PRODUCT REVIEW
Okay, Ladies!
In honor of the EPIC SALE, I’m going to do a little review on all of the products I own so you can be super informed while shopping the sale!
These pieces are items I use AND LOVE every single day. They make my life easier (because they are so wonderful to cook with and so easy to clean), and they make my life happier (because I love looking at them). I whole heartedly recommend them to you for your own kitchen, and again, I also think they make EXCELLENT gifts.
Purchased together: Home Cook Duo – (Always Pan + Perfect Pot) $315 value on sale for $199!
Purchased separately: Always Pan – Regularly $150, on sale for $99! / Perfect Pot – Regularly $165, on sale for $115!
Let’s Talk About The Always Pan…
Being able to grab the Always Pan right now for $51 OFF is an insane deal.
Let’s kick things off just talking about how pretty this pan is. BECAUSE SHE’S A REAL BEAUTY. In fact, she’s so pretty that after each use I wash her and then put her right back on the stove. There are 12 colors in stock right now, so there is something for everybody!
The Always Pan comes with a lid, a metal steamer basket/colander, 2 easy pour spouts, a stay cool handle, and a wooden spatula (and built-in notch and rest for that spatula). It’s CRAZY how much I’ve grown to love the built-in spoon rest. It’s just so dang convenient! There’s also a special sponge included that makes clean up so easy. Is it weird to love a sponge? #askingforafriend
It’s got a non-stick coating and it’s PFA and PTFE free. I love that it’s cookware that you can feel good about. It’s compatible with all cook tops, which is a frequently asked question. Click HERE for other frequently asked questions and answers.
You can braise, sear, steam, strain, sauté, fry, boil, serve, and store with the Always Pan.
And listen, I’m not the only person who is crazy for this pan. Oprah, The New York Times, and Food & Wine magazine all love it. Plus, pretty much all my favorite bloggers sing its praises as well. At one point, this pan had a waitlist of over 30,000 people. So thankful that they’ve ramped up production and seem to be able to keep it in stock now! Still, super popular colors often sell out during sales, so grab what you want quickly!
And the blue salt…
Let’s Talk About The Perfect Pot…
The Perfect Pot is just as pretty as the Always Pan, and right now there are 12 colors to choose from. This is the “blue salt”.
Y’all know I already owned the Always Pan in the blue salt, so I decided to get the pot in the same color. I had a hard time deciding because I also think it would be fun to mix and match colors, but I ultimately decided to stick with the blue because I think it goes best with my decor.
The Perfect Pot includes the following:
- 5.5 QT Cast Aluminum Pot (Big enough to cook for a crowd! Holds 22 cups!)
- Cast Aluminum Straining Lid
- Beechwood Spoon with Patent-Pending Notch System
- Cast Aluminum Nonstick Roasting Rack (that doubles as a steamer)
It’s also got a non-stick coating and it’s PFA and PTFE free. It’s compatible with all cooktops, and you can also put this in an oven up to 425 degrees! This is a great feature because there are many recipes that require me to take the pot from the stove top to the oven.
The Perfect Pot is a dutch oven, stock pot, saucepan, roasting rack, steamer, colander and braiser ALL IN ONE. WOW! And I can’t emphasize enough how much I love the wooden spoon it comes with. It also has a perfectly-sized pour spout which always comes in super handy. When I make pasta in the pot, I am able to drain the water before adding the sauce to the pan. When I make taco meat in the pot, I am able to drain the grease with ease.
These grooves are what enables the spoon to rest perfectly on the handle, which means it’s always right where you need it.
And this nesting roasting rack doubles as a steamer!
I love my Perfect Pot. I’ve cooked the following in my pot: a countless number of soups, tons of different pastas, beans, rice, quinoa, a roast, a roast chicken, and large amounts of taco meat (when I was cooking for a crowd and the skillet wasn’t big enough). It’s awesome. Plus, it just looks great! I keep both my pot and my pan on the stove at all times!
And right now it’s $50 OFF!
Let’s talk about the Ovenware Set…
I’m using all of the pieces from this set all the time.
Ovenware Set – Regularly $195, on sale for $150!!!
The 5-piece Ovenware Set includes the following:
- 1 5QT Cast Aluminum Roasting Pan (The Oven Pan)
- 3 Ceramic Bakers – Main Bake, Side Bake & Tiny Bake
- 1 Silicone Baking Mat (not pictured, but seen later in the post)
The set is easy to use, beautifully designed, and will change the way you cook. The number of sheet pan meals I’ve made since getting the big pan is impressive.
This should come as no surprise, but my new Our Place Ovenware Set coordinates beautifully with my other Our Place pieces. There are several colors to choose from when deciding on your Ovenware Set, so there’s something for everybody.
I decided that instead of matching my Always Pan and Perfect Pot exactly, I wanted something that just coordinated with my other pieces. I think that the spice Ovenware Set looks awesome with my blue salt Perfect Pot and Always Pan (not pictured).
