BLACK PLEATED PANTS

Okay. Let’s talk about these pants. Personally, they were a top find for me last year, so I was thrilled when I saw them in the sale this year.

When wearing these pants, you will look great AND it will basically feel like you are wearing lounge wear. I wasn’t sure I was going to love them because of the pleats across the front (and my tummy is my problem area), but in addition to being on trend they are also incredibly flattering. They are very stretchy, and I’m telling you, if you work in an office you will want to wear them every single day.

Notice I’m wearing different shoes in all 3 pictures below (Mary Jane’s on left, black pumps in middle, booties on right). I just wanted you to see that these pants look great with all types of footwear.

They are a substantial ponte like fabric, but they’re a medium weight and not too heavy at all. They are crazy super soft and stretchy, but they keep their shape throughout the day. They’ve got a double bar and hook closure with a hidden button and a functional zipper, but I’m telling you, you can just pull these on if you want to! Yes, they have that much give. Most size down in these, but I’m wearing my regular size 4.

WASHED BLACK JEANS

These washed black Wit and Wisdom jeans have added some much needed dimension to my closet. They’re a heavier denim and have a bit more structure than most of my WW jeans, and I’m so excited to have them. They’re good with booties, with flats, with mules, and with fashion sneakers. They hit at the ankle and they have a frayed hem. True to size for me, I’m wearing the 4.

MUST HAVE BOOT CUT JEANS

Listen. If you know, you know.

I’ve been talking about these exact jeans for years now. Seriously, YEARS. They are the most flattering pair of jeans I have ever owned. I named them a must have quite a while ago, and years later they are still one of my most worn pair of jeans. They are super comfortable and very stretchy (but they totally hold their shape throughout the day). Their claim to fame? I promise you that you will look 2 inches taller and 5-10 pounds lighter. I know that’s a bold claim, but I stand by it. 😉

This dress is a gorgeous green color, and I think it’s super special with the lace insets and ruffled and tiered skirt. It’s 100% cotton, very lightweight, and I feel great in it. The lace detailing is really beautiful, and I love this deep green paired with these suede boots. The dress also comes in black which I love too. For size reference, I’m wearing a medium.

LOOK HOW CUTE THE LACE AND RUFFLES ARE!

I’m sad to share that my exact bag is sold out (you can of course keep checking back for returns), but I found some really great and affordable options HERE on Amazon. There are lots to choose from in various shapes, colors, and sizes.

These boots must have been around last year because they already have fabulous reviews. I grabbed the beautiful “golden caramel” shown, but they come in several other suede colors and a black leather as well.

They are soft, flattering to the leg, and I’m going to love wearing them with fall dresses. UPDATE: I first shared that these were true to size, but I realized late last week that I actually went up a 1/2 size. They didn’t have my right size at the store, so I wasn’t able to actually try them, but the 1/2 size bigger fits well. I will say that my calves are on the smaller side, and the regular width are good on me. Great news though, they have a wide calf option as well.

It’s a really beautiful boot and a really great price point.

This dress is lightweight with a bit of a crinkle texture to give it some interest. The belt is removable, and while I prefer to wear it to create some waist definition, you could opt to lose the belt and wear it as a shift dress. I love the tiered skirt and the covered buttons that can be buttoned up all the way to the neck or unbuttoned to make a lower neckline. It’s a really great little dress. I’m wearing the navy-pink floral, but it also comes in a solid black and a tiny rust and navy floral. For size reference, I’m wearing a medium.

This is the “blue fog” slub tee, but there are 6 total options to choose from. The tee is lightweight, soft, and I find it to be the perfect top for leggings. It covers the bum, it’s obviously a super relaxed fit, and it has thumbholes. It’s a total steal during the N Sale at just under $30. Grab AT LEAST 1. For size reference, I’m wearing a medium in the blue (for an oversized fit like you see below). In a second you’ll see me in the light pink in a small so you can see the difference in how they fit.

Y’all know the 7/8 leggings are a favorite of mine, and I always grab a new pair every year during this sale. The 7/8 length is my favorite length. I love how they hit me right at the ankle without any extra fabric. They are high waisted and boast supportive mesh that sucks you in, and they have a side pocket for your phone! I wear a small in Zella leggings.

This full zip hoodie (on the right) is made out of an ultra-cozy fleece, so it’s definitely warm. It’s a very relaxed fit with room to move. I’m wearing a small here, but I would have gone with a medium had I wanted it a bit longer. This definitely doesn’t cover your bootie, but I like the semi-cropped fit.

I really love how the colors go so well with my new On Cloud sneakers!

I own countless pairs of these pajamas in both the short and long version. This year there are 12 solids/patterns to choose from.

Buttery soft and just wonderful to lounge around/sleep in. Plus, you’ll look so cute while lounging/sleeping. 😉 For size reference, I’m wearing a medium. The smalls fit, but I liked the little bit of extra length on the shorts, and I liked the extra roominess in the medium top too. I know I’m not alone in this, but new bras and undies make me so happy.

These are my favorites that I buy just about every year when they go on sale. They are comfy, the cups are perfectly rounded, and they make me feel great. Both of these bras AND the undies have taken the internet by storm over the last several years. They are ALL ON SALE.

If you’re somebody that doesn’t like underwire, these are the bras for you. They feel like a second skin, but they still provide great lift and support. They are great for t-shirts because they don’t show any lines or bulges. I also wear them around the house when I’m just lounging…. when I don’t want to wear a “real” bra, but I also don’t want to be flopping around all over the place. I wear mediums in these bras. I wasn’t able to get these yesterday because they were already out of my size in store by 9:30 a.m.! Seriously, these babies are going to fly off the shelf.

