flare jeans and wedges.
Or you can see HERE where I paired a tee and military jacket with white jeans and flats.
Both outfits above are perfect examples of transitional outfits.
You know, outfits that have the “feel” of fall, but wearing them doesn’t require you to hydrate.
😉
And today I have another example…2 examples actually!
Sole Society reached out to see if I wanted to talk about some of their fall items, and I thought it was a perfect excuse to put together a couple more transitional fall outfits.
And GREAT NEWS….
With the code PTMT you will receive 20% off your first purchase of $80+ AND free shipping on orders $30+ at Sole Society!
(The code expires on 09/19 and doesn’t apply to any sale or StyleSaint items.)
*Please note that this code will only work for you if this is your very first time to buy from Sole Society.*
Outfit #1:
I’m wearing short sleeves to keep me nice and cool, but the tee is in a deep and rich fall color. I also paired a light and airy plaid scarf on top.
When I paired those two things with booties and a suede fringe bag, my outfit screamed fall.
But again, I was never in jeopardy of having a heat stroke.
WINNING.
My boots and scarf are c/o Sole Society this year…and I got the scarf last year! It was so popular that they brought it back!
I mean, COME ON!
THE PERFECT TRANSITIONAL FALL OUTFIT!
moto pants / drapey tee options HERE and HERE from Nordstrom, HERE from LOFT/

Take a minute to check out the bag.
I MEAN, HOW FUN IS THIS BAG?
It’s large, it has fringe, it can be worn cross body, and it’s a great neutral color!
Cute without the scarf above….but also cute with the scarf below.

Here’s the base outfit…because I feel like you need a better look at the pants.
Because they are awesome.
moto utility pants
I’m wearing a 27, so I think they are true to size.
And even though my exact shirt is sold out (boo!), I think drapey (is that a word?) tees in dark colors are a definite necessity for fall. Check out great options HERE and HERE.
I am also loving my booties (seen above) in “coffee”.
Sadly, mine are almost sold out…but I think THESE are great too! Love the double tassel!
And I’m thinking THESE would be great with jeans…..
but that they would be perfect with skirts and dresses!
Here are some other options of boots and booties from Sole Society.
And look at THESE babies. Fantastic reviews.
(And notice they are paired with white jeans!)
They also have great bags and accessories!
And then one morning last week, there was a bite in the air, so I suited up for fall.
It lasted about an hour and a half, and it was glorious. But by that afternoon I had traded in my jeans for cut-offs and my booties for cognac sandals because HOT.
Still, I was ALL SORTS OF FALL for a couple of hours. 🙂

AND Y’ALL!!!
HUGE NEWS!
For all of you that are OBSESSED with Natives for your kids (join the club)….Sole Society now carries kid’s Natives!
And even with the kid’s stuff, the code PTMT will get you 20% OFF your order of $80 or more (and free shipping) if it’s YOUR 1ST ORDER!
AND THEY CARRY A STYLE THAT NORDSTROM DOESN’T CARRY!
Check them out!
They are softer than the originals, Carter says they are “more cushiony and cozy” (that’s a direct quote), and I think they kinda look like TOMS.
HOW CUTE IS HE ARE THEY?!? 😉
And you can tell they are softer just by looking at them!
And I don’t have any data to prove this, but I think they make him a better dancer.
He’s got some moves. Mostly the hula.
Look at his face on the left. I die.
The rest of his outfit is sold out, but the the Natives are c.o. Sole Society!
I think we need a full shot of that face.
And a close up of the shoes.
So soft.
So cozy.
So stinkin’ cute.
Oh…and SO EASY.
They have regular Natives as well.
And I’m kind of dying over the Natives rain boots!

Thank you Sole Society for sponsoring this post and for my awesome new booties, bag, and earrings!
And MOST OF ALL, thank you for the new Natives for my little guy.
We both love them!!!!
I do want to point out that although there is free shipping and free returns with Sole Society, you do have to pay a re-stocking fee if you return something and don’t exchange it. Please read their return policy for yourself.
See everybody back here on Friday! I’ve already been working on the post, and I’m pretty excited about the outfit!
xoxo,
Sheaffer 🙂
p.s.
Do you remember this bag from a post I did back in July? It’s a bag from Sole Society as well.
.high-low tee / black and white graphic tote HERE AT SOLE SOCIETY and HERE at Nordstrom/ similar jeans / similar belt / earrings / necklace out of stock /
wedges / watch / cross bracelet
Don’t get too excited about this next picture, because the bag is NOT back in stock (neither is the shirt)….but I just wanted to remind y’all that my cognac cross body I got this year is from Sole Society as well. I’m telling you this just to vouch for the quality of the brand. I love the bag.
shirt sold out / jeans / initial necklace (40% OFF!)/ long necklace
And to continue to prove my love for the brand, I am still obsessed with my over the knee boots from Sole Society last year. (All clothing in pic sold out except the earrings and the necklace.)
You can see that post HERE.
All right…….carry on with you’re day!

