Awhile ago I did a post where I highlighted a striped sweater being worn 4 different ways. You ladies liked seeing the versatility in a piece, so I thought I would do it again today with my new plaid shirt. It’s a classic black and white color combo in plaid, but with a super modern feel because of the cut of the top. It’s cropped (but not too cropped!), gathered at the waist with tiny little pleats, and has a contrasting plaid at the neckline and cuffs. When Nordstrom reached out and asked me to talk about a recent fun addition to my wardrobe, this plaid top was an easy choice!
When I put it on, I realized that I did need to wear a cami with it (even though the model didn’t).
For Look #1, I copied my flat lay above and paired the top with my grey jeans (my most worn pair of jeans right now) and grey booties. I loved the monochromatic look! You can see that although the top is cropped, it’s not too short on my frame at all. However, if you have a super long torso, this might not be the top for you.
If you have these grey jeans, then I totally recommend you get a pair of grey booties as well. I love wearing them together because they create a streamlined look and really lengthen your legs!
