LOTS of goodness you need to be reminded about!
AND…make sure you check out the SALE ALERT at the bottom of this post!
I hope everybody had a better Spring Break than I did.
The next 8 days I would have been more than happy to share those cuddles with others. 😉
The weather was GORGEOUS (mid 70s), and it was soooo great to be out of the house.
BRING. IT. ON. SPRING.
Now that you are totally wanting the jewelry for yourself….let me tell you something that will make you want it even more.
Noonday is a fashion-forward, socially responsible group of people helping
artisans around the world and combating the orphan crisis by creating
jobs in high-risk orphan areas.
I mean, WOW.
In addition to employing people in countries around the world, they also donate 10% of fundraiser trunk
show sales to adoptive families bringing children home to their forever
Noonday’s mission verse is:
and if you spend yourselves in behalf of the hungry and satisfy
the needs of the oppressed, then your light will rise in the darkness,
and your night will become like the noonday.”
Gotta LOVE and RESPECT and WANT TO SUPPORT a company with a mission verse.
I am wearing the Bethe Rope necklace found HERE.
bronze melted down from previous war weapons. Most of the artisans who
created the pieces are HIV positive and receive healthcare and literacy
training in addition to job training.
I can think of at least 10 outfits in my closet that would be cuter with the addition of this necklace.
Handmade by African Style, a group that Noonday Collection helped launch in Uganda.
Or what about these fabulous pieces, which are some of my absolute favorites.
1- La Jolla Necklace
This piece is handcrafted of sustainable seeds by artisans in Ecuador.
It takes 3 months for the seed to become a bead. The artisans have been
able to rise out of poverty and now employ other community members with
the same vision!
2- Sapphire Orbit Earrings
Handmade by a fair trade artisan group in India that creates avenues of employment for the economically disadvantaged.
3 – Filipino Clutch
This clutch is woven by members of a Fillipino group who are responsible
for every step of the process, from dying the grasses to weaving the
intricate patterns into the bags. They earn a fair, reliable income that
allows them to make a better life for themselves and their families.
4 – Brightly Wound Coral Bracelet
I mean, their stuff is awesome! And I LOVE the idea of being able to tell somebody the story behind the jewelry when they tell me they love what I’m wearing (because they totally will). 🙂
So, go HERE to the catalog and look around!
Or, go HERE if you want to see their beautiful Spring Lookbook.
The lookbook is a gorgeous magazine showing the pieces on real people styled to perfection.
And…here’s the super fun part …
there’s a GIVEAWAY!
Go look around and figure out what you would want if you happen to win the
$50 credit that Laura is offering to her shop!
You can have 2 entries total for this contest:
1) Leave a comment saying what you would buy with your $50 credit! Easy peasy!
2) Like her facebook page HERE.
One word of caution, when buying earrings, make sure you look at the picture of somebody with the earrings on. I don’t usually wear huge earrings, and some of their earrings are rather large (although you can’t really tell that when just looking at the earrings when they are not on somebody).
One more thing, if Noonday‘s mission is something you would like to support and you are in Laura’s area (Southwest Winconsin), maybe you would like to host a trunk show?!?
If so, contact Laura by e-mail at firstname.lastname@example.org
And just in case you want to see the jewelry one more time, here it is with my military jacket (which you will be seeing more of tomorrow).
Start buying some of this super cool jewelry!
And listen, if your hubby asks you if you are shopping for jewelry again, tell him “NO!”
Instead, say “I’m helping children find their forever homes and helping women help their families.”
That ought to shut him up. 😉
p.s. DWTS starts tonight and I could not be more pumped!
I’m not sure how it’s going to look yet, but I will do some sort of re-cap!
Go Team Sean!
