Happy Monday, Ladies! And Happy Thanksgiving week! Are y’all as excited about this week as I am? I for one am thrilled about the extra time we are going to have with family, I’m ready to eat all the yummy food, and I’m also super excited to not have to wake up at 5:00 tomorrow to help get Carter off to athletics! I’m planning on not even opening my eyes until 7:00, and I AM PUMPED.
My post today is a little bit different because I’m talking about a fantastic kitchen appliance that’s my newest HSN find!
I think this is now my 12th time to partner with HSN, and I can now say without a doubt that I am an HSN shopper for life. We’ve purchased several products from the site (from self-tanner to shoes to bags to portable A.C. units), and we also got 2 different Dyson vacuums on super promo. I’m telling you, HSN is an excellent source for just about anything and everything you want or need.
You can check their current Black Friday Deals HERE, and I recommend checking their “Today’s Special Value” just about every day because every so often the deal is mind-blowing.
Today we are talking about my new favorite kitchen appliance, the Ninja Combi!
CURRENT PROMO: If you’re a new customer you can use the code HOLIDAY23 for $20 off $40+ (new customers only).
You’re not going to believe all that this appliance can do, and you can grab it right now on special for $179 (regularly $229)!
So what the heck is a Ninja Combi? Well, it’s soooooooooo many things.
Most simply, it is a space saving appliance that can beautifully complete several cooking tasks at once.
Check this out! It has the following 14 cooking functions that you can choose between: Combi Meals, Combi Crisp, Combi Bake, Rice/Pasta, Sear/Sauté, Steam, Bake, Toast, Pizza, Slow Cook, Proof, Sous Vide, Air Fry, and Broil.
It comes with the following:
- Combi Cooker Pan
- Bake Tray
- Crisper Tray
- Quick Start Guide + Recipe Book
Other important info:
- The design is super sleek and would look great in any kitchen.
- You will be shocked at how much food can be cooked in it.
- The accessory trays are totally non-stick and very easy to clean. They are easily washed by hand, but they are also dishwasher safe.
It comes with a small recipe book, and I was excited to select my first recipe.
I settled on the Soy Honey Glazed Salmon with brown rice and broccoli. I was totally intrigued by the idea that I was going to be able to cook the salmon, the rice, and the broccoli all at once! I mean, how in the world was that going to work?
The recipe was very specific, but very easy to follow.
I mixed the glaze together (honey, soy sauce, ginger, garlic, and olive oil)…
And then I marinated the salmon 5 minutes per the directions. (Next time I will marinate it longer so even more flavor can seep in.)
I added instant brown rice and water to the Level 1 bake tray.
Then I placed 4 large salmon filets on the Level 2 pan.
Now here’s the crazy part…
Per the recipe, I flipped the switch on the top right to “combi cooker”. I chose the “combi meals” setting, and then I set the timer for 13 minutes. ONLY THIRTEEN MINUTES, Y’ALL!
When the time got down to 7 minutes, I popped the broccoli foil packet in as well.
You can see how the inside of the oven steams up, and the steam releases out of the top of the appliance.
First it steams, and then it crisps!
I loved having the ability to make an entire meal in this one appliance!!!
I’ve only made a couple of recipes so far, but the Ninja Combi has already started transforming how I think about cooking. It’s versatile, efficient, and remarkably user-friendly.
My one complaint is that since this is a new appliance, you can’t find much online about it. As time goes on, I imagine there will be a slew of Pinterest recipes, but right now, there’s just not much out there. Until then, I’ll be cooking my way through the included recipe book.
Seriously, look how delicious.
All three items were perfectly cooked. And did I mention, IT ONLY TOOK 13 MINUTES for this entire meal.
The salmon was tender with a caramelized and crispy top. The broccoli was tender, but still crisp, and the rice was nice and fluffy!
It’s pretty much magic how everything finished cooking at the same time. I don’t know about y’all, but that’s the part about cooking that is always difficult for me. I have trouble coordinating everything so that the rice isn’t sitting there for 20 minutes before the salmon is done. The Combi takes the guess work out of it for me. And it also cooks in a fraction of the time.
So it’s a space saver AND a time saver.
And I’m telling you, everything was cooked to perfection and absolutely delicious.
I was a happy happy girl.
And even though there was sticky sauce in the top pan where the salmon and soy glaze had been, it cleaned up so easily with just some soapy water and a sponge.
I haven’t had to totally clean the appliance yet, but when I do, I found these instructions: Pour 1 cup water in combi pan and set timer for 10 minutes with combi meals side on steam. Close door and 20 minutes later it’s like cleaning the inside if a microwave oven, just wipe down and it’s spotless inside!
I tried the Mac & Cheese Bake recipe from the book as well.
I mixed milk, water, 3 types of cheese, and a box of elbow macaroni together. I followed the instruction to switch the top switch to air fryer and set it on 350 for 20 minutes. 20 minutes later I had mac and cheese! An additional 4 minutes with a butter, parsley, and panko mixture on top made the perfect crispy topping. I didn’t boil the pasta at all, but it was cooked perfectly!
Personally, I prefer for my macaroni and cheese to be even creamier, so next time I will put double the amount of Velvetta and 1/2 the amount of the sharp cheddar cheese. I think that will boost up the creamy factor perfectly!
YUM!
So what did you think? Doesn’t this appliance sound incredible? It would make a fantastic gift for you or a loved one!

Whoa! This thing looks awesome! And I really appreciate you actually using it prior to your review. Lately it seems like so many influencers post about stuff they don’t even own just for the clicks and purchases…it makes me appreciate the authentic ones like you even more! Adding the Combi to my Christmas list right now…we have several Ninja appliances and they are all fantastic! Looks like it might be a good gift for my son for after he graduates in June, too!

Thanks for your supportive words, Jen! It really is an incredible machine, and I do think it would be awesome for a young adult or even a college student. Like I said in the post, I’m really hopeful that I start seeing more recipes on Pinterest or even a cookbook that I can buy!!! I would buy a cookbook today if I could, I just can’t find one! xoxo