And I hate to play favorites, but the Oven Pan (NOW SOLD SEPARATELY!) has quickly become my ride or die piece from the set. I LOVE IT SO MUCH. You definitely need to grab it for yourself during this SUPER SALE!
HERE’S WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT THE OVEN PAN:
The Oven Pan can be used for baking, roasting, crisping & cooking. Additionally, the Oven Pan can be used as a griddle on gas & electric stoves. It’s also deep enough to capture lots of juices.
The Oven Mat is a nonstick surface on the Oven Pan when baking & a surface to roll out dough. The print doubles as a 1” measurement. It replaces single-use parchment paper and tinfoil – sustainable and beautiful! Only to be used in the oven.
Heats up quickly in the oven, great for baking cookies.
The Oven Pan has PTFE- and PFOA-free ceramic nonstick interior in their exclusive formulation. Bakers have a naturally non-stick glaze, which means easy clean up!
Oven-safe to 450 degrees F.
And I love that the Oven Pan performs so well in the oven AND serves my food so beautifully!
I use the Our Place Oven Pan every single week to roast veggies. I roast them 1 time, and then I have leftovers to grab from for all sorts of dishes during the week. I drizzle the veggies with olive oil and then season with salt, pepper, and a little bit of garlic powder. They come out so tender and so flavorful. I roasted this batch on 425 for 30 minutes.
Delicata Squash and Butternut Squash (from Trader Joe’s) are my new favorite veggies to roast.
Let’s Talk About The Cast Iron Always Pan…
The Cast Iron Always Pan is another relatively new addition to my cooking arsenal.
Cast Iron Always Pan (Regularly $155, on sale for $115)
Here’s what you need to know about the Cast Iron Always Pan:
This pan is EVERYTHING I love about the original nonstick Always Pan, BUT IT IS NOW AVAILABLE IN AN ENAMEL CAST IRON! We’re talking heirloom-quality and super-easy-to-care-for, so get excited!
In fact, it doesn’t require all of the care and upkeep that you are used to with typical cast iron, AND IT LOOKS SO GOOD! It comes in several of Our Place’s signature colors, but I actually went with the “char” for myself, even though I’ve gone for bolder colors in all of my other pieces. I think it’s fun to mix and match.
And check it out, this cast iron pan comes with a lid!
The Cast Iron Always Pan is compatible with all types of stovetops (even induction!), it creates even heating with no hot spots, and it boasts maximum heat retention. With the lid, the pan is oven safe up to 425°F. Without the lid, it’s oven and broiler safe up to 500°F! WOW!
I love this thing.
Let’s Talk About My Our Place Knives…
It’s not just their cookware that I love. I love the Our Place knives AND THEY ARE ON SALE TOO!
This is their Everyday Chef’s Knife. Made from premium German steel, this knife is perfect for slicing, dicing, and mincing everything from dainty herbs to sturdy root vegetables. And check this out… We had leftover steak and Carter LOVES a steak sandwich on a crusty roll. Looks at the thin slices I am able to cut with the everyday knife! The knife is legit.
everyday knife/ walnut cutting board
The Serrated Slicing Knife is of course perfect for slicing crusty bread and it slices tomatoes better than any other knife I’ve ever used.
serrated slicing knife / walnut cutting board
You can also buy the Knife Trio, which I would actually recommend because you can get all 3 knives for a super reduced price. Buy them for yourself for sure, but this set would also make a great gift. Knives make an awesome gift for the men in your life.
knife trio / walnut cutting board
They all come with these sheaths to protect the blades and allow for easy storage. Seriously, if you don’t have a set of good knives, I highly recommend this trio. And listen, until you own nice knives, you have no idea how much joy they will bring you. Chris and I are amazed every time we use them.
If you want the knives and the cutting board, you can grab the Fully Prepped Bundle. Regularly $265, only $165 right now! That’s $100 off!
knife trio (Regularly $170, ONLY $99 right now!) / or the Fully Prepped Bundle

THANKSGIVING SIDES
And because it’s November 6th, I have 3 Thanksgiving side dishes to share with y’all today.
We’ve got Brussels Sprouts with Bacon and Apricot Jam, Mashed Potato Casserole, and Crack Carrots.
Always Pan / Ovenware Set / OR the Oven Pan – NOW SOLD SEPARATELY!
I’m almost embarrassed to share my Mashed Potato Casserole recipe with y’all. But it’s so dang good that I’m just going to get over myself and share. Here goes… You buy Bob Evans refrigerated mashed potatoes (it’s insane how good they are), microwave them for a couple of minutes to make them easier to stir, and then scoop them out into your own dish (this is the important part). Ha! Add butter, sour cream cheese, bacon bits, and chives. Bake until warm and bubbly. The end.
