It’s Friday, so y’all know what that means! It’s time to link up with Erika and Andrea to share our current favorites!

CARTER
I’m kicking off my favorites today with this guy. He ended his football season and then made the soccer team! Watching him do his thing is my favorite.
We’ve only had 3 games so far, but we are really look forward to the rest of the season. They had a game earlier this week, the team played great together, and Carter scored a goal with a header. So fun! They have a tournament Thursday, Friday, and Saturday and it’s going to be FRIGID. I’m excited to bundle up and watch the team play.
I don’t understand the above picture because I took this picture just yesterday.

MY FAVORITE COLORS
It’s January 12th today, which means that we’ve got just about a month until Valentine’s Day.
We don’t make a huge deal of Valentine’s Day over here, but I will say that I do like dressing in red and pink all year long, so I like to have a reason to be extra festive this time of year. Did you see Wednesday’s post? I had tons of festive options, so click HERE if you missed it.
I’ve gathered up lots of options for y’all in all shades of blush, pink, wine, and red in case you’re looking to feel festive.
And look what arrived on my porch just yesterday!!! These sneakers are DARLING. They’ve got a really cool retro vibe, and I’m of course totally smitten with the color combo. These are true to size for me, but if you are often between sizes, I always recommend sizing up in sneakers.
Of course keep in mind that if you like something you see, but you don’t love the color, all of these items of course come in several colors!
This v-neck cardigan is one of the best deals on Amazon. I can’t even tell you how many colors I own it in, but it’s probably not enough. IT’S AN AWESOME CARDI. It comes in a crew neck version too, but I prefer the v-neck. I like the fit of the medium.

And here it is with regular denim too.

And here’s the red version.

But seriously, look how many colors it comes in. These are just some of them! Click HERE to see all of the crewneck color options.
You’ve seen me highlighting this batwing cardigan in a dark brown since last fall. I LOVE IT. I love it so much in fact, that I ordered it in this red. Officially this one is called “red/orange”, but I think it’s a very true red. And it comes in 16 color options, so there’s truly something for everybody! This cardi is a chunky knit and a mid-weight. It’s a batwing design, but you can see how the lower arms are super fitted, so it doesn’t look sloppy. I love the slouchy fit.
For size reference, I’m wearing a small.

Before we get to the other outfits today, let’s talk about these blingy heart hoop earrings that I’m wearing in ALL of today’s outfits. They’re adorable. And they look much more expensive than they are. They are super similar to some Kendra Scott heart hoops, but these are just under $20!
Seriously, look how pretty! I love that they’re gold, I love the super sparkly pave “diamonds”, and I love the size.
This Be Kind sweatshirt is adorable. Now, listen. It is definitely cropped. I have a short torso, so it works for me with high-waisted jeans. But if you have a long torso, you’re probably going to want to pass. For size reference, I’m wearing a medium.

Oversized quarter zip sweaters are all the rage right now. The Faherty version is $168, but this pullover sweater below is a great option and it’s under $40! It’s definitely long and roomy enough for leggings, but it looks great with jeans too. It comes in lots of colors, including a great Kelly green! For size reference, I’m wearing a small. I’d probably prefer a medium if wearing with leggings.

I grabbed this bag because y’all are always asking for affordable bag options and I thought this one was super fun! It comes in several colors with a couple of different bag strap options in both medium and large. This is the large in “pink” which is a very subtle blush color.

I showed y’all this tee last week, and I showed you this red cardi earlier in today’s post. I think they look great paired together! I’m wearing a medium in both and a 4 in the jeans.
Also… I LOVE THESE JEANS.

Okay, so y’all know I can’t quit this swing sweater. I’m seriously not even embarrassed or ashamed that this is like my 74th swing sweater. Okay, I might be exaggerating a tad, but y’all know I have several. This is the pink-white-khaki, and I love the color-blocking on the front, back, and sleeves. One thing I want to mention…..you can see where my sweater is pretty straight across the hem in the front. It is definitely longer in the back like it is shown on the model, but the front doesn’t have the deep v cut that’s shown on the model. For size reference, I’m wearing a small.

I have no idea how I stumbled upon this pom pom sweater, but my goodness I am smitten. It is sooooo soft, it has a great amount of stretch in it, and it is beautifully made. I was a bit worried about pom pom placement, but it seems to be strategic, so there’s no unfortunate pom pom/nipple confusion happening. Haha! In addition to the adorable pattern, look at the sleeves! They are fitted at the cuff and so pretty. For size reference, I’m wearing a size 8.
It looks very Anthro and looks wayyyyyy more expensive than it is.

