Looking back through my posts over the past month or so, I realize I’ve become clutch obsessed. OBSESSED I TELL YA! I mean, I’ve carried a clutch here and there over the past several years, but I guess I’ve never really given them much thought. Well, I’ve come to realize that a great clutch is the perfect little accessory to help make an outfit! Especially an outfit that you don’t want to mess up with a big bag thrown over your shoulder that doesn’t match. I’ve found that a clutch can be that certain something your outfit needs to make you feel completely put together. So, now that I’ve declared my love for clutches, I thought I would show you a couple that are in my closet right now!
THIS is my newest clutch. I bought it to go specifically with a white dress (that you’ll see in a minute), but there is no doubt that I’m going to be reaching for it time and time again. It’s a great size, I love the classic envelope shape, and it incorporates lots of different colors (so it will go with lots of different outfits)!
This time I paired the clutch with my white pants from Monday’s post and a pretty magenta top. I’m smitten with scalloped edges, so I knew I had to give this top a try. I think the neckline is so pretty and interesting, and the back is really pretty too! And please take a second to notice the $18 tassel necklace and the nude patent strappy sandals! I bought the heels last year to go with a turquoise lace dress that I was wearing to a family wedding, and I was very happy with their look and their comfort throughout the night! They come in tons of color choices as well!
For size reference, I’m wearing a small in the top (true to size) and a 4 in the pants (true to size – but if between sizes, I would suggest ordering down 1 size in the pants).
And just in case you are wondering….yes, that is me on my front porch taking selfies in front of a mirror that I hauled out there. When it’s overcast and you can’t get good light inside the house for a pic, you just take the show outside. Seriously. And purely fyi, I might have jumped behind a front porch pillar each time I heard a car go down the street. #bloggerproblems

And just for fun, I changed up the above outfit just a bit to make it more casual. I threw on what I believe are the BEST EVER WHITE JEANS (true to size, I’m wearing a 4) and my favorite cork wedges (order 1/2 a size up). Now, if you remember, people tend to either love or hate these jeans… I just happen to love them.
And can you even believe that THIS NECKLACE is ONLY $18? Take a minute if you have to. It comes in white and black (in addition to turquoise), it’s the perfect size, and the tassel is sparkly and pretty! If you have a small budget for Mother’s Day, THIS SHOULD BE YOUR GIFT!
Before we move to another outfit, let’s talk briefly about THIS bra. Remember, it’s the don’t even feel like you are wearing a strapless strapless. It’s the you might even wear it when a strapless isn’t required strapless. It’s the don’t rip it off at the end of the day in a fit of rage strapless. TRUST. It’s the best strapless in the world and the only one you will ever need. You need to somehow manage to get over the fact that it’s $65 (I feel your pain, really I do)…AND JUST BUY IT ALREADY. And if you want to send me a fruit bouquet or a muffin basket afterwards, just message me for my address.
Okay. Back to the clutch. I originally purchased the clutch to go with this dress. I was going to have an entire post focused on this darling little dress, but sadly it started selling out. Currently, you can still get it in 2R-6R (but I think there is limited stock of the remaining sizes) or 2P-14P. For size reference, I’m almost 5’4″, and I purchased a 4 petite. It’s short on me, but that’s how I like it! 😉 My deepest apologies for the sub-par picture with the toilet paper roll in the background (oopsie)…but it’s the only picture I have of the dress so far! #badblogger
And I know y’all are now super familiar with my monogrammed cork clutch because you’ve been seeing it CONSTANTLY. I originally needed it for THIS dress (almost sold out), and I had no idea how much I would be carrying it! AND FANTASTIC NEWS! Jenny at Grateful Bags has been so thankful for all of y’alls orders and sweet feedback that she has extended the discount code AGAIN! Use SHEAFFER20 for 20% OFF your entire order!!!!
For size reference, I’m wearing a 4P in the dress.
Since the above dress is just about sold out, I wanted to give you some more options of dresses that would look great paired with the cork clutch and wedges.
Remember Monday’s post where I paired the clutch with a floral top and white pants, and everybody went crazy over it? Well, here I am wearing the same outfit in front of our brunch spot: Sissy’s Southern Kitchen.
I know lots of you were bummed that the top and pants had sold out, so I have FANTASTIC NEWS for y’all! I found another source for the white ponte pants and the floral top!!!! So many of you were devastated (and I’m not even being dramatic…some e-mails from y’all communicated DEVASTATION! ha!) that you weren’t able to snag this outfit for yourself. Thanks to some reader tips, we now know that both the floral top and the are pants currently available at Lord and Taylor!
Now that the top is available, I wanted to show you a couple of more ways to wear it to highlight it’s versatility.
Here I am in a very similar outfit, I just made it more casual with white cropped jeans, and I changed out my abalone earrings for some bright white ones!
And here I paired it with my favorite ankle skinny jeans for more of a girl’s night out look!
And just for fun…a couple of other times I’ve carried clutches in the past that you’ve already seen…

This is another fun clutch I own (just to prove my clutch love to you), but sadly it is unavailable. But you can still see how the clutch makes the outfit!

In case you would still like to see some other choices, I’ve rounded up some of my favorites that are currently available. I should mention that if you are willing to pay almost $300 for a clutch, THIS leopard Claire V. one would make anybody happy. Well, except my hubby. It would NOT make my hubby happy. 😉
And I’m sorry, but how FREAKING CUTE is THIS BABY?!? It’s embroidered, it has tassels, AND A TICKING lining!
Well, what about you girls? Are you as crazy about clutches as I am? Leave a comment with your thoughts. Are y’all ALL ABOUT THAT CLUTCH, ‘BOUT THAT CLUTCH…? 😉
