I’m kicking things off with this batwing cocoon cardigan because it’s one of my favorite items in the haul. I ordered it on a whim, and I didn’t even really love it when I took it out of the box. However, the moment I slipped it on I FELL IN LOVE.

It’s FABULOUS.

I’m wearing the “dark khaki” here and am totally smitten with the color. The forearms are ribbed and fitted, it’s a batwing sleeve, and it’s a cocoon fit. It’s fitted more around the bottom, so it kind of just envelopes you. I think it’s awesome.

Okay, back to sweaters in just a minute, but we’re going to pause and take a good look at the 3 different pairs of jeans y’all are going to see on today’s post. I wanted to give y’all denim options that you can grab from Amazon!

You’ve seen this pair of jeans before. These “light blue” jeans (definitely more of a medium wash) are stretchy, flattering, totally comfy, and ON SALE! They do have some distressing, but there are no open holes, which I like. I’m wearing my regular size 4, but most size down if between sizes. I do wish these were shorter on me (I’m 5’4″ with long legs for my height). As you can see below, I have them cuffed a couple of inches in order to be the perfect ankle length on me. I’m actually considering cutting these off at ankle length for a frayed hem. p.s. They have the Ab-Solution technology we all know and love!

The site calls these “vintage skinny jeans”, but I think they are a straight leg for sure. I would actually describe them as a slim straight leg, which I love. You get the benefit of the very “in” straight leg silhouette, but you still get the flattering vibes of a skinny jean. These are the “light blue vintage”, and the light wash is super on trend, even for fall. They’ve got Ab-Solution technology too, so you know they are both comfy and flattering as all get out. For size reference, I’m wearing my regular size 4.

These jeans are a great light-medium wash that is totally on trend. I originally recommended them early this year, and I’ve received tons of feedback (at least 50 comments or e-mails!) from y’all letting me know that you ordered the jeans and love them too. They aren’t normal jean sizing, but at a regular 27 or sometimes 28 (depending on the jean brand), I ordered the medium. They have some serious stretch to them, so I think a small would have been fine, but I’m good with the fit of the mediums. They’re roomy, but I like that I have a slouchy pair of jeans.

My exact pair is the “36 sky blue”. As you can see online, they have a really jagged hem, but since I cuff mine up, you can’t see that hem.

I really like these jeans, and at under $40 they are an incredible buy. They’re obviously VERY distressed, so you won’t be wearing them to the office or anything. Haha!

This cardi is SO SOFT and SO COZY and SO. FLIPPING. CUTE.

It has a bit of stretch in it, and it’s so comfy to wear. I was unsure about the colors when I ordered it, but I absolutely love the colors in person. Officially, this one is called “orange”, but I’m not typically an orange person and I still love these colors and this pattern. For size reference, I’m wearing a small.

So, what is so great about this bag?

• The tote is made of 100% genuine leather and all the hardware has been reinforced.

I absolutely LOVE the look of a well-loved bag. It’s important to realize that because it is real leather, the distinctive features of the surface will have pores, wrinkles, scars and uneven color, showing a retro and distressed style. I think that’s what gives a bag it’s charm and makes it look high end. Mine is still “clean” right now, but I look forward to it showing some signs of wear.

This bag also has a rectangular insert on the bottom which helps it hold its shape and not sag when it’s full. I really prefer a bag with a hard bottom, especially if I’m going to carry my laptop in it.

I have a bag very similar to this (from a boutique brand) that’s over twice the price at $250. And although that bag is gorgeous too, it’s more floppy, and I happen to really appreciate the structure of this bag.

The lighting is messing with the picture below (the true color is deeper and richer like in the pics above), but I still wanted to show it because I wanted you to see the insert. I love how the insert can hold just about everything you need to carry in a tote, but it keeps the inside of the bag looking nice and organized.

The tote holds my 15″ laptop nicely, and it still leaves room for my other essentials.

Okay, back to clothes!

This sassy leopard twist sleeve tee is so fun for fall. The pattern, the sleeves, the fit…it’s all fun! I’m wearing it with light denim here, but I know it will look really sharp with black denim too. For size reference, I’m wearing a medium.

