Y’all, it’s September 8th. And if you are anything like me, you are READY. FOR. FALL.
I want a drop in temperatures IMMEDIATELY. And while I’ve got no interest in pumpkin spice lattes, I’m all sorts of ready for football and sweater weather. And I tell ya, I’m dying to throw on a light jacket or cardi, and you can go ahead an BRING ON THE MUMS!!!
Today is all about fall inspiration!
I’ve got inspiration for your closet today and next week I’ll have some inspiration for your home. ENJOY!
This Fall tee is soft, adorable, and obviously perfect for a pumpkin patch. Or a corn field. Or a state fair. Or just an everyday trip to the grocery store.
You’ve seen the cardigan many times on the blog. It’s so soft, hangs perfectly, and comes in 13 colors.
For size reference I’m wearing a medium in the tee and a small/medium in the cardi.
These raw hem ankle jeans are different than the jeans I raved about on Friday, but they are from the same maker and still awesome. They do have a raw hem and a cropped fit like the others, but these are a darker wash and they have more of a skinny fit.
Here’s another look at the gold party bangles. These bracelets are totally made for summer because they are light weight and waterproof, but I wear them all year long. And I’ve got some great news! You can use the code SHEAFFER25 for 25% OFF the bangles and FREE SHIPPING! You can actually shop the entire site for 25% OFF! WHOAH! Thank you Goldenthread!
Y’all know I’m a firm believer that EVERYBODY needs at least one military jacket. This mlitary jacket is an incredible deal at ONLY $39 and it’s DARLING. Now, the grey is almost sold out, but other colors are available. It’s 98% cotton and 2% elastane, giving it a great amount of stretch. The fit is awesome, and as always, I love the stand up collar.
For size reference, I’m wearing a 6. This is often true to size for me in a jacket like this.
I have to say, I’m loving both the Goldenthread necklace and the bangle set! The necklace is GORGEOUS (I love a monogram) and it’s also 25% OFF with FREE SHIPPING with the code SHEAFFER25. The chain is so delicate and pretty, and the necklace is so chic. It’s a great fall staple.
Not a fan of the grey military jacket? Here’s an olive green option WITH STARS! It’s definitely a FUN FALL FIND! It’s lightweight with just a bit of stretch. It has button closures, which I thought I didn’t like at first, but I never zip up a jacket so it’s actually fine. And I really do like the look of the buttons.
It also has an internal drawstring that allows you to cinch in the waist and customize the fit. The tone on tone stars make it interesting and I of course love the collar. For size reference, I’m wearing a medium, but I actually have it cinched up quite a bit…so I think a small would be a better fit. I guess I would say that it runs on the big side because I would typically take a medium in a jacket like this.
One of my fall outfit formulas I follow every year includes a great pair of jeans, a white tee, and a chunky cardigan. And I really love a cable knit cardigan for those cozy fall vibes. You can find similar cardi options HERE.
Another fall outfit that you will see me in a lot when running around town in the fall is a combo that probably most of you already have the pieces for in your closet. A pair of joggers, a tee, a denim jacket, and sneakers are all you need!
This white tee is under $15 and has a great and relaxed swingy fit. I love that it’s not tight. The joggers also have a nice relaxed fit. I don’t like joggers that are too tight, but I don’t like them baggy either. These are just right! For size reference, I’m wearing a small in both the tee and the joggers.
I’m not sure if I’ve even taken these huggie earrings out over the last 2 weeks. They are definitely going to be a fall staple for me.
You saw this outfit just last week, but I knew it deserved a spot on today’s fall inspiration post. There aren’t many outfits more fall than a rust colored sweater and camo pants with booties! LOVE!
This sweater is a beautiful color, and I love it for fall. It’s officially called “red”, but it’s definitely more of a pumpkin or rust. It also comes in black, blue, grey, beige, khaki, and a light pink. It has mixed reviews, but I really like it. In fact, I like it so much I think I might grab it in black too. For size reference, I’m wearing a medium.
These pants are stretchy, comfy, and oh so flattering! And they are great for teachers. They aren’t jeans, so I’m thinking most of you could wear them during the week! They’d also be great styled with a basic black sweater, a basic blush sweater, a basic cream sweater, a chambray shirt, etc. The sky is truly the limit.
And Y’all. Can you believe this tote? Isn’t it gorgeous? And it’s under $30!
The tote comes in sooooooooooooo many colors. I ordered 3 in the brown/cognac family, and this one was the clear winner! It’s called “brown new”, and it looked the most like real leather, and the color was definitely the most rich. As you can see, I like tying a bandana to the strap (click HERE for all Madewell bandana choices), but look below the bandana and you will see the cute tassel that comes on the bag! It’s great too! And this tote is the perfect size for the medium felt organizer.
Also, I’ve had a handful of readers ask, and it’s definitely smaller than the cognac tote I have from Nordstrom. I know some of you didn’t like how large the Nordstrom tote was, so I’m happy that you now have this as an option. I will say, I’ve carried the Nordstrom tote for over a year now and have always been impressed with the size and durability…but this new tote actually looks nicer, and it honestly looks more like real leather.
That’s all for today, y’all! Just a little fall inspiration for you. I’m betting most of you can recreate similar outfits with pieces you already have in your closet, but if you are missing a piece or 2, I’m hoping today’s post will help you fill in the gaps.
