Nordstrom Anniversary Sale and Amazon Prime Day Prep

1) long sleeve slub tee / This tee became a favorite three years ago. I already own several colors and wear them alllll the time. The tee is lightweight, soft, and I find it to be the perfect top for leggings. It covers the bum, it’s obviously a super relaxed fit, and it has thumbholes. It’s a total steal during the N Sale at just under $30. Grab AT LEAST 1. For size reference, I definitely prefer the fit of the small (still a relaxed fit, but not sloppy looking). Stick with your regular size if you want a more oversized fit.

2) chambray ruffle collar top / Okay, ladies. I’ve got some big ‘ol heart eyes for this top. It is DARLING. I got it in the light wash last fall, so I was thrilled to see in in the sale in the dark wash. It’s the perfect soft chambray, I love the wash, and I’m obsessed with the fit and the ruffle collar and neckline. Plain and simple, this top is fabulous. It’s not stiff at all, and it’s got a little bit of give to it. For size reference, I’m wearing a medium.

3) cashmere sweater / This is a classic sweater with excellent reviews, and everybody needs one. Seriously. It’s pricey, but it’s worth it. I’ve purchased one a year for several years and I have black, a Kelly green, and a vibrant pink. This year I’m going to add a neutral to my closet .

4) On Cloud sneakers /I own several pairs of On Cloud sneakers and love them all. They are light as a feather and crazy comfortable. These are very similar to one of my favorite pairs, so I was excited to see them pop up in this sale. I love the bungee cords vs. traditional laces, and I know you will too! I just can’t decide if I want the “all white” or the “sand/mulberry”.

5) must have bra / I’ve owned and loved this bra for years, and I named it a MUST HAVE around 1o years ago. I know there are many of you that only wear this bra and grab a new one to add to your collection every year. It’s super comfy and has perfectly rounded cups. The thick lining minimizes nip issues, but I wouldn’t actually consider it padded at all (I don’t like padded bras). And not only does this bra make your boobs look great when you have clothing on, they are also pretty on their own!

6) must have 7/8 leggings / Once you try high-waisted leggings, you’ll never go back. These from Zella are some of my favorites, and the 7/8 length are a perfect ankle length. Regular length are wayyyyyyyyy too long for me, but these are PERECT and hit me exactly where I want them to at the ankle. Everybody needs the black for sure, but if you already have the black, you can grab one of this year’s new colors.

7) slip skinny silk scrunchies / These are the only hair ties that I use anymore. They minimize damage and breakage, and they also reduce those annoying ridges caused by other hair ties.

8) stud earrings / Everybody needs stud earrings that they love. These are gorgeous. Soooo sparkly and a great size.

9) Donna Karen Cashmere Mist deodorant / I will buy this deodorant 3 pack every single year that it’s in the sale, and it better be in the sale every year. I get that it’s a total bougie move to wear deodorant that’s this expensive, but I can’t help it. I LOVE IT. I think I told the story about my friend Meagan complimenting how I smelled one day (we were working side by side while volunteering at the Manda Strong Golf Tournament a couple of years ago), and I was like “Thank you, it’s my armpits“. It’s true, y’all. Plus, it not only smells great, it also WORKS.

10) must have undies / GET THESE UNDIES. Get them now. Please. I beg you. Just try them. They truly are MUST HAVES. If you’ve already been converted to these undies, then I know you stock up every year during the sale! Most people that try these end up slowly replacing all of their undies with these babies.

11) Hanky Panky thong / I’m not a regular thong wearer, but when my outfit requires it, I always wear Hanky Panky. You honestly won’t even feel like you’re wearing undies and there will be ZERO lines. They are one size fits all, which I know sounds crazy, but somehow it works because the lace is so stretchy.

12) Barefoot Dreams pajamas / If you’ve never treated yourself to a Barefoot Dreams piece or set, MAKE THIS THE YEAR. They are seriously the absolute softest things you will EVER put on your body. I got my first piece (a blardigan!) around 10 years ago, and I’ve never looked back. Click HERE for all of the Barefoot Dreams items in the sale. And don’t just think of yourself, consider grabbing some pieces as gifts. They make THE BEST gifts for moms, mother-in-laws, grandmothers, sisters, pretty much anybody and for any occasion.

13) Wit and Wisdom pleated black pants / I found these pants last year and they blew me away. Full disclosure, these pants are pleated, so I was not expecting to love them at all. Because of the pleats, I didn’t think they were going to work on my body (since my tummy is my problem area). WELL, I was wrong! They are crazy comfy and quite flattering! They are a substantial ponte like fabric, but they’re a medium weight and not too heavy at all. They are crazy super soft and stretchy, but they keep their shape throughout the day. They’ve got a double bar and hook closure with a hidden button and a functional zipper, but I’m telling you, you can just pull these on if you want to! Yes, they have that much give. Most size down in these, but I’m wearing my regular size 4.

14) Wit and Wisdom must have boot cut jeans / LADIES.  If you haven’t tried the itty bitty boot cut jeans yet, what in the world are you waiting for? Do you not want to look 5 pounds thinner and 2 inches taller? These are the perfect medium wash for fall. At 5’4″ I get the regular size (not the petites). The petite sizing in this particular pair of jeans is way too short for me. I wear my regular size 4, but some size down.

15) Wit and Wisdom dark washed black straight leg jeans / I’m so happy to have these jeans n my closet. They’ve got the beloved Ab Solution technology, they’re stretchy, they’re comfy, they’re flattering, and they’re a great ankle length on me (I’m 5’4″, but with long legs and no torso). I’m wearing my regular size 4, but most people size down in this brand.

16) pajamas / I love and adore the Nordstrom pajamas. I buy a pair in the sale every couple of years. Actually, I just buy a new pair if there’s a new pattern I really love because they hold up so well that they don’t need to be frequently replaced.

OTHER FAVORITES I HIGHLY RECOMMEND…

* Unseen Sunscreen bundle / If you haven’t tried the Supergoop Unseen Sunscreen, YOU MUST. My skin absorbs the product very quickly (like IMMEDIATELY!) and there is NO TRACE of it. It’s not oily or greasy, it gives a matte finish, and it doesn’t leave any white residue behind either. It feels and acts very much like a high-end makeup primer going on. Also, from reading reviews, it seems it’s awesome for people with super sensitive skin. I’m telling you, the product is absolutely incredible. The Anniversary Sale bundle comes with a little Unseen Sunscreen stick as well.

* True and Co bralette / If you’re not a fan of underwire, this is your bra. It has thin removable pads that do a great job covering the nips, and you’ll still get a nice rounded and perky shape (even sans underwire).

* Charlotte Tilbury Magic Cream bundle / This is a product that I’ve been devoted to for many many years. I added into my routine after reading about it on several blogs and in several “BEST OF” beauty articles. Lots of users compared it to the much more expensive La Mer line, but said they preferred this product!  That was it, I was convinced I needed to try it. I CANNOT LIVE WITHOUT IT. Officially, it’s a cream that floods skin with moisture for a glowing complexion in a flash. A little goes a long way with this cream, and it’s not greasy, but it is incredibly hydrating. There is a very light rose scent to this cream, and I don’t normally care for rose, but it doesn’t bother me at all.
