. AND THEN I FOUND IT ON SOCIAL THREADS!!! Yipeeeee!
I contacted them immediately to make sure they had plenty in stock (didn’t want to tell y’all about if they were all “Yeah, we have 5 in each size.”), and they said they DID have plenty! WHEW! They sent it to me in both white and black, and today I’ll be showing you several different ways to style both. Click HERE for the top to check it out, see detail shots, and a get an idea for the length in back.
Now, before we get started, I have a couple of codes for y’all today! First, if you sign up for the e-mail list for Social Threads for the first time, you can get 10% OFF your order (click “sign up and save” in the top right corner of their homepage). Also, most of the jewelry in today’s post is from Accessory Concierge, and they are letting me kick of their BACK TO SCHOOL SALE this year with the code STMTbacktoschool. Use the code and get 20% OFF YOUR ENTIRE ORDER!!!!!
This first outfit is a perfect fall look. Grey jeans have become a staple in my closet because they add interest to an outfit in a really subtle way. They are more unexpected than just a regular denim jean, and the color is great all year long. They are obviously great with black and white pieces, but I also love them paired with navy and light pink! (Click HERE to check out a lot of different grey jean styles at different price points.)
If you missed out on the booties during the sale, pick them up now that there’s been a restock. I promise they are worth the price. They are incredibly comfy, and I will be wearing them all fall and winter long. Make sure you size up a 1/2 size.
This turquoise pendant is another year round piece that I constantly find myself reaching for. This is probably one of the Top 3 necklaces in my closet. I love it so much. Remember to use the code!
Both bracelets are 20% OFF with the code STMTbacktoschool. This exact cuff is sold out, but I linked a very similar one.
Here are the pieces I styled this look with. Just click on what you are interested in!
I put this next look together to show you that the blouse is cute layered under a jacket as well. I love it under a denim jacket, but it would also look great under a military jacket.
I’m wearing a 27 petite in the jeans (and I’m just under 5’4″). I’m wearing a small in the jacket, size up a 1/2 a size in the booties.
Here are the pieces I styled the outfit with:
This outfit is definitely my favorite of the day…I love the jeans and the accessories. This look would be perfect for a date night with the hubby or a girl’s night out!
About the jeans…I truly feel like they make me look 2 inches taller and 10 pounds thinner (and they have been restocked in all sizes)! They are soft, stretchy, and soooo comfy it’s crazy. I’m wearing the regular 4. I’m almost 5’4″, and the petites were wayyyyyyyy too short on me.
And do y’all know about Nickel and Suede? I’ve talked about them once before, and here I’m wearing their matte gold leather earrings. They are made from genuine leather, and they are just as light as they can be. If you have issues with earrings always being too heavy for you, these earrings are what you’ve been looking for! I love this matte gold, but you can choose from different sizes, different colors, and even different shapes!

And the rest of the jewelry…
I think my job here is done. I feel like I’ve done more than enough to give you proof that the blouse is AWESOME. 😉
Now, before you go, let’s talk a bit more about the Accessory Concierge BACK TO SCHOOL sale! 20% OFF EVERYTHING!!! Now, the pieces you see me in today are pieces I’ve had for years. And I still reach for them. And I still absolutely love them. If you don’t have these particular pieces, I’m telling you that you will be so happy to have them in your closet.
