Monday Mash Up

Well, yesterday was my birthday, and I spent the day enjoying my little family at home.  Chris and Carter grilled up a nice steak dinner, complete with baked potatoes and cream cheese stuffed and bacon wrapped jalapenos!  YES, PLEASE!  We also heated up the hot tub to mix things up a bit and watched a movie together.  Normally we would have gone out for Mexican food (because I ALWAYS choose tacos, queso, guac, and margaritas), but last night’s dinner at home was just perfect.  This year more than ever I’m so thankful for our health and other blessings.  I just liked soaking up the day with my people.  Oh, and I had a 2 hour nap, so there’s that.  It was blissful.

Today’s post is just a mash up of several things I want to share with you!

 A SPRING OUTFIT

I took these outfit pictures a couple of weeks ago, and for some reason they never made it to the blog!

I was drawn to the muted colors in this striped top, and I also liked that it can be worn out or in a half tuck.  I pretty much always prefer the half tuck because I feel like it’s almost always better to give my waist a little shape.

This necklace is one that when I got it, I thought it was nice, but I didn’t realize how it was going to become a staple for me.  I pretty much wear it every day.  I sleep in it, I shower in it, and I only take it off if for some reason the neckline of the top I’m wearing messes with it.  It just seems that it’s always the perfect little dainty and feminine touch!

Okay, y’all.  Let’s talk about the jeans.

The reviews on the site are mixed, but I happen to really like them.  AND THEY ARE 40% OFF!

They are a realllllllllllllly light wash, but I think a super light wash for summer is great!  I love the frayed hem, and I obviously love the Ab-Solution technology.  For 40% OFF, you might want to give them a try to see if you like them too.  They are super casual and will look great with sandals, flip flops, and sneakers.

If there was EVER a time to invest in really great bras and undies that are stupid comfy, THE TIME IS NOW.

Ladies.  Do y’all remember when I first became obsessed with the Enbliss Bralette?  When they sent it, I knew immediately it was going to be the bra that I wore around the house (you know, when I wanted the girls to be supported, but I also wanted to be comfortable).  And I wore it ALL THE TIME.  I LOVED IT. But then I misplaced BOTH OF THEM.  I couldn’t find either one for over a year or so (and had NO IDEA where in the world they could be), and then I just kind of forgot about them.  I don’t know why I didn’t order more, but I just didn’t.

BUT THEN I FOUND THEM!  (They were in a laundry basket in Chris’s closet with a TON of socks and a pair of my favorite pajamas too!  I guess he unloaded all of his stuff, and then mine just got left in the basket, and then stuff got thrown on top.)  I’m just glad that they are now back in my life!

Most bralettes provide coverage, but not any real support.  This bra does both!   And it’s very smooth under clothing both in the front and back (no side or back fat!).  It’s v shaped in both front and back, which allows you to wear it with a variety of necklines.  I’m a 34D, and the medium fits me perfectly.  Like it was made for me.  It keep the girls lifted and perky without hoisting them up too high.  And it’s incredibly comfortable.

PRO TIP:  You can pull this bra over your head, but I actually prefer to step into it and pull it up over my hips.  I feel like it’s much easier to put on that way.  Seriously.  Put it on this way.  #lifechanging

Enbliss bralette  / hipster vanishing line undies

As you can see, the Enbliss Bralette has no wires, no hooks, and no hardware.  The back and the front both create a smooth line and don’t show any lumps or bumps!  Not that any of us have any of those.  #coughcough

The straps aren’t adjustable, so I was worried about them being too long for me and not fitting my body, but they are super comfy and stay in place with no issues at all.

It has soft removable cups that easily can be pulled in and out, but I definitely prefer wearing it with the cups.  They give a nice naturally rounded look without adding bulk or creating cleavage, and they provide the modesty that I want.  #noheadlightshere

Now let’s talk about these Vanishing Line undies.  These are the hipsters, which are my favorites along with the lace high leg briefs.

MY LOFT ORDER

I’ve got a lot of fun posts coming up that I’m excited about, and I needed to order some pieces to finish out those posts.  I posted these pieces on Facebook on Friday, and I actually ended up ordering all of them, so you’ll be seeing them on the blog soon!

This pink eyelet top grabbed my attention on Facebook, and when I hopped over to check it out, all of the other items just hopped in my cart.

I also grabbed this red and pink floral blouse, this navy and white striped slouchy Spring sweater,  this color block ribbed short sleeve sweater, and this floral swing dress.  Because of the awesome sales, I was able to get everything for UNDER $200!

AT HOME MANICURE TIPS

I finally painted my nails this weekend.  But y’all, the real accomplishment was soaking off my gel manicure last week.  I WAS WAY PAST DUE.  The gel nails were actually still in fantastic shape, but my word they had grown out soooooooooooooo long.  I could barely type.  Seriously.

I know lots of bloggers have been taking you through the process, but I just soaked my nails in acetone nail polish for over an hour.  AN HOUR.   It took forever and was a messy process, but it felt so great to finally get them off.

I cut my own nails super short after the gel was off, and then I filed them.  I wanted them to breathe, so I left them naked for a week.  I finally painted them just yesterday because we are shooting some posts this week and I wanted pretty nails!

I haven’t painted my own nails in quite awhile, but the below polish used to be my GO TO. I don’t necessarily care about the “insta dri” part, I just like how flat and wide the brush is on these polishes.  The brushes make painting your own nails so easy!