Are you feeling extra festive? This Be Mine baseball tee is absolutely ADORABLE! I love the hearts and the “Be Mine” messaging. I’m wearing a small here, but it’s quite fitted and I would prefer the fit of the medium. It’s very soft and just so much fun. The jeans have our favorite Ab-Solution technology and are soooo comfy and soooooooooo flattering. I’m wearing my regular size 4. Size down if between sizes.

This big heart baseball tee can be found on the same link as the tee above. There are actually tons of options on this 1 link, but these two were my favorite. Hop over to the link and see which one is your favorite!

If you don’t want to go the graphic tee route, you can always just pair some festive jewelry with red, white, pink, grey, or cream. This lightweight cardigan will serve you well all year long, but this red is perfect for the month of love and is on SUPER SALE. It has tons of excellent reviews. For size reference, I’m wearing a small.

Here’s another swingy sweater.
BECAUSE I CAN’T STOP. And this gorgeous red was calling to me.
I usually wear a small, but I ordered an x-small this time just to compare the fit. I definitely need a small if I’m going to wear it with leggings, but the x-small is more than fine if just wearing with jeans. It’s still oversized with a great swingy fit.
swingy sweater / chunky gold hoops / heart necklace / distressed jeans / neutral booties
Okay, this is an outfit I’ve worn countless times.
The heart sweatshirt is super soft, so warm, and so cozy. It’s lined with a light fleece and just so comfy to wear. I sized up two sizes to a large because I wanted to make sure it would be long and relaxed enough for leggings. The quality is great, and almost all ratings are 5 stars.
Now, let’s talk about the 7/8 leggings. Soooooooooo many of you recommended that I try this brand because they are supposed to be Lululemon Align legging dupes. Now, I’ve never tried the Align leggings, so I can’t compare them. I can however say I like these Amazon leggings. They are 80% nylon, 20% spandex, and buttery soft. Now, I can’t see wearing these to actually work out because I think the waistband would have trouble staying put. However, they are incredibly comfortable, and I will definitely be wearing them around town.

Or maybe you want a little bit of whimsy! Check out this red pearl sweater!!! Isn’t it sweet? I think it’s adorable! I also love it in the blush, the grey, and the blue. It’s soft and not scratchy. For size reference, I’m wearing a small.

This pullover is a favorite of mine, and certain colors are ON SALE! The quality is excellent, and it’s very similar to a Free People sweater I’ve seen. It’s really soft and a fun and relaxed fit. I like the exaggerated tall and skinny cuffs, as well as the band at the bottom of the sweater with the tiny slits. These details keep it from looking sloppy. For size reference, I’m wearing a medium. A small would work on me with jeans, but I wanted to be able to wear it with leggings too (seen in the next picture)

See! I love it with leggings too! I wore this outfit all around town and to dinner last week. I was super comfy and felt cute all day.

ADD TO CART
I love seeing other people’s Amazon purchases, so I thought I would share my last severalAmazon purchases with y’all today.
Who knows, these are items you might want to add to cart too!
Last year I bout this Aquaphor Healing Moisturizer, and it really helped me battle some really dry winter skin. It was time to reorder it, so I threw it in my cart! It’s under $20 and has OVER 70,000 5 star reviews!
You can’t look at the before and after pictures submitted by reviewers and not put these white strips in your cart. The before and after pics will convince you to give them a try.
I’ve had several requests to find a lower price alternative for Vuori joggers, so I’ve ordered these joggers to try. I’ll keep you posted!
I mentioned before that Carter has a soccer tournament this weekend and it’s supposed to be FREEZING. In preparation for these games, I ordered the following…
this heated jacket
this outdoor blanket
and this heated scarf
Can you tell I’m scared of the cold? I tell you, I will be nothing if not prepared. 🙂

