I didn’t have a post planned for today.
Until yesterday at about 2:00.
I was trying on pieces yesterday afternoon to see if there was anything I was going to want to add to my highlights for Friday Favorites this week, but after I put this outfit together, my wheels started turning.
It took me about 2 minutes to decide I was going to throw together a post for today.
I styled the outfit below, AND I LOVED IT.
Like I loved it so much that I just couldn’t wait to share it.
I COULDN’T NOT SHARE IT.
I was powerless.
And here’s the theme for today’s post: GET. THIS. SWEATER.
This was one of my favorite sweaters EVER last year. I had it in rust, and although it sold out quickly, I wore the absolute heck out of it. Well, it’s back baby!
I immediately ordered it in “khaki ” last week when I saw it was available again. Now, please be advised it’s not actually “khaki”.
It’s definitely more of a “cream”, but I still love it.
This sweater is soooooooooooooooo incredibly soft. It’s a super relaxed fit and even has a bit of a bat wing design, but it’s still very flattering! I’m wearing the small here and it’s still very roomy. It comes in 12 total colors.
I had a lot of people asking me about the fabric content last week since we couldn’t find it listed on the site. I didn’t know then, but I’ve since found an interior tag with the following info: 50% Viscose, 30% Nylon, 20% PBT. Good to know. If I had to guess, I would have guessed clouds and unicorn wings.
And just fyi, when I posted the rust colored one last week, I had tons of readers comment that they have 2 of these sweaters. And quite a bit even commented that they have 3. So clearly, I’m not the only one that loves this sweater. UPDATE: I’ve received some questions about laundering over on Facebook, and I have never hand washed this sweater. I wash and dry it like normal, I just don’t throw it in with towels or anything. I’ll sometimes pop it in the dryer for 10 minutes or so, then gently tug on it to stretch it out a bit and then hang it to dry the rest of the way.
How fabulous is this clutch.
It has total Clare V. vibes, but it’s a fraction of the price. The cognac is a beautiful color, and the red and navy stripe is bold and so much fun! The “leather” is very soft, and it looks much more expensive than it is. I think I will most often carry it like a clutch, but it does come with a gold chain for the option of wearing it cross body.
I mean, the theme for today is GET. THE. SWEATER.
But the clutch is so good too.
As a reminder, here’s the sweater in rust. The rust has a bit of delayed ship time right now, but there are so many colors to choose from. And as you can see, I’m pretty smitten with the large monogrammed disc necklace and the gold party bangles. They’re in both outfits in today’s post.
So, that’s it for today!
A quick little post BECAUSE I JUST COULDN’T WAIT.
Next week I already have plans to show you several more ways to style the sweater.
Here’s what I’m thinking right off the top of my head:
- super casual with my favorite Amazon 7/8 leggings and my new neutral Adidas Edge Luxe sneakers (in clear brown/nude/white)
- styled with my raw hem ankle jeans, my leopard spot sneakers, and my black and cream bag strap
- styled with a 1/2 tuck with my itty bitty boot cut jeans and neutral booties
- dressed up a bit with some new plaid leggings (from Loft) and some tall cognac boots (these are gorgeous and ON SALE)
That’s all for today, y’all!
SHORT AND SWEET.