I fell in love with Rothy’s last year when I got my camo loafers in the fall, and I’m now a huge believer in the brand. I think these Mary Jane’s are precious AND GOOD HEAVENS they are comfy! They are soft and flexible, and you can throw them in the wash (and then let them air dry). In addition to this leopard, they also come in black, a wine, and even a neutral sparkle that is actually really great in person. True to size for me.

Regularly $159 (and worth every dang penny), but ONLY $89.99 right now. In addition to wearing these with denim, I’ll also be wearing them with black pants.

Rothy’s Mary Janes

These loafers were perhaps one of the biggest surprises of the sale for me. I don’t even remember seeing these when previewing the sale, but I thought they were super cute as soon as I laid eyes on them. AND THEN I PUT THEM ON. They are incredibly comfortable and really really cute, and the back panel has a bit of stretch to it! I got the “pinto brown”. True to size for me.

I guess they were around last year in other colorways because they already have fantastic reviews!

The reviews on these booties aren’t great, but I happen to really love them.

There are two complaints from shoppers:

1. They say the color isn’t represented well on the site. I actually agree with that comment. I ordered the “Barley Stella Suede”, and they look much lighter on the site than the boot I actually received. If you really want the lighter color (seen on the site), this ain’t it. But if you happen to like the color shown below, that’s what you’ll get.
2. Other reviewers are complaining that they are narrow. I have a narrow foot, so that’s fine with me. I actually like a narrow boot because I think it’s the most flattering to my foot.

I also really like that there’s a zipper. I find that most booties without a zipper are too hard to get off and on.

This textured pullover is just my style with a relaxed fit and overexaggerated collar with a half zip. It will be great with jeans too, but it’s a great match with these leggings and makes a perfect little set for running around town or yoga. I’m wearing a medium in the sweatshirt.

These leggings are super soft, but they still have some compression. (They aren’t available in this color, but they are in other colors.)n And I love how the high-waist sucks you in, but it’s still very comfortable. Full disclosure these are the regular length, and they are quite a bit too long on me. If you closely around the ankles, you can see that I have them rolled up a bit. The 7/8 leggings are perfect for me at 5’4″, but these regular length are a great option for you taller ladies. (Even though they aren’t a great length on me, I still grabbed them because they are the perfect match for the pullover.) For size reference, I’m wearing a small.

Well I’m sad to report that this Zella crinkle jacket isn’t in the sale, but I totally thought it was because it was hanging next to all of the NSale items. It’s super lightweight and a great top layer. I’m wearing a small in the jacket, a medium in the tee, and a small in the leggings.

Okay, full disclosure. I’m in love with this Zella skort. It’s high waisted with adorable pleats all across the back and onto the sides. It’s got shorts under it with a side pocket for tennis or pickle balls, and it’s got a zipper in the back. It’s very flattering, easy to wear, and I’m excited to add it to my closet. For size reference, I’m wearing a medium in both the top and the skirt.

What’s that? Cashmere on sale? SIGN ME UP! I actually found several great cashmere pieces this year.

I love grabbing a new color of one of these sweaters every year in the sale (I have 3 in my collection), and this year I think I’m going to go neutral with the ivory sand to add a 4th. The color is lovely. This sweater isn’t fitted, but it’s not slouchy either, it’s just a great fit. It’s soooo soft and lightweight. For size reference, I’m wearing a medium.

I love the sweater with jeans, but it also looks great with a dressy pant and will be perfect with the Wit and Wisdom pleated pants and the Wit and Wisdom black wide leg pants (both perfect for the office).

These crop straight leg jeans are what you are going to see me wearing in most of today’s pics. They are under $75 and suuuuuuuper soft and stretchy. I actually think I want them to be just a tad bit shorter on me so they can show some more ankle with sneakers and flats (I’m 5’4″ with long legs and no torso), so I’m just going to cut them off myself since they have a bit of a frayed hem.

This roll neck sweater is part cotton and part wool, but it’s not itchy at all. It’s a wonderful basic that most people would have on regular rotation in their closet. The cute little stitching at the neck and the textured cuffs with the rolled hem elevate this sweater a bit. It also comes in black, rust, blue, and a grey stripe. For size reference, I’m wearing a medium.

Y’all loved the long line cardi from last year, and it’s back. It’s longer, thinner, and dressier than a lot of the chunkier cardigans that you often see during the fall. I love it with jeans, but this would also be great for the office.This year it comes in a dark navy, a rust, a light blue, and a cognac (shown below).  For size reference, I’m wearing the x-small here, but I need a small.

The must have itty bitty boot cut jeans are still a must have in my book. If you don’t have them yet, I truly don’t know what you’re waiting for. They are the ones that are famous for making you look 5 pounds thinner (at least) and 2 inches taller. They give you legs for dayzzzzzzz. They are so stretchy, so forgiving, and incredibly flattering. Pair them with a heel or chunky booty. I’m wearing my regular size 4 (NOT petite), but the majority of people size down in these because they are sooooo stretchy and forgiving. But don’t worry, they absolutely hold their shape throughout the day.

Gosh I love a classic button up. This one also has a bit of a modern vibe with the boxy fit and the drop hem. It’s kinda cropped (as you can see on the Nordstrom site), but it’s still plenty long for me to do a half tuck. It also comes in a red stripe. For size reference, I’m wearing a medium.

Okay, ladies. I’ve got some big ‘ol heart eyes for this top. It is DARLING. And the dark wash version is in the Anniversary sale.

It’s the perfect soft chambray, and I’m obsessed with the fit and the ruffle collar and neckline. Plain and simple, this top is fabulous. It’s not stiff at all, and it’s got a little bit of give to it. For size reference, I’m wearing a medium.