COLLEEN ROTHSCHILD BOGO 50% OFF
The entire site is BOGO 50% OFF RIGHT NOW!
I’ve been using the Glycolic Acid Peel Pads for several years now, and I absolutely swear by them. After adding them to my weekly routine years ago (I sweep them over my face, neck, and chest after cleansing), I’ve never looked back.
So, what are they? Remember the Stridex pads we all used as teenagers? Well, these are the new and much improved version! While the Stridex pads were salicylic acid and more of an acne treatment, the CR pads are glycolic and lactic acid, both used for cell turnover.
We’re talking a spa-strength treatment formula that helps to help dissolve skin-clogging dirt and debris. And listen to this… your skin’s natural renewal process will be enhanced as a result of the 10 percent blend of The Glycolic and Lactic Acids in the pads. They target fine lines, hyperpigmentation and imperfections and will reveal a fresher, brighter, more even complexion. YES, PLEASE!
I’m ALL ABOUT brighter skin and these pads really deliver. They are large, so I sweep the pad all over my face, neck, and chest. There are 60 pads per order, and I’m only using one of these every several days, so they should last between 2-3 months.
These next two products are part of my winter skin arsenal and have been for years.
The Intense Hydrating Mask is an easy answer for skin that needs extra hydration. You apply it at night and let it sink in while you sleep. It gives a boost of highly concentrated hydration to tight, dry, rough or dehydrated skin. This treatment helps strengthen elasticity, leaving skin with a youthful suppleness and radiance. Just read the reviews if you want to know more. The reviews are fantastic.
Intense Hydrating Mask / Micro Mineral Resurfacing Scrub
The Micro Mineral Resurfacing Scrub is my very favorite mask to use, especially during the winter months. It’s $12 OFF right now. Whenever my skin is feeling dull or lackluster, I use this scrub to wake up my face and really brighten it right on up. After using it, my skin is SO SOFT and it truly does look healthier and more glowy. It refines texture, helps reduce clogged pores and brightens dull complexions by buffing away dead skin cells using the power of ultra-fine crystals.
I don’t like to spend a lot of time or money on expensive spa treatments, but this scrub is like an at home alternative to professional microdermabrasian treatment. Do you see the rose quartz pieces below? When I rub the scrub on my face, it feels like very very fine sand. It gently (but efficiently!) exfoliates and reveals newer and fresher skin.
IT’S AN INCREDIBLE PRODUCT.
Micro Mineral Resurfacing Scrub
The Face Oil #9 used to be too much for my skin, but now I can’t imagine it not being a part of my nightly routine. Colleen touts it as the ultimate in skin luxury, and I have to agree. It improves radiance. RADIANCE! Who doesn’t want to increase their radiance?!?
I put 1 full pump in my hand with the Extreme Recovery Cream (also seen below) and apply it all over my face and neck. It hydrates and plumps like nothing else I’ve ever used. The Extreme Recovery Cream is thick, rich, and ultra-creamy. My skin absolutely drinks this special little cocktail up. The Extreme Recovery Cream is $17 OFF right now.
And I’m not the only one that swears by it in my family. My mom and sister do as well. Actually, they are both devoted users of many products in the line. My mom did a full review of her favorite products awhile back, and you can click HERE to read all of her thoughts. She’s added in new products since then, but it’s a comprehensive review of her routine at the time. My mom is in her mid 70s and looks AMAZING, so copying her skincare routine wouldn’t be such a bad idea. 😉

TACO SOUP
I placed my Walmart+ order yesterday, and ingredients for Taco Soup were at the top of my list. It’s about to get REAL COLD here, and that calls for taco soup.
I don’t really follow a recipe anymore, I just throw stuff in.
This pot had the following: 2 pounds of ground beef, 1 packet of dry ranch seasoning, 1 packet of taco seasoning, 1 can of Rotel, 1 can of corn, 1 can of black beans, 1 can of kidney beans, and 1 can of hominy. Brown the ground beef, drain most of the grease, and dump all of the seasoning packets in. Don’t drain any of the cans, just drop everything in! Voila, TACO SOUP!
Top with tortilla chips (or Fritos), grated cheese, avocado, chopped onion, cilantro, and sour cream.
DELISH!

Keep us posted on the dupe joggers. I’m interested. 🙂

Will do! I hope to have them on this Friday’s post! xoxo
Rebecca says
I made the Taco Soup and followed your ingredients. However, mine came out very thick with hardly any liquid. It didn’t look anything like the photo you included where yours was more soupy. Did I by chance need to add some type of broth or other liquid that you didn’t mention? Please help 🙂
Sheaffer says
Hi, Rebecca! Hmmmmmm. Did you drain all of the canned ingredients? If you did, don’t! All of the juice from the cans is what makes mine soupy. My boys like theirs thick (more like a chili than a soup), so they use a slotted spoon to fill their bowls, but I like mine soupy so I just use a ladle and get as much soupy liquid as I can. When I heat up leftovers it’s sometimes thicker than I like, so I’ll just add water and stir it up before heating. Hope this helps! xoxo
Jill says
What style Louis Vuitton do you have?
I think I’m going to finally treat myself to one and like yours vs the popular Neverfull. thank you.
Sheaffer says
Hi, Jill! Mine is like 12 years old, and I don’t think they carry it anymore. It’s called The Sully. I hope you can find it! xoxo
