It’s Friday, so y’all know what that means! It’s time to link up with Erika and Andrea to let everybody know what some of my favorite things are right now.

CHARLIE UPDATE

Charlie had his first follow-up ultrasound on Wednesday, and everything looked perfect!!!

His appetite has been great, his energy level has been awesome, and he’s even more snuggly than he used to be. 🙂

We remain so incredibly thankful for the successful surgery and his health. (Background info in case you missed it: Charlie had his spleen and a 10-pound tumor removed at the end of May. After sending the tumor away, it was found it was benign, but Wednesday was a scheduled ultrasound checkup and he passed with flying colors! We lost his sweet puppy brother Buddy to a cancerous tumor on his spleen just two months before Charlie, so we were obviously quite worried when they found the mass in Charlie.)

I took these pics of Carter and Charlie this past weekend at the ranch. He’s been doing so well that we weren’t worried about Wednesday’s appointment, but it was still such a relief to get confirmation that he’s doing great!

SOME SALE FAVORITES

Now that the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is open to EVERYBODY (even if you don’t have a Nordstrom card), there are some pieces that I would like to talk about today.

This linen blouse wasn’t in the anniversary sale (I’ve had it for a couple of months now), but it’s a great basic and now it’s ON SALE too. It’s lightweight, has a cute cut and relaxed fit, and is totally classic. I’m wearing a medium.

I’ve styled it with jeans and leopard Rothy’s from the NSale. More on the Rothy’s in a second.

These crop straight leg jeans are under $75 and suuuuuuuper soft and stretchy. I actually think I want them to be just a tad bit shorter on me so they can show some more ankle with sneakers and flats (I’m 5’4″ with long legs and no torso), so I’m just going to cut them off myself since they have a bit of a frayed hem. True to size for me, I’m wearing a 4. Because of the stretch, you might consider sizing down if between sizes.

I fell in love with Rothy’s last year when I got my camo loafers in the fall, and I’m now a huge believer in the brand. I think these Mary Jane’s are precious AND GOOD HEAVENS they are comfy! They are soft and flexible, and you can throw them in the wash (and then let them air dry). In addition to this leopard, they also come in black, a wine, and even a neutral sparkle that is actually really great in person. True to size for me.

If you’ve never tried Rothy’s, they kind of feel like a thick and compressive sock when wearing them. They’re seriously awesome.

Regularly $159 (and worth every dang penny), but ONLY $89.99 right now. In addition to wearing these with denim, I’ll also be wearing them with black pants.

They are seriously DARLING.

And remember, if you don’t like the leopard, grab one of the solid color options.

I feel like everybody will love these shoes, but I feel like you NEED them if you’re a teacher.

These washed black Wit and Wisdom jeans have added some much needed dimension to my closet. They’re a heavier denim and have a bit more structure than most of my WW jeans, and I’m so excited to have them. They’re good with booties, with flats, with mules, and with fashion sneakers. They hit at the ankle, and they have a frayed hem. I love that they are a faded black (kind of a washed black), almost a really dark grey. They are very slimming and have really added a lot of style to my outfits. True to size for me, I’m wearing the 4.

The reviews on these booties aren’t great, but I happen to really love them.

There are two complaints from shoppers:

1. They say the color isn’t represented well on the site. I actually agree with that comment. I ordered the “Barley Stella Suede”, and they look much lighter on the site than the boot I actually received. If you really want the lighter color (seen on the site), this ain’t it. But if you happen to like the color shown below, that’s what you’ll get.
2. Other reviewers are complaining that they are narrow. I have a narrow foot, so that’s fine with me. I actually like a narrow boot because I think it’s the most flattering to my foot.

I also really like that there’s a zipper. I find that most booties without a zipper are too hard to get off and on.

You can see here that the faded black jeans look great with the booties (on the left), and they also look great with the leopard Mary Jane’s (on the right).

There are only 2 reviews so far for this bubble sleeve top. One reviewer loves it, and the other reviewer hates it. I happen to love it, but y’all know I’m a fan of a boxy fit. It’s 100% cotton and very lightweight, so it’s great to wear now with shorts (it also comes in white), but this gorgeous wine/plum color (it’s officially called “burgundy fudge”) will be perfect when transitioning to fall. For size reference, I’m wearing a medium.

Here’s the white. I’m not keeping this one because I have a couple of other similar tops in white, but I thought it was still worth showing.

If you work in an office, you NEED these pants.

They are a substantial ponte like fabric, but they’re a medium weight and not too heavy at all. They are crazy super soft and stretchy, but they keep their shape throughout the day. They’ve got a double bar and hook closure with a hidden button and a functional zipper, but I’m telling you, you can just pull these on if you want to! Yes, they have that much give. Most size down in these, but I’m wearing my regular size 4.

When wearing these pants, you will look great AND it will basically feel like you are wearing lounge wear. I wasn’t sure I was going to love them because of the pleats across the front (and my tummy is my problem area), but in addition to being on trend they are also incredibly flattering. They are very stretchy, and I’m telling you, if you work in an office you will want to wear them every single day.

And how gorgeous is this floral ruffle blouse with the pants. Sadly, it’s not on sale. I’m not sure how I got mixed it up and thought it was, but it’s still a beautiful piece. I was surprised to see that it’s pretty dang sheer, so even though you can’t really tell here, I would recommend wearing a nude or black cami underneath. The colors and floral pattern are gorgeous, and the cascading ruffles and tiered peplum hem are just beautiful. For size reference, I’m wearing a medium.

And now for some non-clothing items!

I don’t own any Beis luggage, but I have a friend that travels all the time (shout out Cassie!) that loves her Beis pieces.

I think this color is so fun AND it will make your luggage easy so identify at baggage claim.

I’m so sad that the pots and pans set from Our Place has already sold out because I hadn’t even talked about it yet. And it was awesome.

However, the Our Place air fryer is still available!

I don’t have this, BUT I WANT IT.