For those of you that like a relaxed and slightly boxy fit, this chunky ribbed cardigan is for you! This one comes in black, mushroom (what I’m wearing), a creamy white, and a dark mustard. I think it looks like something you could get for over $100 at Banana Republic. There are a couple of reviews that mention it doesn’t wash up great, so I think I’ll be taking it to the dry cleaners.  For size reference, I’m wearing a small.

And here’s the same cardi in “olive oil”. It’s really hard to describe the color. It’s kind of a dark mustard, but it also leans green. It’s fine unbuttoned, but I think it looks the cutest all buttoned up.

Officially, this is the “rust heather”, but I think it’s more of a brick red. The color is gorgeous and obviously perfect for fall. I’m wearing the small here. The sizing is generous. The fit of this one would make it perfect to wear with leggings as well. I think it would look awesome with my faux leather leggings (I wear the petite medium in the leggings).

Okay! Get ready because it’s the batwing cocoon cardigan again! Before I was wearing it with a white tee, skinny jeans, and booties. Now I’m wearing it with my rust tee, straight leg jeans, and mules. I love both looks.

Another great fall outfit combo. How pretty is the camel with the rust?

This is a cardi that’s great for running around town, but it’s definitely nice enough for the office as well. I’ve had this one for a couple of years now, and it still looks awesome. It’s light weight, and it’s an open design that lays perfectly. For size reference, I’m wearing a medium. This one comes in 21 colors, and most sizes and colors are under $30. It’s a great buy and a perfect closet basic.

If you need something super warm, I’ve got you covered with this full zip sherpa. This will be a go to for me, especially at the ranch around the campfire! Talk about a great basic…

Do y’all remember this steal of a bag I first found last year at Nordstrom? Well, right now you can get the exact same bag on Amazon for $15 OFF! It looks like a designer bag, and I love how edgy it is. Now, it is a bit heavier than any of my other bags I own, but it’s worth it.

SHOES AND ACCESSORIES

So now that I’ve shown you lots of outfit ideas, let’s talk about the shoes that you saw in some of the outfits above. I have a couple here that you haven’t seen yet today, but you have seen them in the past and I reach for them often. I think it’s helpful to show them like this, all in one place…

I’ve always thought that mules are the perfect shoe to help transition you into fall.

This floral pattern spoke to me. These are so cute with sweaters and jeans! Or with black work pants! This is a great little shoe that really makes a statement. Comfy and true to size.

These are from the same maker, but in a classic leopard. The reviews on these mules are excellent, and they’re an awesome deal at under $40. Comfy and true to size.

These are very similar to Sam Edelman mules, but this price is definitely better. I love the chunky gold chain and the style they will bring to outfits. Comfy and true to size.

Click HERE for the chunky booties seen below. These are from last year and I loved them and wore them constantly. Mine are the “light brown”, but there are several other very similar neutrals to choose from as well as white, cognac, black, snakeskin and others. The block heel, the pointy toe, and the deep cut out on the side all look awesome. They zip up the back, so they are very easy to get off and on. And listen, I clicked around, and all sizes and colors appear to be UNDER $50. What a deal! There’s a super similar pair available at Nordstrom right now, so these are a great more affordable option.

I think these are quite comfy and they are true to size for me. If you are often between sizes, I think I would recommend going down 1/2 a size.

I bought a pair of neutral wedge sneakers that I absolutely loved several years ago, and it appears they are still well stocked! I find that I love throwing on a wedge sneaker with a lot of my casual fall outfits. They’re a step up from a pair of regular sneakers, but they are obviously more casual than a typical bootie.

These wedge sneakers are an incredible deal. All colors available are under $35, and many are under $30 right now. The ones I have are the “taupe”, and I like the perforations on the side and the band across the top. The fit is really cute and they are super comfy. True to size for me.

And these mesh sneakers are freaking fantastic.  Mine are the “apricot”, but I think they are more of a nice neutral taupe with maybe a hint of blush. True to size for me.