I’m telling you, people will ask you for the recipe. Sure, you’ll be a little shy to give it to them, but you will because you’ll also be a little bit proud at how smart you are.
The Mashed Potato Casserole is in just 1 of the 3 ceramic bakers that is included in the Ovenware Set. This is just 1 family size tray of the Bob Evens potatoes, but when I actually take this dish to Thanksgiving, I use 2-3 of the Family Size trays.
I don’t know about y’all, but a lot of times on Thanksgiving, my plate is a sea of white. Just carbs on carbs on carbs.
I often try to bring something green (which we will get to it in a second), but these Crack Carrots caught my eye on Pinterest. I liked the idea of a good-for-you vegetable, and I loved that these carrots were savory and not sweet. Roasting them on the Oven Pan was so easy. This recipe only took about 5 minutes to put together! If Thanksgiving is at your home, you can serve them right off of this pan if you’d like!
You can get this Oven Pan in the Ovenware Set, OR you can now buy the pan on its own!
I was so excited to learn that the Oven Pan is NOW SOLD SEPARATELY! I use this pan ALL. THE. TIME.
I used the new Daily Board and the new Shear Genius kitchen shears (only $20 right now!) to prep the chives and the Everyday Chef’s Knife to prep the parsley for the carrots. All of these kitchen accessories are ON SALE!
The Daily Board is ON SALE FOR ONLY $32 (regularly $40). This board with the kitchen shears would make a super fun gift!
The third Thanksgiving side I’m sharing today is Brussels Sprouts! And not just any sprouts y’all…. we’re talking Bacon Jam Brussels Sprouts. These are also super simple to make, but they will be a real crowd pleaser!
Daily Board (Regularly $40, only $32 right now) / Everyday Chef’s Knife (Regularly $70, only $55 right now)
Using the kitchen shears to cut up the bacon was so easy and took no time at all! These shears are AWESOME and so affordable. At $20, these would even make a great stocking stuffer! However, they do come in their own box, so you could also wrap them up for under the tree!
Daily Board / Shear Genius kitchen shears
I browned the bacon pieces until they were crispy in the Always Pan, which I can’t believe is ONLY $99 RIGHT NOW. That’s $51 OFF!
One of the many things I love about the Always Pan is the little spout I’m pointing to right here. I use this to drain grease out of the pan whenever I need to (browning taco meat, frying bacon, etc). It’s so simple, but such a wonderful feature to have. I use it all the time.
After draining the excess bacon grease, I added apricot jam and apple cider vinegar to the pan.
And then I tossed the roasted Brussels (I roasted them in the oven for about 40 minutes on 425) into the pan and tossed them in the bacon and jam mixture.
DELICIOUS.
Seriously YUM. And it’s something GREEN for your Thanksgiving plate!
Our Place Always Pan (Regularly $150, on sale for $99!)
I made all 3 sides in like 40 minutes and all at the same time, and I used some of my favorite Our Place pieces to do it! I have to admit, I was pretty proud.
And the boys were pretty impressed.
And just in case you are celebrating Thanksgiving somewhere other than your own home, you can use all of the ceramic bakers from the Ovenware Set to transport and serve all of your food!

I’m telling you, you will be SO PROUD to give any of these pieces to loved ones! They will think of you every single time they use one of their pieces, which for some of them, will be every day! Don’t sleep on THE BIGGEST OUR PLACE SALE OF THE YEAR!
Erika Slaughter says
I LOVE the oven pan!!
Betsy says
If you had to pick one piece to give as a gift (to someone who doesn’t own any pieces) what would you recommend?
Thank you!
Sheaffer says
Hi, Betsy! Hmmmm, this is a good question. I truly love the always pan, the perfect pot, and the oven pan. You can’t go wrong with any of them. Can you tell me a bit about who this person cooks for (just self? large family?).
Marla says
Hey Sheaffer! I hope this makes sense. Our Place came out with the amazing cast iron pan which is awesome . Then, they came out with a larger size cast iron pan which I intended to get. I do not see it on their site. Do you know what the deal is? Are they just not offering it at a sale price or has it been discontinued already? I hope the latter is not the case . If you have any information I would appreciate it . Thank you
Sheaffer says
Hi, Marla! Gosh, I have no idea. I actually never knew that they came out with a larger cast iron pan. I don’t have a current contact, so my best advice is just for you to contact the company. I’m so sorry I’m not more help! 🙁
Marla says
Thank you for getting back with me .
Toni says
The potatoes are such a good recipe “hack”. Can you by chance share the exact measurements? I need to feed 15 this Thanksgiving and don’t want to peel and cut that many potatoes. Thanks!
Sheaffer says
Hi, Toni! For 15, I would do 3 Family Size Bob Evans containers. I have no idea on measurements though. I’ve never measured. I just throw stuff in, and it’s always delicious! xoxo
