Today’s post is one of my favorite posts each and every month. Today I’m going to share your Top 12 picks from January. Actually, I’m going to share your Top 13… let’s just consider it a bonus.
Not surprisingly, many of y’alls Top 12 picks are in my top picks for the month as well. All but one of the items I’m featuring today are items that I added to my own closet or makeup drawer (or already owned), and because of that they are items that you will continue to see on the blog as long as they are in stock. See below for important info on why one of the items (#1) isn’t in my closet.
The picks that made this month’s top list are from Nordstrom, Amazon, and Colleen Rothschild. And besides the shoes, everything that made the Top 12 is below $100. Two of the items are things I’ve owned or used for over a year now, and yet they’ve landed a spot in the Top 12 yet again!
So, what were our favorites for the month? Let’s look and see…
1) LOVE sweatshirt / 2) zip up sweatshirt / 3) denim jacket / 4) pullover sweater / 5) Colleen Rothschild Face Oil #9 / 6) heart huggie earrings (bottom row) / 7) khaki drawstring pants / 8) black drawstring pants / 9) lip oil / 10) heart necklace / 11) tote / 12) sneakers / 13) must have jeans
1) LOVE sweatshirt / Okay, y’all. Real talk. DON’T BUY THIS SWEATSHIRT. I put it on a Valentine’s collage, and y’all bought it like crazy. I get it, it’s SO FLIPPING CUTE. When I was making this collage, I decided I needed to buy it too. BUT THEN I READ THE REVIEWS. If I haven’t tried something personally, I would never put it on a collage if it had bad reviews, so these are reviews that must not have been present when I put it on the original collage. I’m soooo sorry that so many of y’all purchased it, and I feel terrible that it seems to be a dud. Amazon returns are super easy, so I’m hoping all of you popped it in the mail and promptly returned it.
2) zip up sweatshirt / I put this pink sweatshirt in the Valentine’s Day collage post I did. I have it in several colors and have showed it in several colors, but I’ve never shown it in this really pretty bright pink. On the back end, I’m not able to see what colors y’all scooped up, but I’m betting a lot of you bought it in this pink (although it does come in TONS of colors).
1) heart earrings / 2) gold heart necklace / 3) pave heart necklace / 4) zip up sweatshirt / 5) Nike sneakers / 6) Dior lip oil / 7) Love sweatshirt / 8) striped pouch / 9) navy and pink all over heart sweater / 10) heart collar sweater / 11) xoxo sweatshirt / 12) pink and white bracelets / 13) red heart striped sweater / 14) red and pink heart pajama set / 15) big heart cardigan / 16) navy, pink, and white heart pajamas / 17) love pajamas
3) denim jacket / If you don’t have a denim jacket you love for spring, get one. Get one now. This is a good one. I’ve only highlighted this jacket twice this month in 2 collages. See #7 to see it styled in a couple of outfits.
4) pullover sweater / Oversized quarter zip sweaters are all the rage right now. The Faherty version is $168, but this pullover sweater below is a great option and it’s under $40! It’s definitely long and roomy enough for leggings, but it looks great with jeans too. It comes in lots of colors, including a great Kelly green! For size reference, I’m wearing a small. I’d probably prefer a medium if wearing with leggings.
pullover sweater / blingy heart earrings / similar cross necklace / Mother jeans / white sneakers
5) Colleen Rothschild Face Oil #9 / The Face Oil #9 used to be too much for my skin, but now I can’t imagine it not being a part of my nightly routine. Colleen touts it as the ultimate in skin luxury, and I have to agree. It improves radiance. RADIANCE! Who doesn’t want to increase their radiance?!?
And during the months when my skin is extra dry, I use it in the morning as well. I just mix it with my moisturizer and my skin absolutely drinks it up. YOU WILL LOVE IT.
And don’t forget my code that is always active! Use STMT20 for 20% OFF your Colleen Rothschild purchase!
6) heart huggie earrings (bottom row) / I actually got these tiny little heart earrings a couple of years ago, AND I LOVE THEM. They were in the Valentine’s collage as well as in several of my outfit planning collages, so a lot of you scooped them up!
They are ONLY $13.99, and they look much more expensive than they are. I love that the charms are attached to huggie earrings, and I’ve found myself wearing them for days at a time without ever taking them off.
So dainty and pretty!
These would also make a great gift for a daughter, a girlfriend, a teacher, etc.
Or you could just treat yourself!
oversized cozy boucle sweater / Amazon heart earrings
7) khaki drawstring pants / So I first fell in love with the black drawstring pants from Wit and Wisdom (#8 in today’s collage). After owning the black AND LOVING THE BLACK ONES, I ordered these khaki ones! They arrived yesterday, so I will show them on me next week.
Here they are styled casually with sneakers…
white tee / denim jacket / drawstring pants / cross necklace / black woven bag / huggie earrings / colorful bracelet stack (multicolor color block) / sneakers
And here they are styled a bit dressier with sandals and a fabulous bag…
white tee / denim jacket / drawstring pants / layered necklace / beaded bag (green version HERE)/ chain link earrings / gold bracelet stack / raffia slide sandals