These sneakers are like no other sneakers I’ve ever had. They almost feel like a thick and tight sock when wearing them, but they are obviously shoes because of the soles and the tread on the bottom. I talked about these a lot last year, and tons of you purchased them. One reader said she “wore them all over Europe with no pain” and another said that she “pops them in the washing machine and they come out perfectly”. Another said that she wears them without socks “but they never get stinky like her Converse“. All really good information, right?

They come in TONS of colors and go on easily with just a little tug on the tabs in the back.

Do y’all remember the lululemon sweatshirt dupes I introduced to you last week? Well, we are talking about them again. BECAUSE THEY ARE AWESOME.  If you’re a lululemon fan, you are going to love these.

All the reviewers are saying they are perfect dupes for the lulu sweatshirts that are all the rage right now, and they really are! You can find all the lulu sweatshirts HERE for comparison. And goodness, they do look VERY similar, but the ones I’m highlighting today are a mere FRACTION of the price.

Here are the 3 options they have on Amazon, and I’m showing two of them today styled in outfits. One of them is still on its way to me (the one in the middle had a long shipping time for the color and size I wanted – I got the pink).

The reviews on all 3 sweatshirts are excellent.

This one is the full zip with the hood, its fleece lined, it’s got thumbholes, and it has a really cool collar (seen better on the site). I showed you the olive in a large last week, but this is the black in a medium. The medium still has plenty of room for me, but it’s more cropped like it’s supposed to be. The sweatshirt is quite warm, and it’s so dang cute! I style it several times for you in today’s post.

Y’all. These joggers are incredible. They are a “soft cloud fleece”. I don’t know exactly what that means, but I do know I love it and that they are suuuuuuuuuuuper soft. They aren’t too tight or restrictive, but they are fitted and super flattering. For size reference, I’m wearing a small.

Back to the black sweatshirt, but now I’ve paired it with a fantastic pair of leggings. These are the 7/8 leggings that everybody swears are a perfect dupe for the lululemon Align leggings. Now, I wouldn’t know because I’ve never even tried the Aligns, but I do know that I think these are incredible. THEY FEEL LIKE BUTTER. I’m wearing the black, but they come in many colors. For size reference, I’m wearing a small.

And look how fun these leggings are! I’m wearing the rose/black. I will say, I recommend that when you wear this particular color that you make sure you cover your hiney and crotchal region. These sneakers are one of my newer purchases and they are ON SALE! I love the retro vibe. Mine are the “Phantom/Dessert Pink”, but they actually come in 18 different color combinations. They are extremely comfortable and true to size for me. I was wearing these in all of the athleisure outfits above.

About a month or so ago, Chris and I started walking a couple of miles together every morning. I found out really quickly that it was wayyyyyyyy better to wear shorts where the undies were attached, so I grabbed these running shorts. I mean, I don’t run in them, but they are perfect for walking as well. 😉 I’m wearing the navy in a medium.

This tunic sweatshirt is awesome y’all. It’s quite similar to the Social Threads tunic sweatshirt I’ve been talking about for the last couple of weeks, but there are some differences that I want to outline.

This Amazon one is lined with a light fleece, so it’s actually a bit cozier than the Social Threads version.

HOWEVER, I do think the Social Threads one is a bit more flattering.

Also, the Amazon version’s pockets are smaller and not really very functional because it’s hard to actually get your hands in them easily.

Still, even with the pitfalls of the Amazon one, I still really like it. And I really love this color. It’s a bit more affordable, so that’s another check in the PRO column too.

This tiered peplum tee is one I showed you before with denim shorts. If you remember, I bought 3 blue tees recently so I could wear a team color to Carter’s football games. I’m wearing them right now with denim shorts, but I hope to be transitioning to jeans soon.  This tee comes in countless colors, as well as sleeveless and long sleeve options. Okay, Ladies.  Listen up.  If you don’t have a military jacket, fix that right this second.

This particular military jacket is FANTASTIC. I’m wearing the “surplus”, but it comes in 6 additional colors. The fit is SO CUTE. The jacket is very flattering, and I love the stand-up collar. It’s got a little bit of stretch in it, which makes it very comfy, and not restrictive at all like other similar jackets sometimes are. Most of the colors and sizes are right around $40. For size reference, I’m wearing a 6. It has EXCELLENT ratings.