I used to hate this time of year because it was so awkward, but now it might be my favorite all because of booties! You look amazing in all of these looks. Such great outfit inspiration, and how cute is your little man? Adorable!

I love the fringe crossbody! Which color do you show in your pictures? I can't tell from the colors on the Nordstrom site. I like them both.

Hi! Kind of off topic, but, regarding the $8 BP studs, have you seen the hemamite color in person? If so, how would you describe them?
I just snagged a green pair that were3.98 and I love them because they seem smaller than the colors I bought a while back. Anyone else think the size of those studs have shrunk compared to last year?!
Thanks!!!!:) ****sorry, I meant to say "hematite". I don't know why this field won't let me go back and edit. Anyway, they look similar to the crystal, but grayish?! Thanks again *******
Sheaffer says
Hi there! I don't think the green is smaller?!? Mine aren't anyway. The hematite is the same size as all the others and VERY pretty. A really dark and sparkly grey…almost black but sparkly (sparkly like the crystal and not flat like the other colors). Hope this helps
Anonymous says
Thank you! That does help. That is strange about the size- somehow my green ones seem lighter or more compact or something…..but online they all say 1/2" so Im sure its just my perspective. Do you have the hematite? I remember a photo of all your studs lined up, but I couldnt remember if hematite was one of them.
Sheaffer says
I have them and LOVE them!!!!

ooh thanks! Ill have to search for your pic of them. Oh, to be near a Nordstrom where I could browse, browse, browse! 🙂

I love this. Meanwhile, I'm over here in GA wearing a sundress and sandals. Sweating. I'll be so content when fall fully arrives!
Amanda Brezgel says
I really wanted that blue vintage oversized t-shirt but my order was cancelled! Love the color!!
Natalie @ Never Serious Blog says
I'm DYING over those black wedges! And I'm so jealous of the drapey tee look! I'm current rocking the GIANT band maternity jeans, so pulling off the front tuck drapey look just doesn't work out, but you can bet I will be rocking it once this baby arrives! 🙂
Kelsey @ The Peacock Roost says
Love all of these! Fall transition outfits are the hardest in my opinion. You did a great job putting these together!

Great post! Here in So Cal it is 76 and raining; this weekend it's back up to 95 – yuck. I'm SO over shorts.
BTW, I was able to snag the Cognac Sole Society crossbody last week. It is being sent from a Dallas area Nordy's and will be on my doorstep when I get home tonight!!
Tim, Lisa and Company says
The plaid scarf: love! It totally makes the drapey tee + moto pants outfit! 🙂 Also love? The adorable striped, fringed, hooded (and sold out!) cardi in the last pic! What a great transitional outfit: still some brights to nod to late summer but in a cardi with sweet boots to pay respect to the coming season! 🙂

aaak! i cant find it! didnt you do a picture lineup of all your stud earrings recently? what date was that? thank you!
Sheaffer says
The crystal and malachite earrings didn't become available until after that group picture was taken. I don't think the malachite earrings have been on the blog yet, but they are sooo pretty! xoox, Sheaffer 🙂

I'm a little embarrassed by how excited I was to see the new Toms version of Natives. My five year old will LOVE them!!
Holly Bennett says
Did you find the Zara booties run true to size?
Sheaffer says
Hi Holly! I think they run a tiny bit small. Most people on the site said they ordered a 1/2 size up. Hope this helps! xoxo, Sheaffer 🙂
Jeanie says
Cute Sole Society items! Carter's pretty cute, too!! 🙂
Caty Roberts says
I can't tell by the picture of the natives if they could also double as a fall shoe. Thoughts?
Sheaffer says
Hi Caty! YES to them working on cool fall days. NO to cold winter days. Hope this helps! Xoxo, Sheaffer 🙂
