This post is sponsored by Kohl’s and ShopStyle Collective. The product selections are my own, and I only highlight and promote products that I truly love. Thank you for supporting the brands that support Sheaffer Told Me To!
Today’s post is one of my favorite types of posts to do. It’s part of a series I call Style It Again, Sheaffer where I take an item that I love, and I style it several different ways. Today we are styling a great pair of Vera Wang boot cut jeans 5 different ways!
For the past 5-6 years or so, I’ve featured a pair of boot cut jeans that I LOVE. And although reasonably priced, I always have a bunch of requests looking for a pair at an even lower price. Well, I never found a pair I liked. UNTIL NOW. THESE BABIES are UNDER $30 RIGHT NOW! What in the world!
I think boot cut jeans are a great addition to just about anybody’s closet, and if you don’t already have a pair that you love, these are a great option. Especially at this price.

I knew I wanted to show some looks today that would be appropriate for different types of holiday parties and get togethers, so let’s kick things off with this festive sweater!
This is the “modern maroon”, but I actually think it’s a really great cranberry Christmas red! It would be perfect for a casual lunch with friends or even a kid’s Christmas party at school.
It’s chenille, so you know it’s incredibly soft, and I love the v neck and the relaxed fit. For size reference, I’m wearing a small.
Now let’s talk about the jeans!
They’re longer than my other boot cut jeans I own, which is going to be great for some of you taller and longer legged ladies! Those 5’5″ and shorter are good in the other jeans I talk about, but I always had requests from taller readers that they wished there was a long option. These are actually a touch long on me, so they will be great for you taller girls!
They’ve got a bit of stretch, but they also have some structure. I’m wearing the “glassgow”, and they also come in a darker indigo, in black night, and in dublin (a washed black). I’m wearing a size 4, but I would definitely suggest to size down if between sizes. These 4s are a bit big on me. The 2s fit me, but they were pretty uncomfortable in the waist, so I went with the 4s. I think I’m just smack right dab in between sizes in these.
Yep, this is a perfect holiday red!
And can we all admit that boot cut jeans make you look taller and skinnier than you already are? #becausetheytotallydo
Outfit #2 is a little extra. But you know what, sometimes it’s FUN to be a little extra. Especially around the holidays! 😉
This would be great for a holiday happy hour, or maybe your girl’s night out Christmas dinner!
The polka dot sweater seemed like the perfect layer for under this totally whimsical jacket.
I fell in love with this blush color of the jacket and love the over-exaggerated collar and toggles. For size reference, I’m wearing a small.
It’s going to be fun and easy to dress both up and down. If wanting to wear it casually, I’d pair it with a plain white tee, some straight legged crop jeans, and fashion sneakers. If I wanted to dress it up a bit, I would layer it over a sparkly top and style it with heels and blingy earrings!
For size reference, I’m wearing a medium in the sweater and a small in the jacket.
Continuing with the “extra” theme, this cardi has metallic thread running through it and pearl buttons.
Have y’all heard of the grandma chic trend that’s happening? I would say this cardi totally fits in to that style.
This is the “star shine”, and it’s a really pretty blue. It also comes in linen and blush. I’m wearing a medium, but I need a small.
Pairing these jeans with a classic crew neck just makes sense.
This green color is gorgeous. They call it “persian teal heather”, but I think it’s much more of a forest green. It also comes in a dark wine, a heathered grey, and a really beautiful creamy white they call “marshmallow”.
The sweater is softer than soft, and I love the classic styling. With the 20% OFF code, you can grab it for just under $35.
You could pull it down and wear it long, but I prefer to sit the large banded hem at my waist and then blouse up the body a bit. I think it’s very flattering to wear it this way because it defines the waist.
And take another look at the jeans! They are a super affordable boot cut jean option!
This is casual enough to wear Christmas shopping, but it’s also nice enough to wear out for a nice dinner!
This final outfit just might be my favorite.
This sweater poncho is a relaxed and swingy fit and the cable knit design is so pretty. I’m wearing the x-small/small and there is still plenty of room.
Another totally classic look. The poncho also comes in dark zinfandel.
I’m wearing a grey long sleeve tee under it here, but I think it would also be fun to style it with a tiny striped tee for a more casual look.
I also think this navy striped boat neck sweater would look awesome with the jeans. I’m probably going to have to order it myself. #iwillcallitresearch

WHAT I GRABBED FOR CHRIS
And listen ladies, I can’t have a Kohl’s post around Christmas and not talk about at least a handful of gift ideas for guys! I went in to Kohl’s last week, and in a matter of about 5 minutes, I had thrown the following things in my cart for Chris for Christmas.
So he tried them on, and the great news is that he absolutely LOVES both. The bad news is that he’s already wearing both of them, so they are no longer going to be under the tree. In fact, he claims the joggers are and I quote “the best sweatpants I’ve ever owned“. I mean, that’s saying something y’all! And right now they are under $16! And the slippers are under $25!
I’m so sorry that I can’t find the Harry’s shaving gift set online, but you can click HERE for other some great shaving sets and electric razors that would make excellent presents. Click HERE to shop all things men’s grooming.
Click HERE to shop all sorts of gifts for HIM!
Some things I’m grabbing for Carter,,,
You can find boy’s gifts HERE. I’m going to order him a couple pairs of Under Armour fleece joggers (they are his favorite and he needs a bigger size), this 1/4 zip fleece in blue, and this graphic hoodie in tempered steel. And as always, he’s getting his fave UA briefs for his stocking.
And I’m telling you, if there’s somebody on your list that you are still stumped on, just look around at Kohl’s and I’m pretty sure you’ll find something! From toys, to makeup, to kitchen items, to clothes, there really is something for everybody!
p.s. If you haven’t seen yesterday’s post, please go see it now! Shay and I are trying to raise $100,000 for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, and we have a long way to go before we reach our goal. Y’all, we really want to raise as much as possible for these kids! We need everybody’s help today, and the donation cut off is 11:50 pm CST tonight.
Donating to St. Jude via this link will give you the chance to be the recipient of the Goyard tote (valued at $2,000) I showed yesterday!
One lucky lady is going to get an awesome prize, and St. Jude families are going to benefit greatly from all of YOUR generosity.
Here are the simple steps:
- Go HERE and make a secure donation on our St. Jude donation page by TONIGHT at 11:59 p.m. CST.
- Our contact at St. Jude will choose a random name from all of the donations (made via this link), and we will announce the recipient on Friday’s blog post.
It really is just that easy! And it’s such a simple AND FABULOUS way to celebrate the season.
There are donation buttons for $30, $50, $100, and $250…but there is also an “OTHER” button! The OTHER button can be used for donations starting at just $10, and every single donation will be so appreciated! If you are feeling super generous, you can also use the OTHER button to write in donations larger than $250, and we would of course be thrilled if some of you were able to do that!
Let’s do this, friends! This post explains everything and gives you a little peek into all of the amazing things about St. Jude.
Please join with us and donate HERE. Every little bit helps!!!
