It’s the 9th Day of Christmas, and I’m sorry to say, there aren’t 9 ladies dancing.
But if you give me a Christmas cocktail, I promise to hop on a table and do a little jig.

OKAY!  Now that we’ve shopped the SALE, it’s time to ORGANIZE OUR CLOSETS!

I’ve  been getting some e-mails recently about my closet and how I have it organized.

So, I thought I would post my closet organization tips again!

First of all, I saw this quote on Pinterest (duh), and I think it’s SO TRUE!
Now, I just need to put it into practice.
I have soooo many old and fugly things in my closet that need to go.

So, you’re about to get a little glimpse into my closet and the little things I use to help me make my closet work for me.
For scarf organization,

THIS amazing little gadget is only $5.99 from The Container Store.
No lie.
It’s awesome.
You wouldn’t believe how may scarves it holds.
Just guess.

TWENTY-EIGHT.
It is absolutely necessary in my closet.  It keeps my scarves
accessible.  They are easy to put up, and they are easy to get out. 
It’s genius. 
(I gave one to both my sister and my sister-in-law for Christmas last year.)
 THIS canvas shelf for shoes.
I stack flats, flip flops, and wedges in this puppy.  I love it.
It would also be great for t-shirts or sweaters.

And THIS baby is magical (see it in the collage below)
It gives me a double row to hang things.  I have three of THESE in my closet.
2 on my side, and one on the hubby’s side.

  

And my newest addition to my closet (as of this summer…right after I started the blog)…
 THESE huggable hangers you see on the right. 
Are they more expensive than your average hanger?  Yes.
 Are they worth it? 
Absofreakinlutely.
They are GENIUS.
You buy them in multiples of 10.
I bought 50 the first time.
I’ve gone back two times over the last 6 months and bought 3 additional packs each time.
They make my closet so much neater and SO much more manageable.
They are not only slimmer, but they grab the fabric and things stay on the hanger better.
THESE MAKE MY CLOSET SO MUCH NEATER…AND SO MUCH MORE FUNCTIONAL!

 They are a HUGE space-saver, NOTHING slips off of them, and they just plain look nice.
Is it totally weird that this picture makes me incredibly happy?  Cause it does.  Big time.
Like, I might have caught myself smiling.

    Ikea has a great scarf hanger. The holes are bigger than Container Store's and the chunkier scarves fit in them more easily.

    I had a dream the other night that I was lost in the Container Store. This is probably due to my overwhelming need to organize SO many areas of my house. Thank goodness the closet isn't one of them. 🙂 A TOMS sale is an amazing thing!

    Oh man, I've known for a while that my closet needed some serious work, but now I am reminded of what an organized closet looks like and need to do something about it. In my defense, we moved in a year ago 2 weeks after we had my little man and we have a cape cod style house so the closet is super small and super awkward. I think I may need to call in a professional!! Love the hanger idea b/c I have clothes that slip off all the time! Thanks for sharing. 🙂

    I cleaned out my closet a few weeks ago- out went shoes and size 4 jeans that I can only dream of getting back into one day thanks to my 3 bambinos! I hated to do it, because I was getting rid of so many clothes, but as my husband said, "If you weren't wearing them anyway, does it really count?" Now, I love walking into my closet and seeing clothes that fit me right now, and I get to do a little shopping to fill it back up again! #winwin
