So today I’m going to show you what I ended up with for our one and only dress up party this season!

So when figuring out what my personal holiday party outfit was going to be, I immediately hopped over to see what Cynthia Steffe had to offer right now, because I’M A FAN. Back in June, I wore a lace turquoise Cynthia Steffe shift dress to Chris’s cousin’s wedding and loved it! And then in July I wore a striped shift from good ol’ Cynthia to The Men Tell All taping with Shay! Cynthia’s been good to me in the past, and I’m a fan of the shift dress for sure.
A shift dress hides my tummy (a problem area for me), highlights my legs (even if I weighed 23,000 pounds I’m pretty sure my legs would still be relatively thin), and a shift is just so dang comfortable!

As you’ll see in a bit, I ordered a handful of things trying to find what I needed, but THIS top spoke to me. It’s not a dress, but it is from my girl Cynthia. I thought the lace sleeves were gorgeous, the scalloped details were very pretty, and the gold buttons down the back added a nice touch.
And I loved the idea of wearing a top and pants to a holiday party instead of a dress!
So, my holiday party outfit was born.
I think this top would also be great for New Year’s Eve, and just a great fancy little thing to have in your closet for lots of different types of special occasions all year long!
I already had the necklace and pants from last year, the clutch from two years ago, and the shoes from like 5 years ago! But don’t worry, I’ll link similar items for y’all if you are interested in recreating the entire outfit!

You look great in that jumpsuit! We have a wedding on NYE this year and I panicked about what to wear. Didn't want to spend a lot of money because I too can rock a pair of jeans and a tshirt …. plus I'm either in scrubs, work out clothes or my pajamas so dressing up is hard for me too. My daughters and a few friends have rented a dress from Rent The Runway. Most of these dresses are designer and you can rent then for real cheap! Beautiful dresses! So I rented two dresses for NYE for $30 a piece!! You should go visit the website if you haven't!
