ANOTHER CUTIE SET
I showed y’all an embroidered Madewell set last week (bubble top and midi skirt) in an orangey red, and y’all loved it.
When browsing online, I saw this shirt and shorts set and was immediately drawn to it. I think it’s absolutely adorable.

The embroidered bubble top is a 100% crip cotton poplin, fully lined so the cut-out embroidery doesn’t show any skin, and it’s got a fun bubble hem. I prefer to wear my bubble hem pulled down, but you could of course pull it up again if you want to show your midriff (WHICH I DON’T). For size reference, I’m wearing a medium.
The embroidered midi skirt is also a crisp cotton poplin. It has an elastic waist, pockets, and is partially lined. And look at the scalloped hem! I got a small in the skirt.
And let’s talk about my new turquoise chunky heart necklace because OMG. It’s such a good piece. One of my favorite things I’ve purchased all year.

The top is cute with denim shorts too. If you don’t like the white and brown matching set, you could still grab the top to wear with denim shorts or white jeans.
THESE DENIM SHORTS ARE SO GOOD. They have a 6″ inseam, so they provide a good amount of length, but I don’t feel matronly in them at all! I just feel covered, but cute. Basically, I still feel like a cool and hip mom, while managing to stay totally age appropriate. They are slim cut (which makes them flattering), but I love the roominess of the leg opening. I’m wearing my regular size 4. Also, they’re pretty affordable at $79!!!

I was going to make an outfit collage with this amazing new Faherty tote, but I ran out of time. 🙁 I still needed to show it though because it’s a high sell-out risk! If it’s still available early next week, I’ll throw an outfit inspo collage together with it.

This crochet cover up is absolutely fabulous. It’s so soft, very stretchy, and super comfy. And I love the scallop details on the neck, sleeves, and hem. I’m wearing the black scrunchie suit under it, so the entire outfit is totally chic. For size reference, I’m wearing a medium.
I will say, although I love the look of the straw tote, I don’t really love how it functions. It is big and can definitely hold a lot, but there’s not enough structure to really transport it easily if it’s full.

This smocked maxi dress is ON SALE and such a great closet staple. It’s incredibly flattering and can easily be dressed up or down. It has spaghetti straps, but they are removable, and it looks great worn strapless as well.
I’m wearing a small here (I knew it would be forgiving because of the smocking), so I would suggest sizing down (I’m typically a medium).

BEACHY SHORTS ON SALE

Here’s another look with the shorts with a different oversized boyfriend tee. This tee is very lightweight and incredibly soft. It has a cute sardine box on the back and a little sardine graphic on the front too. There are 16 tee options in this particular crewneck tee, so there’s something for everybody. For size reference, I’m wearing a small in this one, but I should have sized down to an xs.

LAUNDRY SAUCE
I don’t know about y’all, but laundry is one of my least favorite chores. It just feels like soooooooooo many steps, and it takes for freaking ever. Anything I can do to make laundry more enjoyable, SIGN ME RIGHT ON UP.
So when Laundry Sauce reached out to me, I was intrigued. I did a little research and found out the company is known for combining premium fragrances with high-performance cleaning products. And I love stuff that smells yummy. So yes, I was INTRIGUED.
Instead of the regular ol’ “fresh linen” or “country meadow” scents that we’re all used to… Laundry Sauce approaches laundry more like fine fragrance. Their detergents and scent boosters feel closer to designer cologne than regular household products, and the result is clothing and linens that smell amazing and feel/smell elevated after they get pulled from the dryer.
And listen, if a company wants to elevate my laundry, WELL THEN BY ALL MEANS.
The products are designed to tackle stains and odors while remaining gentle on fabrics. And I happen to love the idea of combining functionality with indulgence. Now, was this important to me at 23 years old? Nope. Is it sounding amazing at almost 50? Why yes, YES IT IS.
Plain and simple, I’m at a point in my life where I’m now willing to pay extra for special products. There really are some benefits to aging. 😉

Actually, I tell her to a lot….she just doesn’t always take pics and send them to me after I influence her to buy something.

All of the microplastics talk has been freaking me out for years, so I finally did something about it. I’d bought a couple of glass containers already, but I decided I needed an entire set so I could throw all of the plastic containers away.

The happiness this picture brings me is completely over the top, but I don’t even care that I sound crazy. 😉 And here’s the deal, it only took me about 10 minutes to throw all of the old containers away, take the new containers out of the box, and place them in their new home. And that 10 minutes has brought me so much JOY.
Doing this has inspired me, and I told Chris that every week for the next two months I’m going to go through one or two kitchen cabinets, throw away (or donate things) we no longer use, wipe down the shelves, and then reorganize each cabinet with the items that remain. I’m going to do it every Tuesday since the trash comes on Wednesday. Tackling the kitchen like this is going to be super do-able… and I’m going to be THRILLED when the entire kitchen is done.

It’s a MUST HAVE for me for sure, and it won an Allure Best of Beauty Award in 2025.It’s weightless, invisible, scent free, and gives incredible coverage and protection. My skin absorbs it very quickly (like IMMEDIATELY!) and there is NO TRACE of it. It’s not oily or greasy, it gives a matte finish, and it doesn’t leave any white residue behind either. In fact, I think it goes on and feels just like a high-end primer. It’s velvety in texture and it totally just glides on your skin, both under and even over your makeup. (I usually hate the feel of sunscreen on my face, but not with the this!) Also, from reading reviews it seems it’s awesome for people with super sensitive skin. I’m telling you, the product is absolutely incredible.If you’re going to buy just one thing from the sale, buy the Unseen Sunscreen. I’m going to grab 2.The Supergoop Glow Screen is another sunscreen for your face, but this one can also basically double as a light foundation. If it’s just a regular day for me, I’m going to use the Unseen Sunscreen on my face before I apply my regular face make-up. If I’m going to be in the sun for a prolonged period of time and a full face of makeup isn’t the vibe, I’m going to choose the Glow Screen. It provides coverage (obviously) along with some great color! And please don’t let the “GLOW” in the name scare you. It’s very subtle and just really pretty!
I seriously cannot recommend these products enough. I want all of you to try them because they are truly amazing.