8) black drawstring pants / Back in September I posted some outfit plan collages with a pair of drawstring ponte pants. They sold out immediately, and I was so sad that so many of y’all wanted them that couldn’t get them. Well, they came back on November 15th….and they sold out again.
WELL, THERE’S BEEN ANOTHER RESTOCK!!! And this right here is your sign to grab them. NOW. This is me telling you to.
They’re from Wit and Wisdom, they are an awesome ponte fabric (which means they are so stretchy and comfy), and they are DARLING.
They will be great for those of you that work in an office environment, but you can see here that I also think they look great styled casually with sneakers.
denim jacket / white tee / drawstring ponte pants / beaded stud earrings (daisy flower) / woven bag / gold bracelet stack (matte gold tone) / rainbow stripe bracelet stack / sneakers (white/tan perf)
Plain and simple, THESE PANTS ARE FANTASTIC. And the readers that were lucky enough to grab them already think so too! I’ve received countless messages singing their praises. They are a substantial ponte knit, but they aren’t too thick or bulky. They are incredibly flattering, super comfy with the drawstring waist, and just a cool look! You can easily dress them up for the office with a nice sweater and flats, but I also love them worn super casually here with sneakers.
A perfect mix of comfy and polished, these stretchy ponte pants feature a drawstring waist, full-length legs and ‘Ab’Leisure shaping pockets for a smooth fit.
For size reference, I’m wearing a small.
similar denim jacket (from same maker) / black tee / drawstring ponte pants (other wide leg pant options from same maker HERE) / chunky gold hoop earrings / heart necklace / black bag / sneakers (white/tan leather)
9) lip oil / This lip oil appeared in the Valentine’s Day collage as well as several of my Outfit Planning collages! It goes on so incredibly smoothly and just has the most subtle hint of color. It feels like silk on your lips, and your lips will be so hydrated and so shiny!
10) heart necklace / This only appeared on the Valentine’s Day collage, but I’m guessing lots of y’all grabbed multiples for gifts. It’s a great price point at right at $16, and it makes a really great gift for preteen girls all the way up to much more mature ladies. It’s a very sweet little necklace.
11) tote / I included this adorable tote in lots of outfit collages just earlier this week, and y’all were big ol’ fans! I loved it so much I ordered it for myself. I’ll show it in outfits on me next week.
love sweater / medium wash ankle jeans / black woven bag / heart huggie earrings / colorful bracelet stack / lip oil / sneakers
cardigan / grey tee / layered necklace / medium wash ankle jeans / black woven bag / chain link earrings / gold bracelet stack / sneakers
12) sneakers / Super comfy, true to size, and pretty much a necessary item in your closet for casual spring dressing. They are great with pretty much any casual outfit.
cardigan / grey tee / striped tote|/ must have jeans / heart huggie earrings (bottom row)/ colorful bracelet stack (multicolor color block) / sneakers
navy striped sweater / light wash ankle jeans / pink crossbody / multicolor necklace / heart huggie earrings (bottom row)/ gold bracelet stack / lip oil / sneakers
I also have this color if you prefer more neutral (with no black accents)…
See! Perfectly neutral, but with a little bit of tone-on-tone interest.
13) must have jeans / Let’s talk about the jeans. These aren’t new to me. I loved them last year, and I love them this year. To me, they are like if a skinny jean and a straight jean had a baby. And they have the ‘Ab’solution technology that slims, shapes and lifts in all the right places! They aren’t super fitted on the calf or around the ankle, and the ankle has a little split on the side. They are great with sneakers, sandals, booties, flats, wedges, whatever! These are great for spring and summer because I love to have just a tiny bit of ankle showing. I do suggest sizing down. I’m wearing a size 2 here. THESE ARE AWESOME JEANS. They have the perfect amount of stretch.
zip up sweatshirt / jeans / sneakers
Here’s a close up look at the jeans. I’m wearing a size 2 here. They are quite stretchy, so most size down.
So what was your personal favorite from today. If you already have something from today’s picks and love it, sound off in the comments!
That’s all for today, y’all! Have a wonderful weekend with your people!

I personally bought #1 off of your blog in January! It’s TOO CUTE!!!

Was it good quality? I’ve heard it wasn’t!

I ordered the pink love sweatshirt after I saw it on here a couple weeks ago. Beware the one I received looks nothing like the photo. It’s very cheap thick polyester fabric and the emblem on the front is thick rubber. I will be returning

Hi, Stephanie! Yes. 🙁 Did you see what I wrote about the sweatshirt today? I said to NOT buy it based on the reviews that were now on the site. I never would have highlighted it if those negative reviews had already been there. So sorry I pointed you down the wrong path. It looks SO CUTE in the pics, but I’ve seen with Amazon before that sometimes the actual product does not match the pictures. 🙁

Hi! I bought these last year on your recommendation and love them:

Is the difference primarily the color, or is the fit/length, etc. different as well?
Thanks for all you do!
Sheaffer says
Hi, Carol! They are actually the same jeans! I don’t think they’ve changed anything about them. xoxo
