HAPPY FRIDAY FRIENDS!
I literally thought it might never get here.
I’ve been tired all week long because I’ve been burning the midnight oil just trying to
 make sure I get everything done.
Want proof?
Well, one night I was trying to finish up a blog post, and Carter asked me to come get in our bed with him while he watched a movie.
So I did.
And then I proceeded to fall asleep like 20 times before finishing the post.
The next morning my hubby texted me this picture with the following message:
“Just another day at the Pinterest Told Me To offices.”
He thinks he’s so clever. 😉

LOOK AT ME!
I’m completely asleep, and my hands are on the keyboard READY TO GO.
Awesome.

So, today’s post is about MY NEW CONVERSE!

Until about a month ago, I never owned (or even had the desire to own) a pair of Converse.
I liked them on other people, I just never really wanted them for myself.

And then I continued to see them out in blog land and on Pinterest.
And slowly but surely, all of the images started to creep into my head.
And all of a sudden, I COULD NOT LIVE ANOTHER DAY without a pair.
Pinterest’s message to get a pair of Converse was loud and clear.
 And I think we’ve learned that when Pinterest talks, I listen.
That’s another phrase that should be needelpointed on a pillow for me.
Or at the very least slapped on a bumpersticker.

So, when Pinterest spoke to me this time, her message was simple:
BUY AND WEAR CONVERSE
So I did.
And I have.
And I’m LOVING them.
Go ahead and put another one on the board for Pinterest.

I want to share with you some of my favorite inspiration photos I found that convinced me that I needed some Converse for myself.
Pinterest is MIGHTY convincing.
And pushy.

All of those images are pretty convincing!
They all have this cool and laid back (BUT SUPER CUTE AT THE SAME TIME) vibe.
Which is pretty much the look that I’m going for most of the time.  🙂

And look at these looks with some dark converse.
Totally DYING over that look on the far left.  How darling is she?!
And I never in a million years would have thought I would be a fan of the black ones.  But I am.
I totally am!

So…I bought some with some Christmas money.  Merry Christmas to ME!
I guess because I didn’t have anything in my closet like this prior to ordering I was extra excited about receiving them.  I mean really, the excitement level was off the charts.

These are more expensive than the normal converse, but I liked the red stripe.

I’m a 6-6 1/2 depending on the shoe, and I ordered a 5 1/2 in these!

This next outfit was the first outfit I pinned after I ordered my converse.
It was super simple, and I already had all of the needed pieces.

I’ve had this one on before and loved it!  However, the description says lightweight and I would describe it as heavier I think (if I remember correctly).  Still, I loved it, and if you are looking for warmth too, this one would be a great option!

I could wear both of the above looks with tall boots too, but I really like the overall vibe that the converse gives the looks.  Also, I’ve found that my converse not only look great with my MUST HAVE cuffed jeans (sold out) , but also with my distressed skinny jeans HERE .

    Hi Sheaffer! Yesterday I had on a pair of the jeans you had recommended (Kut from the Kloth), a military jacket, and a coral shirt for an appointment I had. My husband came home and kept saying how nice I looked. Finally, he asked, "Is that outfit from that little gal you read everyday?" That made me laugh that you were on his radar. Anyway, I felt so put together yesterday and wanted to tell you. It's funny how much better I felt about myself all day.Thanks again!

    I just wanted to put in a bit of a review for the cardi from Nordstrom. I bought the one on the left in the picture above. I thought it looked so cute online, but when it was delivered I saw that it was really, really thing-like, you could see your hand through the material. I was bummed and ended up returning it. Loved this post! I look forward to it every day!

    I am dying to hear about a new Military jacket! I left mine behind at a restaurant last weekend and of course no one turned it in…I loved that jacket! Whenever I wore it I always got compliments, sorry to saying was not one of the ones you have suggested but I found it shortly after you strongly suggested getting one last spring/summer. I have admired the jackets you have mentioned on PTMT but I didn't jump at the chance because I already had one…I need a new Military Jacket!

    I think I may be jumping on the Converse train myself soon. My main hesitation is that I have size 9.5 feet and I don't want them to make my feet look like clodhoppers {is that even a word?- ha!!}. They look great on you and Lindsey at The Pleated Poppy always looks so darn comfy and cute in hers! 🙂

    I so love your blog! Although I am much older (65 years young) than most of your followers, I am able to find styles that are age appropriate for me. For instance, the Sam Edelman Domenica flats, I adore. Was able to purchase them through http://www.6pm.com for $77 a few weeks ago. They have become my new neutral go-to-flat. Have appreciated the points on leggings–they are not pants! Ordered the puffer vest from Goodnight Macaroon and awaiting its arrival. Was a bit surprised to see that it was shipping from Hong Kong! Perhaps you addressed this in your blog when you introduced us to this boutique and I didn't see it. But I feel this would be helpful information for those interested in purchasing through their website. Do you know if there will be additional fees because it is an international package? Thanks so much!

      Hi there! Thank you for your comment and question. I did address the fact that it was shipping from Hong Kong on my post on Monday (the 13th). They do a large international business, and it makes the most since for them to have their distribution center located there. No additional fees will be charged, just the shipping amount that was applied to your card when you checked out. If you happen to return something, your shipping charges will be refunded on top of your refund for the item. Hope this answers your question!

    I think the Converse shoes look so cute on you but I just don't know if I can pull them off. But every time I see that sweater with the plaid part sticking it out I want it more and more.     I am super excited that Goodnight Macaroon is going to be offering larger sizes!!! I love so many things but even when I'm not pregnant, I don't think anything they sell will fit as I am a L/XL. I love the converse on you. I have been thinking about buying some for myself because my 2.5 year old son LOVES his (and he is extremely picky already). Seriously, he would've declared them a must have a year ago if he could read 🙂 He loves his gray ones best, then his navy ones, then his black ones. He is asking for red ones next. My child is shoe crazy at 2.5 and I love it!!!

    I love Goodnight Macaroons stuff, its all so cute. However, their sizes run VERY small, especially when you are looking at the pics of the models/actresses in the items and you get yours and its not even close. I typically wear a small/medium and ordered a large sweater (to be on the safe side) and it was still too small (short in the arms and body). I was very disappointed. I would definitely tell your readers to size up at least two sizes.