I wanted to show the white tee that I’m wearing above with the military jacket because I wanted you to see the fit without anything layered over it.

This tee is a relaxed fit without being sloppy, and it’s great both on its own and layered. I love the swingy fit. For size reference, I’m wearing a small. I’m wearing it below in all of the pictures with different cardigans as well. It really is a perfect layering piece for fall.

This leopard cardigan is FABULOUS. It’s soooooooooo soft, and the quality is excellent. I’m wearing the “C-Beigeleopard” here and it’s perfect. Be careful because some cardigans on the same link are more of a waffle knit, but this one definitely isn’t a waffle knit. It will look great with regular denim, black denim, grey denim (as seen here), and it’s for sure nice enough to wear to the office. For size reference, I’m wearing a small.

Y’all know I love all types of cardigans. A cardi is just so dang versatile, and I love the option of peeling off a layer if it gets too warm.  I’ve had great luck with these Amazon cardis. They are soooo soft and they can be worn year round. You’ve seen this crewneck cardigan before on me in both camel and black. It’s a really great cardigan. Totally classic and an incredible value at under $25.  For size reference, I’m wearing a small.

This hooded pullover is fabulous and looks much more expensive than it is. It comes in 6 colors, all great for fall. I love it here in “caramel”, but totally think of it as more of a warm rust. For size reference, I’m wearing a small. Size up for a more generous fit.

And check out this batwing pullover! First of all, the ratings are EXCELLENT. Secondly, you won’t even believe how soft this sweater is. It’s stupid soft, crazy cozy, and DARLING. I have it pulled up at my waist here, but the next picture will show you that it’s actually tunic length.

This bat wing cardigan is very cocoon-ish, in like the best way possible. I’m wearing the “a-mocha”, but it comes in over 20 colors.  Most colors are on sale right now, making this a great deal! The forearms are definitely super fitted, so if you don’t like tight things on your arms, beware. The tightness doesn’t bother me, and I like the way it makes the cardi look. This is listed as a chunky knit open cardigan, but I think it’s a popcorn knit. It’s a boyfriend fit, covers the bum, and is soft and stretchy with quite a bit of give. I’m wearing a small for a close fit, but I think I might prefer the more relaxed fit of the medium.

These relaxed fit joggers are a total steal for under $25. These are lighter weight than the ones I posted with the sweatshirt near the beginning of the post. Wear them while lounging at home for sure, but they’re definitely nice and cute enough to wear around town as well! For size reference, I’m wearing a small.

Check out this leopard weekender bag! I had a reader recommend this to me a couple of years ago. AND Y’ALL, it’s awesome. It’s definitely roomy enough to pack yourself up for a weekend away, but it’s not too big that once full it’s too hard to carry. The strap is cushy and comfortable on your shoulder, and I love that it has a separate compartment for shoes on the bottom. It’s a FABULOUS value at just under $45. I’ve taken this on countless trips and HIGHLY RECOMMEND it.

This boxy pullover sweater is just my style. This color is officially called “lilac”, but I feel like it’s closer to a really beautiful pale blush. The quality is amazing, and I love the ribbed neck, cuffs, and hem. I’m wearing a medium in this picture, but I returned it for a small and was happy with the fit.

1) this cardigan – The shape is so unique!

2) this tee – I’m going to buy it in two more colors. It’s the perfect tee. I’m soooo happy I found it!

3) this sweatshirt – It’s still like 150 degrees where I live, but I’m still finding reasons to wear it. Like I wore it to the grocery store earlier this week because I almost always freeze in the grocery store. The young girl ringing up my groceries asked me if I was hot, but I thought she asked me if I was high. I was soooo confused, but that’s another story for another day. 😉

4) chunky hoop earrings / medallion necklace / gold bracelet set – My accessories get a spot, because even though I’ve owned them for a good long while, they’ve stood the test of time.

5) this cardigan – So cute, so comfy, and a bit unique with the pattern!
