Friday Favorites: Great New Summer Tops and A Favorite Dress ON SALE

It’s Friday, so y’all know what that means!  It’s time to link up with Erika, Andrea, and Narci to let everybody know what some of my favorite things are right now!

NEW SUMMER TOPS!

Besides my friend Cassie’s collection, I’ve been struggling to find a lot of new things (except for dresses) that I’ve loved enough to share with y’all.  HOWEVER,  on Wednesday I was in store and found 2 new tops that I’m really excited about!

This top is my absolute favorite shade of green!  You probably wouldn’t know that since you rarely see it on the blog, but that’s only because this particular shade of green is so hard to find.  And I have no idea why, because it’s fresh and summery and looks good on everybody! { If you love this color green too, there’s THIS CARDI that’s ON SALE.  This ruffle halter dress also looks to be a great shade of green! And you can click HERE for a Kelly green and white striped tank with ruffled trim.}  UPDATE:  a reader directed me towards Talbot’s where she said she found several pieces in this great green….like this striped tee with a ruffle neck and this short sleeved tie front sweater.

The ruffled eyelet sleeve and the open trim work on the neck both take this top to the next level.

So the green was a no brainer for me, but it also comes in yellow, black, and white.  I’ll for sure be getting another one.

For size reference, I’m wearing a small in the top, so it’s true to size.  I’m wearing a 26 in the white jeans, so I sized down 1.  I also own these jeans in a 27.  What can I say, I love them, and my weight yo yo’s, SO I’M PREPARED.  😉  Size up a 1/2 size in the sandals.

And my new tee obviously looks great with denim cut offs too!  I took off the necklace and paired it with some great new statement earrings that arrived on my doorstep yesterday.  They are a gorgeous shade of pink, they are big and make quite a statement with their size and design, and the bead work is so pretty!  These are going to add a lot of extra pizzazz to my summer wardrobe.  They are a bit heavy (I’m super sensitive to heavy earrings), so I probably won’t wear them all day, but I’m definitely keeping them.

This embroidered beauty is the other top I found!  Now, you need to size wayyyyyyyy down.  I’m wearing an xxs here, and an xxs I am not.  It can be worn out or with a half tuck, and although I didn’t do a good job of capturing this, the sleeves are also extra cute with a longer length that can be cinched and tied.  If you need a strapless bra, get this one.  #trustme

And I also got THIS TOP in late yesterday and cannot wait to show it to y’all next week.  I LOVE IT SO MUCH, but I’m afraid it’s going to fly off the shelves.

You saw me style this top super casually last week while we were at the ranch, but I knew I would also dress it up a bit with white jeans and wedges.  I’m wearing a small in the top, which is true to size for me.  It’s just so festive and cute!

It’s also super cute without a jacket.  The short sleeves gather up with little ties.  Sadly, the earrings are sold out.

It also comes in a striped version!  And the striped dress is ALREADY ON SALE, and then it also qualifies for the BUY MORE, SAVE MORE promotion.  I ended up only keeping the camo dress for myself (because of the striped Caslon dress I still have from last year), but I like this Sanctuary one more!  It’s going to be hard to resist at the sale price.

I also styled some of my favorite pieces in virtually the same outfit, I just switched out the shorts for jeans.  Personally, I think a basic striped tee is a necessary closet staple.  I sized up to a medium in the tee for a relaxed fit. I wear a small in the shorts.  Size up a 1/2 size in the sandals.

School is FINALLY out for Summer!!!!  Yesterday was this cuties last day, and I could bawl at how much he’s grown and matured this year.  He’s such an awesome kid, and I can’t wait to spend the summer with him!
